took my tires to get changed the guy was cool really fast service but after riding my bike 20 minutes i noticed it bouncing so i removed the wheel and they had left a valve stem inside the tire on a brand new tire luckily i noticed it right away but it can mess up somebody elses wheel really bad at high speeds i didnt even go back to fix it with them. if you cant take the time to inspect your work the first time even just rolling the tire then you cant be trusted. read more

Came to this shop because they were the closest at the time and I needed a front tire. Was there for around 4 hours with them trying to mount it, they didn't have the right size inner tube. After 2 trips back and forth to a different shop to buy a tube they finally got the tire they sold me to hold air. Met the owner had a great conversation with him on bikes. The price was reasonable. The quality of work was subpar. I hired them to install new tires on my Triumph and I was in and out in 1 hour. About 2-3 months later I noticed that my handling was off and one of my tires was wearing quickly. I inspected it and they installed the tire with the rotation arrow pointing backwards. Called them to bring it in and they fixed it on the spot but no discount or partial refund. I ride a lot and my handling is still off as I have 50/50 tires and the tread is worn off unevenly. I recommend for the prices but please verify they did their work right. I couldn't contact the owner. read more

Would never come back to this shop or recommend this to any of my biker friends. This guy sold me a pair of pirelli diablos that where 10 years old. I didn't notice at the time, figured he was legit since I was recommended there. I noticed cause when I was getting on the freeway going 10mph leaning to get on the ramp, my back tire fishtailed and almost launched me. I get off to check my tires and I noticed the date they where manufactured "0611" they where made in 2011!!! And the front one was made on 2010. Not to mention he ruined my rims. They helped me find great tires down the street from them for my KLR 650 and installed them for 50% cheaper than anywhere else in San Diego. Also great prices on used tires as well as new ones. I do not recommend this place nor will I ever come back. I arrived with my back rim and asked for a tire. The guy said no problem and that it will be $115. Sounded reasonable so I went with it. After about an hour he brought my rim back and said the tire on it was practically brand new. I wanted to pay with my card but said cash only and I didn't get a receipt. I didn't have time to put my tire on until 3 days later. When I went to put it on it was flat. I looked at the tire and saw there was a plug in it with a yellow circle around it. I'm sure he knew it was a bad tire when he sold it to me. The reason for cash only. I went back to let them know about the tire. It was a different employee who wasn't very friendly. He asked if I had a receipt and informed him the other worker didn't give me one. I showed him the tire and he saw the yellow circle around the plug. It appeared he knew the tire was from there shop. He told me to come back in a few hours. I came back and gave me the exact same tire with just another plug. Again he was not professional and with an attitude. Took my Ducati 1199 here for its first tire change. Stock tires lasted me 2k miles so I went with Pirelli Corsa II. Stock tires were Pirelli Supercorsa. Those I'll recommend for track use only. We will see how long these will last! The shop is very organized and they do the work very careful! I can do it myself if I had the tools and the tire changing machine. Miguel and Axel were careful with the magnesium wheels. Used rags in between the machine arm when removing both tires and didn't scratch anything... if it was my older Ducati I wouldn't care but this one only has 2,700 miles so it's fairly new still and I was taken care of for a great price. Guys don't go to this place! I didn't listen to the bad reviews and I gave them a chance to check on my own and all i gotta say is that this is by far the worst mechanic shop ever. Worst customer service, the owner named Juan won't communicate with you to keep you on track of the bike's progress, they stole money & time from me. Just to revise my bike, it took them more than 2 weeks, and after two months of not having a solution and just guessing what was wrong with the bike making me buying unnecessary parts just giving me fake hopes, wasting my time and money, I decided it to take it somewhere else. I called to ask if they work on a particular motorcycle. I was told they did not and didn't know who did work on this particular model. I was also told that he would ask if one of the mechanics would do the work on the side outside of the business. I never got as much as a call saying sorry can't help you. You never know what type of people you are dealing with until their word fails to mean anything. I will never contact them again nor will I recommend anyone to this place. If you can't follow through why even volunteer to assist. Thanks for nothing. If I could give half a star I would. Guys don't go to this place! this is by far the worst mechanic shop ever. On 3/16/21 paid to have motorcycle evaluated for repair. I received a call that if I wanted them to work on my motorcycle I would have to give a deposit, so they can order the parts to perform a carb rebuilt, I gave the deposit 3/25/21. I took a battery to them on 3/29/21, they claim that they were going to install the battery with the repair at no charge. I was told that at the end I was going to get a detail receipt with everything that was done to the bike and the parts that they use. I ask if it was going to take one month, the owner claim it was going to take one week after they receive the parts. I try to stop by the shop several times, but they were always close and always had an excuse, finally went back 2 months later, and my bike was not even been work on, he claim that they were having problems with their deliveries, but he was going to send me an app to see the progress, I never received it. He call started to insult me, I just wanted to know when it was going to be ready, he gave me a date for 6/4/2021. Went to pick up the bike and the bike was leaking gasoline, I check the gas tank they claim it was cleaned, it was dirty. I have a witness that saw parts of the bike falling off and the mechanic trying to put the parts back on, I ask if they wanted to keep the bike till the problem got fix, they refuse. No detail receipt was given, and when I ask for the detail receipt the owner got upset, Got home and the motorcycle was still leaking gas and the RPMs were high. Looks like nothing was done, I ask for my money back, and they want to check the motorcycle. I refuse to take it back. Worst customer service, the owner named Juan won't communicate with you to keep you on track of the bike's progress. read more

