Sam and the staff at Cyberline have been nothing but top notch for the business I use to work for and for us in our personal needs in pc. I have had older windows PCs rebuilt by Cyberline and made into a tank and it worked better than most new computers. We needed a MacBook and Sam came through with a beast of a machine and has everything we asked for. We had a small problem with it afterwards as expected from a used pc and Sam made it right and made it right fast. Regardless of the bad experiences other may have had, I can say this, I have been doing business with these guys for years and I don't believe they would mistreat or mislead anyone into buying something that isn't real or true. Don't do any business at cyberline,.sold my wife and i an imac,told us it was 2011 model retailed in 2012.27 inch screen. Turns out it is an early 2008 computer with a 24 inch screen.they have not offered to help in any way other than to refund less 25 percent restocking fee. If i could give less than 1 star i would. I checked another imac they have advertised as a 2011 on showroom floor,in the about my imac tab it says it also is a 2008,then they try to cover it by saying that is the production date of processor. nothing but lies covered in more lies. It really is sad when you place your trust in someone to help you make an informed purchase only to discover later than they did nothing more than take advantage of your lack of knowledge. read more

I've had excellent experiences with Cyberline. They're a family owned and operated small local business, for one thing, and I love to support those. Three years ago, I bought a laptop from them, and realized it wasn't what I wanted; I returned it to the store, and we worked out a deal whereby they credited the purchase price of the unwanted laptop toward a mail-ordered laptop with the specs that I did want, for a fair price. I'm typing this review from that laptop now. Two years ago, I ordered a bunch of custom parts for a gaming PC I wanted to build, dropped them off at Cyberline, and by the end of that day Sam had built the entire PC from parts, and installed the OS with custom tweaks I asked for. It's worked great and he did a flawless job. This week, I dropped that same PC off with them for a repair and an upgrade. They're always willing to let me watch them work, they listen carefully to what I have to say about any issues, and they're easygoing and easy to chat with about computers, Roanoke, the weather, or anything else you can think of. These guys know their computers and they'll always be my go-to computer shop. read more

This place sold a refurbished desktop and laptop computer to my mom with pirated copies of Windows 7. They told her the RAM in her machine could be upgraded later, but in reality it was already maxed out at 4 GB of DDR2. They told her the laptop had a brand new battery, but this "new battery" doesn't even last an hour off the charger. I'm not sure if they're lying or if they don't know what they're talking about, but I told her to never go back there. You can get a better (brand new) budget PC for your money with one of the boxed models at Wal-Mart. read more

In February 2018, we bought an Apple Macbook Pro at Cyberline. We purchased the computer for our son who was leaving for grad school. The owner told us it was a refurbished Apple and was good as new. We expressed concern since our son would not be in town, but the owner assured us that if we had ANY problems we could return it for a refund. Less than a month after the purchase, the computer would randomly shut down. We took the computer back and the owner said it was just the battery, which he replaced. The problem persisted after the battery replacement. We called the owner and he agreed to give us a refund. Since then, we have stopped by the store and made numerous calls in attempts to be refunded as promised. The owner claims he does not have the money to refund us and he will probably close his business, however, the business is still open. Now, we are stuck with a computer that shuts off while the battery still has a charge and are out of the full purchase price. Our son needed a reliable computer for grad school and we purchased a new Apple Macbook Pro from Best Buy and have not had any issues at all. Seeking legal action now against the owner of Cyberline. DO NOT GO to this computer repair shop. I brought my computer in to replace the CPU cooling fan and was informed by the shop that the cooling fan was fine and that my laptop was just old. I was incredulous and the tech informed me that he would take another look and call back. HE NEVER CALLED BACK, i was called later by the owner, Mike, and informed that my laptop no longer worked and the motherboard was fried. He informed me that they re-pasted all the thermal compound, and refit the screws, reset the motherboard, reset the fan, and after they put it back together the computer would not turn on. He attributed this result to my motherboard randomly dying in his care and refused to fix it. Mike also refused to acknowledge that his team may have shorted the motherboard, THE MOST COMMON MISTAKE THAT CAN BE MADE WHEN REPAIRING A LAPTOP. Mike, Offered to fix it for another 300 dollars (cost of parts only, he did offer free labor) at which point I informed him I would be seeking legal counsel. He then refused to return my laptop for another 3 days why he "reassembled it" and "took photos for the lawsuit". Currently I am in process of filing a lawsuit to recover the cost of repairing my laptop. I am in my final semester of school and this has caused untold stress.
