This pharmacy made a miraculous transformation from being one of the worst to the best in a matter of a few months. I almost gave up on them, but I hanged in there because of the convenient location, plus I don't like changing things in general. Without getting into details, they did EVERYTHING WRONG before! Part II - had to have my prescription transferred to Elmira store because Monte Vista was "out" of drug. Huh??? Called at noon to see if they indeed had my meds, yes they did. Give us 2 hours to fill. Asked will you contact me, yes was the reply. No call, at 2.5 hours later I called them. Yes it was ready. When I arrived 10 min later, had to wait 20 minutes for the tech to return from lunch because she had to sign off on it, Is this a test????!!! read more

I have given them multiple chances to see if my next prescription would be filled on time but without fail it never seems to be filled when they say it will be. CVS Pharmacy on Elmira Road -- #1. Their website does not work properly. Revised password per instructions. #2. Then my account states I have had no prescriptions in the last 1 month -- although I know I had 3 picked up! #3. I called their phone system to clarify problems with the website and to check on 2 new prescriptions sent in today... and was put on hold without asking saying there were a "few" people ahead of me. #4. Remained on hold for 15 minutes having to listen to loud obnoxious advertisements repeat 9-10 times! #5. Finally got a live person and as soon as I said, "Yes, I'm calling about..." -- THEY HUNG UP ON ME! Being bedridden I had to go ahead and send my care provider to drive there to check if my 2 new prescriptions are ready. What the heck kinda way is this to do business?! I got automatically transferred to this pharmacy when Raley's closed theirs last month. If CVS is too busy to handle new clients -- then they shouldn't have taken on the Raley's transfers! Everyone is friendly helpful and works fast. I came in just to get some hand cream because I'm running low. Ran into other goodies and picked up some lip balm for stocking stuffers. I couldn't help but notice they charge more for a lot of items you could find else where for less. I came here as a last resort because Target's parking lot was a mess and it's Christmas Eve so I'm glad I avoided it . However the mark ups are ridiculous lol. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I arrived at 8 a.m. and it was still closed. 8:05...still closed...finally opened at 8:10ish...then checked and saw the pharmacy wasn't opened till 9 a.m. at least that was what the sign in the front of the store stated. So I returned promptly at 9 a.m. And the pharmacy was....surprise surprise not open...at 9:10 and a line forming behind me I went in for a closer look and to my surprise there was an obscure not readily visible sign posted stating the pharmacy has new hours on the weekends...now open at 10 a.m. On my way out I stated to the front clerk who was busy on his phone that the pharmacy isn't opened till 10 but the front sign in front stated 9 his nonchalant reply was "oh yeah I just changed the sign"...thanks bud... read more

I've been ambivalent about this pharmacy, I've had to depend on them to fill special prescriptions for my 92 year old mom. Today, I became a fan. My mom's hospice regularly sends them prescriptions for mom. That was the case today, as I had to refill a painkiller. The hospice told me the prescription should be ready but call ahead. I tried, but their automatic phone answering system is a bear to deal with. I was on the phone for 12 minutes, and still not getting any attention, so I hung up. I waited for several hours after the hospice told me the meds should be ready, then went in. The technician checking my order told me they couldn't refill the prescription because not enough time had elapsed since the last refill. I was desperate since I was out of painkiller, and today was the day to change the patch. I called the hospice, and they tried to call in, but the same thing happened to them; they waited, but then their call got dropped. As I was talking to the pharmacist's assistant and the nurse at the same time, the pharmacist overheard me say "hospice". He stopped what he was doing and asked if this was for hospice. When I replied yes, he immediately turned to his assistant and said "I will overrule. Get his medicine." Now I'm 64, and lost hearing from 30 years around airplanes, so I didn't hear all he said. I think that like me, he's not an English native speaker, so I didn't catch all he said. I guess I sounded offended, and he asked me to wait, though he couldn't tell me when the medicine would be ready, as they were very busy, and it was getting close to closing time. I got nervous! Imagine my pleasant surprise when the assistant called me in less than 10 minutes and handed me my Mom's prescription. For stepping up and helping me take care of my Mom, thank you Mr. Pharmacist (how I wish I knew your name, for I would like to give personal kudos to you and to your fantastic assistant). Thank you. I walked into CVS Pharmacy to get a flu shot. As I was entering, Ahmed, the pharmacist who gives the shot, was leaving for lunch. When he saw me he remembered I was coming in for a shot today. So he confirmed my reason for coming, delayed his lunch break, went back to the Pharmacy dept, and gave me the shot. By the way, painless!! This Pharmacy is the worst! LISA, specifically has a horrible attitude and an angry demeanor at all times. The first time I experience her unpleasant attitude, I brushed it off to having a bad day...until I came back weeks later and it wasn't changed one bit. She yelled at an elderly customer who was sitting with her walker for standing too close to the counter. I understand the need for client privacy, but there were a lot more tactful ways to ask someone to step aside instead of "Could you get out of the way?". This CVS is also horribly disorganized. The shelves seem to always be empty, and the floors are disgustingly dirty. Someone needs to stop worrying so much about when their lunch break is and start caring about the store! read more

