I was scrolling through Instagram and an ad for Cyclebar caught my eye. They offered a free class so I decided to sign up. They texted me right away and offered me a class the next day. I was very excited and nervous because of Covid but when I got there my nervousness disappeared. When I parked, I saw that everything was outdoors. They had someone check you in and help you out with the bike. The bikes were a good 6 feet apart. Ive done soul cycle before and this is different because you have a screen to look at. The instructor tells you what RPM you need to be at which really helps me. The class was good and the team was extremely pleasant. read more

I absolutely love this location! The staff is super friendly and you can tell they all love their job. The cycle stars are professional, fun and super motivating. I also can't speak highly enough of the layout of the studio. You walk in, grab your shoes in front, walk to the back where they have lockers, benches and water (sometimes kombucha on tap!!!) and then the room is nice! Everything seems so new and renovated. I know times are crazy especially during COVID, but this studio has gone above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and SAFE. Love this new spin studio in Carmel Valley. CycleBar is a brand new, high end spin studio with connected smart bikes, an enthusiastic staff and a great clean interior. I've attended a handful of times now through Class Pass. When you get there you can check in and pick your bike, get complementary spin shoes, and grab a water if needed. The staff is attentive, so if you need help setting up your bike they jump in. Sometimes the staff hover a bit more than I'm used to/comfortable with, but knowing they are simply trying to help and make sure you set up your bike correctly (for your own safety) helps me get over it. The classes go fast, and the dark room helps get you into it. I've loved the music each time, and the classes are varied enough to give you a great workout. The other people taking this class have been all ages and experience levels, it really is a one size fits all type of class. When you're done they give you a cool towel as you leave - it's wonderful. I'll continue coming here for a long time, so glad they came to the neighborhood. read more

I have been to two classes with Alissa at this new location and wow what a great class it was. Already during class number 2 I could feel a difference. Each time walking out of there with a great sweat and positive mind. Alissa was a phenomenal instructor. For a beginner like me she made me feel very comfortable and the music was super motivating. I found this place during the quarantine and rented a bike. When I gave it back the manager gave me a great deal for a month. They are clean, professional and doing everything to stay in business. I absolutely love this spin studio! The high points: *Great location in Carmel Valley in the shopping center at the corner of Del Mar Heights Road & Carmel Country Road. Always plenty of parking right outside the studio. *Well maintained Schwinn bikes with small computer screens that monitor your performance. I love the bar weights that are used for the arm segment. Choice of 2 weights for each bike. *Excellent, high-quality instructors. I particularly like Chris Foley's classes. They also have fun "themed" classes and charity rides. *Really nice overall environment - the staff is friendly and welcoming. There are free refreshments - coffee/tea and bananas. You receive a cold towel after class. *I love that CycleBar participates in ClassPass so that you can try a variety of different classes without having to sign up for a full membership. To be honest I'm a yoga person and didn't think I'd enjoy cycling but everyone here makes it so fun! 45 min class feels like 20 min and I get an amazing workout and have fun at the same time! I've been indoor cycling for 10+ years in NYC. I moved to Carmel Valley several months ago and took cycling classes at other local studios and gyms. CycleBar CV is by far the best in the area! The instructors bring their own unique style and energy to every class they teach. The studio mixes things up with fun challenges and specialty themed classes. The classes are as challenging as you personally make them. The instructors provide ample motivation and inspiration to help the riders achieve their personal best. The facility is immaculately clean. The studio has both indoor and outdoor classes now during COVID-19 which are great. The owner, instructors and staff are professional, attentive and genuinely nice people. It would be nice if they offered more than one Empower class per week. I'm glad I found this studio! read more

They are all about their clients and providing a safe personable and "Cheers" ( I know I'm dating myself with that reference) atmosphere. Life changing. I go here almost every day during the week because it's so close to work and it's been the best decision I've made rather than a gym membership. I've never been to a place with such phenomenal and friendly instructors. They literally do take out the time to get to know you personally. I was looking to try a spin class about 6 months back, and started looking around San Diego for the best one. After a few different gyms, it was clear that this was the best one. For starters, CycleBar as a company makes your experience more enjoyable by giving you clip on shoes each class, a dry towel for during your workout, and then greeted at the door after the session with a cold, wet towel. They have lockers and showers that I use before work in the mornings as well. With that being said, I've now tried 4 different CycleBars across the country (since I travel) and the staff and overall experience at this one is by FAR the best! The staff is extremely friendly and genuine, their workouts are tough but always different, and their playlists rock! I feel like I'm always looking up songs that were played during class once I'm back home. Come in and check it out! read more

A few months ago I was in the winter slump so I thought I would try cyclebar. At first I thought it would be hard to get to with traffic. Then I realized I could go the back road. I realized there is an entrance right across the street from the Carmel Valley Library. I take a class at the library so I go from the library to Cyclebar. Everyone is really nice. Praful the owner is very hands on and does a great job making sure eveyone has a great experience. I like that they have the shoes and towels so I can just show up. I take Kris's classes the most due to my shedule. He does a job! I occassionaly can get to classes at another time and the instructors also do a great job. read more
