I used to love this pharmacy but ever since the Walgreens nearby closed, I noticed long lines whenever I go pick up prescriptions regardless of the time. They hired more people but the lines are still long and you have to wait. Upon getting your receipt they have coupons and discounts you can use which is very helpful incase you need something. Outside the pharmacy, Ok customer service, staff are trying their best. Shelves are stocked but most are locked now. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Outside has a lot of unhoused people or people asking for a change. read more

Now it's a very long wait when picking up your prescription. Since their competitor closed everyone goes to CVS. Outside the mall still has not improved. So gross and very unsanitary outside. I had a bad experience with a pharmacist (male) at this location today. I received a prescription for a new medication & asked for a consultation to ask about possible side effects. Rather than providing me with any information, the pharmacist told me that there was printed information that accompanied my prescription and that if I read it, it would know everything I needed to know. He barely looked up from his computer screen when he provided this "consultation." If felt his conduct was dismissive of me and very unprofessional. I view pharmacists as medical professionals who have valuable information to convey; this man seemed to view his job as filling little bottles with pills. It was very disappointing. read more

I can't believe I'm reviewing a CVS but here goes. This is the worst drugstore I have ever seen. Half the shelves are empty. The store itself is dirty. Employees are rude. I found an item that I needed but could not buy it because it was expired. I'm sure, along with half their other stock. It doesn't look like anyone has taken inventory in years. 2 star rating on this place surely holds up. Rude people picking up the phone and saying whatever it is to get you off the phone without actually performing whatever you requested. I requested a prescription transferred to this location 2 days ago, promised it would get done. Called right now and it's not even in their system. I'm not even confident that the person I spoke to just now will take care of it today. Unprofessional and rude but excellent excuse skills. Feels more like ordering take out when dealing with this pharmacy. Rude employees, will b-- sh--t you and will never get your order right. I was standing in line behind one person and there was no cashier at any register. I saw Erma from a distance and I yelled "excuse me can we get some help please?" She turned to look at me and then turned back around and continued doing what she was doing and didn't care to say if help was on the way or if she would help herself. Talk about poor customer service. Hell did eventually show up, no thanks to Erma. read more

I'm actually a little confused by the reviews of this pharmacy. I have had very opposite experience. I agree that the parking lot is terrible. It is in desperate need of complete repair and especially that exit that leads to Redwood Dr. It is a disgrace. And it is true that there are lots of homeless lingering about, but I haven't had any trouble with them. The missing star is because of the terrible parking lot. The pharmacy itself is what I am focused on. I love the pharmacy staff and the pharmacist. I agree that the Admiral Callaghan location is newer and more shiny, but I really don't like the pharmacist there. I've had him scold me on the phone for daring to ask when my (overdue by him) prescription will be filled, and same has happened in the store. He doesn't manage stress well. I've never had anybody at the Sonoma location be anything but respectful and helpful and will gladly take on that parking lot to get inside. I also DO like the front cashiers. They have always been friendly and helpful with me. I have had few, if any, problems finding what I am looking for in this store and get in and out quickly. No complaints. read more

I have always been treated with dignity and respect coming to this pharmacy for years, this is the 3rd time I've been made to feel like dog doo doo because I advocate for my own health and the medication I have been taking for over a year due to several serious medical conditions. I was told there was a shortage in my medication and that cvs had no idea when they would receive it? Leaving me as a patient scared as to what is going to happen to me: I called Rite Aid and they said no problem they can fill it on Monday. I don't know who I spoke with today but she lacks compassion for patients, the pharmacist with long black hair is amazing, always treats me with dignity and respect. I'm considering moving everything back to Rite-Aid permanently. Unacceptable, I even looked up how the pharmacist could help in different ways and no help was offered, just made me feel less than a person, happy holiday, I hope all has better health than me, oh and I have two types of insurance. I've had many problems with this place but nothing like today. I had a painful infection needing medication. Doctor sent them here as usual. Went to pick them up yesterday and they were so preoccupied with helping a woman with some insurance they can't take I had to leave to get to work on time. Tried to transfer it to a location near my work, they closed at my lunch time, so they transferred it back. Ok, no biggie. Life sucks but eh that's life. Come back today, had to wait 10 minutes or so. No big deal, no work today. I get up to the counter and find they have to reprocess the whole thing because they neglected to fill it. Fantastic. Meanwhile, this guy to my left has his phone going on about rapes and murders and when I call him on the fact I don't want to hear that at the phramacy. A little back and forth and he decides an appropriate reaction is to threaten to assault me. Not going back to this CVS. read more

The staff is always nice and super helpful. We have been going to this pharmacy for a couple of years now and no issues with service.

You can fill pet prescriptions at their pharmacy, and usually at a better price than my local vet. Gotta know your prices tho but they are very helpful in price checking They also accept GoodRx (free online discount, prices listed online) -- $11.50 at CVS, my vet wanted $40+. Yes, a separate 20 minutes drive round trip is worth $30! read more

The people are nice and friendly. But the outside is such a gettho .trash is right by the entrance and the walkways are filthy and smells bad due to homeless people using that entrance as their toilet. The need to power wash the are everyday. read more

This pharmacy is SLOW, has CRAPPY SERVICE, and should be AVOIDED! I work at a different CVS (in pharmacy) and this place makes me ashamed to be a CVS employee. The pharmacist who is usually on duty sucks and obviously does not care about anything. Staff are slow as hell and no one seems to follow CVS protocols. There was no one in line or waiting, I dropped off a script for s freaking Z-pack, they did not ask me if I wanted to wait, they just said "it will be 30-45 minutes". It would take less than 5 minutes at my store, now matter how busy we are! Next time I went there was a huge line, well beyond 3 people, and they only had 1 checkout lane open. One tech was slowly typing (I guess) and the other one was filling. THEY SUCK. read more

