Extremely friendly woman that works the front desk. I believe she is the owner/manager. It's a great class and quite the leg workout!

Over the years, it's been a reliable place to train, and the Carmel Mountain location continues that tradition. The employees here are consistently friendly, respectful, and welcoming, and the facility is generally clean and well-maintained. It's a comfortable gym with a positive atmosphere, whether you're stopping in for a quick workout or spending a couple of hours there. My only criticism is the layout and equipment selection. The space could be utilized much more efficiently, and the organization of the equipment feels a bit scattered. There are also several older machines that could benefit from being replaced with newer, more versatile equipment that better reflects today's training standards. With a few updates and a smarter floor plan, this location could be one of the best in the area. Overall, I'm still a big fan of both this location and the 24 Hour Fitness franchise as a whole. The staff, cleanliness, and overall experience keep me coming back, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for a dependable gym in the Carmel Mountain area.

This gym is really outdated and in desperate need of a rework. Everything is pretty old/dirty, and…read morethe AC basically is nonexistent in there. The outside setup is pretty rough too, so much wasted empty space they could be using. The space has so much potential but just seems like the management doesn't want to put in the effort to remodel like the Carmel mountain one down the street, the UTC one, or the Balboa one. Probably the worst one out of the 4 I just mentioned. However, because of its unfavorable status, it's actually one of the less crowded ones so I guess that's a plus. Closes really early too, 8 PM on weekends for a 24 hour feels pretty bad. Luckily, weights weigh the same anywhere so you can still get a good workout in even with the low quality of equipment.

I had initially joined when they were running special last year for the grand opening, I ended up canceling because it took forever for the Black Mntn location to open. I finally decided to give it another try. Signed up a few months ago. First visits were good staff were nice. I got a tour my 1st visit and I wish i remembered his name but it was his 1st week there. He was great and explained how everything works. I wish they had trainers at this location. I heard trainers are only available for the Location on University. Not all the equipment have bar codes for you to see how to use it on the APP. I stuck to what I knew and tried a few new ones. It took a couple of times for me to figure out when it's not so crowded. The APP does show crowd meter but it's not always accurate in my opinion. What they could improve on. Do away with the free teen program during the summer. Nothing against teens but to me it made the place even more crowded. I also noticed most of the teens were not following gym etiquette by wiping the machines down when they were done. I also saw quite a few of them just sitting at the machines on their phones. Overall I like the gym and the Black Card membership is ok. Quite a few times the Black card membership perks like the hydro massage were closed. I wish the were 24/7. But I think the membership price is fair for what you get.

I have tried this gym a couple of times. It's brand new. Staff isn't really very professional acting. I mean it's a gym, but they could make any amount of effort and they really don't. My persisting issue here is that they have little or no hot water! I even called them before I came today to see if they repaired whatever issues a brand new gym can have, to not have hot water. The guy straight up lied to me and told me it was fixed, and joke's on me, there's no hot water. Fool me once... Their Google and Yelp reviews make multiple complaints about the lack of hot water. They know about it and they definitely aren't going to fix it. Fellow black card members, bypass this location altogether. You can thank me later.

The…read morefront desk staff and the gentleman at the smoothie/snack area are very nice but that's about it 1. NO a/c or proper ventilation; recently it has been borderline dangerous to even attempt a full workout here with how hot and musty it is. The building genuinely stinks and it's extremely hot with stagnant air that will make you feel sick 2. No new machines/ outdated machines/ machines taking ages to fix; the fact that they have 4 rooms (2 which were freshly remodeled) for things like zoomba, treadmills, Pilates and glutes with an upper floor solely for treadmills is outrageous considering their weight lifting machines are constantly breaking and taking weeks to fix. 3. No parking due to how many people will come at one time to partake in the Pilates, zoomba, glute, and treadmill class 4. Over priced with no amenities. The pool is nasty, locker rooms are gross, sauna is full of creepy old dudes. 5. Horrible hours of operation on weekends. All of these would not be a problem if they didn't charge 40 dollars or more for passes. Not to mention the lack of cleanliness from other gym goers who don't wipe down machines or use two at once and waste other people's time. Still a decent gym with good people but not worth it compared to things like the new gym that opened in RB that's open 24/7.