I stood at the counter for 5 minutes, and an asian pharmacist who was standing in front me didn't even acknowledge my presence. Finally, an African American female showed up to help me. I have never ever experienced such a terrible experience ever!!!! Never again!!! I arrived here at 7pm and it's now 8pm!!! My doctor sent over my prescription during lunch, so at noon....I call at 3 to verify if it's ready and the female tech I spoke with states "it's still in process, it will be another hour" I was fine with it because I was still at work, however that's ridiculous considering it was sent at Noon! So I'm here now and they state that I'm not in the system nor there is a prescription ready for me. When someone completely told me "it was in process" when I called. Worst part is that I didn't get the techs name. There's a total of 5 staff me members and none of them seem to know what there doing. There's been 3 people that have left unhappy due to to them "not receiving" their prescriptions. Oooppssss another one right next to me who is pretty upset. read more

I come into CVS quite often. I'm irritable when going now because I noticed the cashiers take FOREVER and sometimes there's only one person. Its irritating because I work around the corner and there not fast enough for me to get to work on time. I shouldn't have to plan on going into a store a certain time and hope someone there is going to be fast enough. My other issue is there is a young girl which I got her name (Megan) thinks she knows everybody's husband. We seen her in a smoke shop she was indirectly speaking to my husband and entering into conversations we were in. My husband which was wanting the manager she started to TRY and talk to him. He came into my work saying he's never going to CVS again. I wouldn't want to either feeling uncomfortable due to staff. So yeah CVS lost two customers because of one employee. That's a shame when your employees are not professional. And I would highly suggest surprise drug test her. But I doubt CVS does that anyways. read more

Worst pharmacy staff I have ever encountered. They didn't even acknowledge me the first 5 minutes I stood at the drop off booth. To make matters even worse, my sons doctor called the pharmacy while I was waiting to let them know that they needed to give my son the 250 amoxocillin dosage. The pharmacists totally disregarded the doctors orders claiming I had already left with the medicine and continued to bag the half dose. All they wanted to do was close the pharmacy. When I called the pharmacist on it she just glanced around and apologized. I informed her I would never return again, and neither will my friends and family. I hope my sons raging double ear infection gets better even in this smaller dose. I have already notified the doctor of what they did and plan on finding this pharmacists supervisor. read more

I was at the pharmacy and saw a guy walk in really pist off. So i thought well this guy is being a jerk.. I thought these folks are kinda overworked and understaffed. I held back on making judgement and i was kind to the clerk. But.. after refilling online. and getting a text saying my prescription is ready for pickup 2 days ago... i called in just now and they said its not ready.. but maybe by 6 tonight and its 4 now.. hmm. something way wrong. We've had terrible experiences and service at both the CVS on Monte Vista, and the Wal Mart in Vacaville, so we decided to give CVS on Elmira a try. The Pharmacist was SO incredibly nice; he really seems to care about customers. I dropped off the Rx, thinking it would be at least an hour wait (like at WalMart) but by the time I got to my car I'd already received a text that the prescription was filled! I believe I just shopped for the last time at CVS on Elmira. I was in there wandering around, no one to help on the floor. I can hear the lone cashier asking for backup help at least 3 times while I'm wandering around looking for help. Decided to forget it and headed to check out. Must have been 10 or more people in line and the poor cashier is still calling for help and did so at least another 3 or more times before this big man came barreling through the line, almost knocked over the small child behind me without saying an excuse me or anything. I thought thats probably a manager. Sure enough, it was. Then standing there waiting in line, the kids behind me were looking at a Hersey candy display and I look too and its covered in ANTS. Big ones. Crawling in and out of the boxes on the display. I told the cashier (not Manager) who was checking me out. He's going to report it. But after years of bad service and even worse customer service, there is too many places in town, cleaner, friendlier and happy to help. I wish I didn't have to give and stars to have my review post. i recently lost a crown on a tooth and needed a quick fix until i could get in to see my dentist. i went into cvs because it is the closest pharmacy to where i live. i had previously checked at walmart to see what they carried and decided that i would check to see if cvs carried something that might work better. they carried the exact same product at cvs as at walmart. the walmart price was $2.76. the cvs price was $6.89!!! that is just plain unethical if you ask me. i will only buy things that are sold at the mfg. suggested retail price so i know they haven't inflated the price. i don't like the store layout and am just glad that i have so many other choices so i am not stuck shopping at cvs. i miss longs!!! read more