ZERO STARS My brother in law told me about this place, saying they have good tires for a good price. I rode here and asked about how much it would be for a tire, he gave me a quote of $160 for a tire change and oil chain cleaning. I got a tire that looked in good USED condition, or so I thought. So I paid and when I hoped on and started riding towards the super busy street, I noticed my rear brake was going all the way down and wasn't working, so I used the front brake nearly getting hit by a passing car. They never pumped my rear brakes to make I could brake properly. That was the first thing. I went home and parked my motorcycle in my driveway. About 3-4 hours later, I walk outside to go to the bank and notice my motorcycle tire that I had gotten that day is FLAT ! ABSOLUTELY COMPLETELY FLAT! I couldn't even ride to the gas station on the same block to fill up my tire with air. I was super mad. I called and told them what happened and he said to go ahead and take the tire in. I had my boyfriend take the tire off and when he was removing axel nut he said it was super loose and not tightened properly at ALL. He didn't even use the correct socket(or whatever tool it is) size to remove the axel nut. He just turned it with his hand, and it came off . He expected it to be really tight, but was not tight at all. THE ONE THING THAT HOLDS THE TIRE IN PLACE WASNT EVEN TIGHT. Dangerous much ! My boyfriend and I both take the tire back to the shop. Wait about half an hour. He comes and tells me there was a hole and that he patched it up. I said okay and he put it in my trunk. I went and talked to the main guy and I said "well what if this happens again, what if the tire goes flat again?" He said "it wont", and that's when I said "well it went flat within 3-4 hours of having the tire changed out", so I said, "will you give me a different used tire if it goes flat again" and he said once again "if it does go flat again, then yes we will change it out for a different tire, but it wont go flat again". As if he is so sure... That is what pissed me off the most. Fucking rude ass dude. No im sorry or anything like that. Left, and told many of my other rider friends what happened and to be aware of this place. They may be cheaper but not worth the fucking hassle to me. SAVE YOU MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE like Southbay motorsports. Where the people are nicer, and more professional. And actually apologize when they fuck up. If anything would of happened to me, they would have a lawsuit on their hands. I could have died from them fucking up. PIECE OF ADVICE TO THIS "SHOP"- Make sure you recheck your work. Joshua, one of the mechanics was very informative as to the other services they offer. I brought my HD back 2 days later to get my front brakes done. I brought in the pads. Great customer service and attention I don't know why so many bad comments but I decided to take a look and I'll tell you was worth it! Checked reviews and found this guy talking trash about this shop and turns out he works at the competence haha funy! I bought 2 tires from this guy and told him I wanted to get them now because I needed them but I can't ride my bike until my tags come. He told me that was fine and that he will still honor mounting my tires for me. I came back 4 days later after my tags came and he acted like he didn't remember me and said that I only paid for a carry out price not to have my tires mounted on my bike. Even though I was very upset about it I was still going to pay the difference to have them put on. Then he turned around and doubled the price to have them put on. I visited him during the weekend for the first time because I needed my rear tire changed. He had alot of different options starting from $50 and up. He knows how to recommend tires and WOW the service is awesome. Hes a very chill guy and is very knowledgeable with his own business. Whoever talks shit about Juan Mendonza (owner) most likely doesnt know shit about their own bike. I respect him as the owner of this shop and i will be his long time customer from now on. Also, notice that there are not that many used tire shops around in San Diego. Alot of his tires have more than 85% thread left which is very good. Go visit him. You will DEFINITELY not regret it. TIPS: He even mentioned about my chain needing a service (which i totally forgot about). He is willing to clean it out for ya for a very cheap price and will leave it in immaculate condition. PS. Just bought a Harley and was in the market for some new tires. I called multiple different shops including Harley Davidson, I found that this shop had the best deal. In fact, he was 50% cheaper then the Harley dealership. Juan, the owner, was very polite and responsive. I called him an hour before he closed and he offered to stay open late to accommodate my schedule. When I got there the shop was clean and organized and he promptly got to work. During that time I expressed that I had few concerns about the bike and asked if he could take a look at them; he was more then happy to do so. I was in and out of the shop in about an hour and was very pleased with his work. He also addressed the issues that I had, and advised me as to what my options were. On top of the great service, Juan went ahead and included a 6 month warranty, a free tire with my next purchase and a free tow anywhere within a 25 mile radius! I took my bike here a couple of years ago. Rode my bike from Vista Ca, to his shop. They didn't have the tires that they advertised. These clowns put mismatch tires on my bike. And I'm sure one of them adjusted my clutch cable to make my bike immobile then tried to charge me to fix it. luckily one of his customers led me to why my bike wasn't running as it did before he took it in his garage. These clowns wouldn't even help just told me I could leave my bike there and his mechanic would look at it. The customer helped me and I was on my way. This dude is a F**KING JOKE!!!!! read more
