When you can't find what you want in the hair section over at Target then abandon hope and head on over Sally. For some reason I have the most god awful time zooming in on the right hairbrush. It may take 5 or 6 attempts to get it right. Target doesn't have 5 or 6 of what I'm looking for but Sally does. Also Sally sells equipment aimed at professionals. Their hair accessories (sqirt bottles and hair widgets) work and last a long time. A long time ago I used to buy perm supplies here. But once I retired I let all that go. If I could rate my experience in this store less than a one star, I would. Not just because of how the staff spoke to me, but how the staff spoke about their employees. Jennifer was very disrespectful in the way she spoke about her employees and she is not the type of person I would want to work for in the slightest! I am beyond irritated with Sally's beauty right now and so frustrated. I went to Sally's last night to buy hair dye to dye my hair. I have dyed my hair this hair dye multiple times before with no problem and I have purchased all of my products at sallys over the years. Last night I had my hair dye and bleach in hand, ready to pay at the register. There are two employees that help me last night. I normally always dye my hair red and I asked the first employee which color bleach should I use and she help me pick the color bleach that I should use based on my hair and everything was good to go. I was at the register ready to pay this second employee I don't know her name. She just had red and blonde hair she told me that I should not use the bleach or that specific red, and she instead suggested an argon oil lifting product and she also suggested a different hair dye. I have always had beautiful red hair when dying my hair last night I used what was suggested, even though I had all my products that I regularly use in hand. This employee stepped over the other employee's toes that helped me and I regret listening to the second employee. I use the hair lifting twice, and it didn't even lift my hair at all. Then I dyed my hair today and the roots are the only thing that is red the bottom part of my hair and ends are not red at all I am beyond frustrated because I paid a lot of money for this hair dye and the lifting product just for one it's not lift and it's to damage my hair because now I'm going to have to bleach my hair and re-dye when that was what I was gonna do in the first place. I feel like every Sally's I've been to, staff has been very helpful and educated whether it comes to nail, hair, or makeup products sold at the store or advice. This location needs a new staff that actually wants to work an serve the customers. Every time I've came here, they never have what I need. And these are top selling products that they should constantly have and have back ups in their backroom. However they're always magically out of them. Every time they get their shipment it seems to take them 2-4 days to go through... how is it that you're not a very busy location but it literally takes you days to get your shipment open. I know that there's a way to check to see what product you were shipped, because you're supposed to check it off, for inventory purposes. But this girl was just so unwilling to check for this product. Tall slender light skinned female with reddish hair. It's sad to see such unenthusiastic workers working for a fun company. And sad that I have to go spend extra money to get to another Sally's so I can get the product I need. It's awful customer service like this that keeps plummeting your sales. I don't come here often but today I came with my nephew to buy a few things and Catherine was such a great help and delivered top notch customer service. My nephew was looking for pomade and I was looking for purple shampoo. It took me about 5 minutes walking around the store to realize I may need help. I called Catherine over and all I said was I was looking for purple shampoo in a gold bottle and she knew exactly what I was talking about. She walked me to the correct aisle and pointed exactly where the product was. Catherine displayed deep knowledge about the product - Blond Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner. She said if I didn't like it I could bring it back. Also, she helped my nephew find his pomade. I guess they only had the gel product on the shelf but again Catherine knew what we were looking for and she went above and beyond by going to the back of the store and getting the pomade. Catherine also shared with us that there was a deal going on for that particular pomade. It was buy one get one free so we bought both. Thanks again Catherine for all the help! read more

I did not have the best experience with Sally's. They had a promotion of "buy 4 shampoos for $20." You can only buy multiples of 4 to receive the promotion. The Vallejo store only had 3 in stock and could not honor the promotion price for the 3 shampoos. Instead, I bought 8 shampoos online with the promotion. I received 3 of the 8 shampoos from my online order. They cancelled the remaining 5 shampoos due to being out of stock. I called to ask the status of my order and was then notified that my order was cancelled but they would send me the rest of my order once the product was in stock. The day after, I checked the website and they had the shampoos in stock. I called to ask them about the status of my order now that the shampoos were in stock. They said they no longer had the 4 for $20 promotion and that I would have to pay the original cost of the product ($8 each). I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being on hold for 40 minutes they said the is supervisor was not available. The customer service was terrible and the representative was neither empathetic or helpful. I do not think this is right. It's a coincidence that my order was cancelled due to being out of stock, yet the next day they had the products again but without the promotion. I do not plan on using their website as their online stock does not seem to accurate. read more

I stopped into Sally's today and was greeted quickly by the assistant manager Angelina. Usually when I go in there I feel a little timid with the other employees but Angelina was quick to ask if I was doing ok which made me feel very comfortable to ask her some of the questions I had. She made some recommendations that would be best suited in what I was trying to accomplish with my hair and also even taking the time to go to the back to get some product for me that wasn't on the floor. I was greeted as I walked in, and wandered around for a minute or two with my son jumping around like a caffeinated monkey, trying to find what I wanted when she found me. She asked me if I needed help and then directed me to a few different items that I was in search of. I found the service to be very satisfactory, the prices comparable, and the sales gals were both very sweet to my 5 year old that hadn't had a nap and was on the verge of a meltdown.