This review is geared more toward the Pharmacy in the rear of the store. THEY SUCK! PERIOD. POINT BLANK! Today's experience was the last straw. Prescriptions are NEVER ready at the specified time. and they always say "it'll be just a few more minutes." And well, those 'few minutes' turn into a half hour or more. Unacceptable. I remember a few months ago, my dr sent an electronic Rx over to this pharmacy, and an hour later, it STILL wasn't ready. I almost passed out standing there waiting, waiting, and waiting. Very unfavorable to a sick person. And if your Rx is actually ready, be prepared to stand in the slow azz line that NEVER moves because the person at the register is probably arguing/debating with the person at the front of the line. Totally unorganized these people are. Do yourself a favor and go to Walgreen's up the street (on Redwood St. & Broadway). THEY have a drive thru pharmacy with ZERO complications. The store is clean and has the usual stuff but I was let down by the lack of certain items like generic advil PM, compression Sox, men's hygiene stuff, and more. Also the pharmacy staff seemed more interested in discussing their favorite BBQ things among themselves rather than helping customers. The store should have remained a Long's Drugs... I like this store as it is very conveniently located near my residence. I may not like their parking lot thats normally surrounded with homeless and beggars but I do like what this store has to offer. Very friendly and professional staff. Half a star for putting me on hold for nearly an hour and another half for rude customer service. I called 4 days ago to get prescription refill of my pet's seizure medicine. 3 days ago I was told that I have zero refills left therefore they have to contact my vet and the meds should be ready by thursday. Today is thursday, did not hear anything from them.. on hold for an hour and when I finally contacted the vet office, they have not gotten any calls from CVS for the prescription which is why they are not refilled and most likely my dog will seize because we're out of meds. This pharmacy is not the place to fill your prescriptions. They do not treat their customers with care instead they are impolite and disrespectful. Yesterday as I was in a long line for pick up, there were two incidents were the staff had an exchange of words with their customers. I went in to buy an alarm clock. I chose one and went to purchase it. At the register the price was double what it said in the isle. So I went back to find the one with the price i wanted to pay. Almost every clock they had left didn't have a price that matched. So i push the help button and wait. Nothing. Push again and again nothing. Now I've been waiting at least 10 mins. So i push the hell out of that button and nothing. Then i look behind me and there's a woman stocking the shelf. She statrs walking towards me n i ask her if she works here. She says yes while walking right past me and as I tried to tell her my problem she was gone. Went to the register and completely ignored me. Doctor's orders also were not processed unless I called them and let them know there were prescriptions to be filled after days of waiting. All I had was one item to purchase in the pharmacy line and there was only one guy ahead of me. I stood at this line because when I entered CVS Pharmacy, I saw that the line n the front of the store had at least 15 people waiting to purchase their items. There was an Asian worker at the Pharmacy assisting someone at the drive thru window while two of us were patiently waiting (the guy in front of me and myself). Here comes another CVS Pharmacy worker who was a young African American lady (my receipt says trainer, so I didn't know her name). I couldn't believe how long it took her to help the guy in front of me, but it felt like a lifetime. The line was getting longer and all I had was one item which was paper towels (set of 6). The guy in front of me requested for this medicine and she asked him for his license I.D. It took the CVS Pharmacy so long to type the drivers license number, enter the item, etc. She asked the Asian worker who was assisting someone at the window for help and took forever while we were waiting to be helped. I will never shop at this CVS Pharmacy and I will pass the word to everyone I know. How can this person be working in the Pharmacy when she doesn't know what she's doing. I asked her for a CVS card to get discounts and she said they don't offer universal cards anymore. This is not true because I've received it before. Customer service in any business should be fast, accurate, and efficient. By the time I was finally helped, all the 15 people at the front cashier were long gone. Time is everything and patience only goes along way. The trainer who is working the Pharmacy at CVS is too slow to work the cashier and should either be trained or work in a different area. read more

One star is way to liberal for this poor excuse for a pharmacy. To begin with I went to the pharmacy to give "who happened to be the manager" my ID and insurance card so my prescriptions could be delivered. A week later I find out the manager lost my cards! So I went back and again they lost the cards. It took three tries to get that completed. That was in late December. In April I find out they hadn't refilled my heart medications since January. They didn't bother to ask the doctor or to call me. To make matters worse they had been sending me insulin that the doctor had discontinued and for over 3 months couldn't send the right ones. I had called at least three times and basically had to yell at them to get it straightened out. I finally had to call the district manager to try and clean up the mess. Soon after I was still having trouble and finally waved the surrender flag. I wouldn't trust these people with my health or even my dogs health! As the rating says "Eak! Methinks not! read more

if i could give a zero i would! placed an online photo order that sent me a conformation email stating my order was processing. 3 hours later when it should be ready for pick up my husband stops by on his way home and was told all online orders need to come in...what?! that defeats the purpose of "online" so i call the store and speak to the manager who tells me that they cant recieve online orders and the kiosk guys cant figure out whats wrong and cant help me. My thing is online it should state that something is wrong and the order wont or cant be processed and have to come in store, the manager goes on to tell me that i would have to call back tomorrow morning and speak to the store manager...well who the hell was i talking to when i called and asked to speak to the manager?!
