I lived with excess weight and now, skin, most of my life. Even as a teen I was never able to just be myself because my brain was too busy telling myself I was too big to fit in. My mental journey is a whole other level but what I can say is that dr Thorburn removed a lot of baggage for me. I had a Fleu de lis abdominalplasty and an implant exchange. She removed about 10lbs of skin, tissue, and fluid. She was realistic about my results, and was incredibly supportive of my goals. "I just want to be able to function" I told her. I got soooo much more. She gave me the freedom to finally feel comfortable in my skin. The first week was a rollercoaster. She warned me about that and I thought, meh I'm pretty positive and don't really complain, I'm sure it'll be fine. My first week post op visit was rough. I wanted to cry because I felt like I was doing so well with recovery the first couple days, then I felt like I was back to day one. I felt defeated. it's a whole mental journey- but I say all this because she really spoke to the mental piece of such a major surgery as well as the physical. She really treats you as a whole- and not just the piece she's working on. She sees YOU. I recommend her to EVERYONE. Hands down, the absolute best in her field. This review I thought I'd focus on Dr Bosler's hygienist, Molly. Molly is extremely knowledgeable. I'm a nurse myself and am so impressed with her care of the whole person. She is so thorough she has been able to assess a few dental problems and address them early saving me from a much worse problem and expense down the line. A few years ago Molly noticed a "shadow" on my inner cheek that warranted a visit to my primary care doc. As it turned out there was no cancer and I did not require further work up. I've been blessed to be able afford dental checkups my entire life. However, having a team of professionals who have helped me avoid serious dental issues and expenses really has helped! Molly, if you read this, I hope you to know you're the best of the best. You look at the whole patient, their lifestyle and needs. I went last Friday and good thing I got there right before 1900 as they had a sign on the door saying they were closing early, at 1900. I went today and got there just before 1800, to find another sign stating they were closing at 1700 and yet there were at least two employees inside ignoring me standing at the door. It's very frustrating having an unlimited membership where I schedule my sprays around important events, that I cannot use because you continue to close your establishment early. Had I known you were closing early, I would have come earlier, as I'm sure I'm not the only customer who feels this way.
