HEB was not accepting new patients for my medication. I was beginning to panic because I have to take this medication to function and would become extremely sick if I didn't have it. The Pharmacist promptly asked for my information, set me up an account over the phone and told me to have my Dr send over the prescription. She was very kind and professional. I had initially told her I had insurance but it did not cover the prescription and when I called back to confirm it was received she wanted to make sure, in fact, that the insurance wouldn't cover it because it was almost $300. I always have issues every month with CVS. I didn't have not one issue with this lady who didn't even have an account with me to fill a prescription that is so important for me to live. Folks stop dead in the middle of aisles, park carts diagonally across entire lanes, and stare into the distance like they're solving international diplomacy instead of choosing between a 40-pack of granola bars and a barrel of cashews. Spatial awareness goes here to die. To be fair, the employees here are consistently polite, helpful, and somehow manage to maintain their sanity while directing human gridlock for eight hours straight. The store itself is also impressively clean, especially considering it regularly looks like the entire Gulf Coast showed up at once to buy mayonnaise by the gallon. And honestly, it's a fine store. If you're ever in desperate need of an 8-pound can of tuna, a case of Bavarian sauerkraut, or enough paper towels to survive a minor economic collapse, this is your paradise. Most of the time Kroger Pharmacy is awesome and amazing, but there have been a few issues that make it less than 5 stars. There have been a couple of mix ups with my insurance and what was covered and for how much but at least they are polite and helpful so that goes a long way. I do like that I can get refills through the Kroger app which is awesome. They're pretty good at letting me know when they're ready too. I wish they were open 24 hours like a Walgreens and it sometimes seems like they could use more staff. They say they offer the flu shot but I haven't gotten it here yet. I guess to need to do that! This would have been a 3 star review except for the awesome customer service I received today. That bumped it up and I appreciate the pharmacist and the staff for taking good care of me! They also told me about the GoodRX app to help with prescriptions that aren't covered by insurance so that was super awesome! Tiffany is super friendly and very good at customer service. But not just that, she's good about building a relationship with the customer and making sure the product they provide will meet the needs of their customers. She was very thorough in asking me what my family needed as far as fillers, colors, coatings, etc. Previously, we had been driving more than an hour and half to pick up compounded medications. Now, our drive is only 30 minutes or so round trip. And the costs are similar so where we saved was in time and travel expenses. I am impressed and so happy to call this our new compounding pharmacy. Also, very happy our allergist told us about them because, even though we'd been in that shopping center many times, I never noticed the pharmacy (probably because we always commented on how funny it was that a flower shop was right next to an allergist). Tiffany said they opened in 2015. We started seeing the nearby allergist in June 2016, so it's always been there! Now that I have been there, I don't know how I missed it all these times!!
