This is a great studio! I usually go to Hillcrest but every once in a while when they are booked up, I will drive up to Scripps Ranch. If it was a little bit closer, I would come here more often. The studio is very clean, the instructors use great music and I always get an awesome workout! Plus the bathrooms are huge, love it. I didn't see a shower, which most spin Studios have a shower, but maybe I missed it, I wasn't planning on using it either time I had been there. read more

I have been an avid tread mill girl for over 15 years. I needed a change. I came with my neighbor and friend who has been going since they opened and even though she owns a Peloton bike, she prefers to do Cyclebar, so I knew I had to give it a try. Admittedly, my first ride was not the best because my seat was adjusted a little too high. My butt was sore from the seat which is to be expected and it took me a few classes (2-3) to learn how to clip in and out myself. The instructors I've taken (Mace, Trisha, Pam, Kat, Stephanie, Alana, Nancy, Vanessa & Adrian) have all been great in their own unique way and style. Trisha had a few playlist that kept me singing the whole ride (90's music baby). Mace, Pam and Adrian are sure to push you out of your comfort zone. They're all great and very supportive of new, seasoned and everything in between riders. It's an overall positive and uplifting environment that I've become hooked on and is also why it did not take me long to become an unlimited monthly rider. read more

I recently celebrated my 600th ride, and the community here made it unforgettable with endless support. Not just on that day, but throughout all the milestones leading up to it. What keeps me coming back isn't just the amazing workouts. It's the people - the instructors who pour so much energy and heart into every ride with intentional curating of their classes and supporting their riders, and the riders who show up for one another like family. I have pretty bad social anxiety so going to a gym by myself or going to a class by myself has always been a struggle. I challenged myself today. Signed in and put my belongings away and patiently waited by the shoes until a front desk lady asked me if I needed help. She was SO SWEET! She was like an emotional support person for me lol. Walked me in, set me up, and spoke to me with no shame in my ignorance. I'll continue to need help for a while with these bikes but I'm ever so happy to have taken the class. Listen!!! The Scripps Ranch Cycle Bar is the place to be. I had not been able to workout for two years due to injury in the Navy which resulted in medical discharge. After my wife convinced me to come with her for Valentine's Day, that was the beginning of a transformation in my life. No matter the instructor, these ladies are about that life. I was concerned about the injury and the seats of the bike (no seat should be that hard to sit on for real). But I have become addicted to Cycle Bar now and have a membership with my wife. 150 rides later and still loving CB! I'm ecstatic that they're adding some twists to the class formats (more choreo please) and always enjoy the music. Friends think I'm crazy for being a spin enthusiast but I just say that it's like working out in a club. Nobody is judging you if you're off beat and you can go at your own pace. Love the instructors hate their policies because: #1, you can't use your membership in any other CycleBar locations. #2. I have to cancel the membership because the class schedules can't fit my schedule to have an 8 class monthly membership of $89/mo. I planned on just dropping by when I can make it. But now, since I signed up 30 days ago and they said I need 30 days notice to cancel. I have to pay for one more month before they cancel. How in the heck will I know when I signed that I'm going to cancel? #3. they make it hard to get a hold of them for cancellation. It's not in their website. You can only sign up there. #4. If you're not a member, you have to pay extra for shoes. I suggest if you're new to cycling, try the class packs instead of memberships. Even with that though, there's an expiration date you have to take note of. Otherwise, the instructors and workers are friendly. Love the attitude they bring, but be careful of the fine prints that you sign. read more

Been coming here for a little over a year but finally getting around to writing a review. They have a really helpful staff for first time rider. They'll take time to go over your shoes, the bike, the set up, etc. It is such a fun way to get a good workout in. The instructors are super upbeat, encouraging, and keep the vibe high the whole time. They play the best variety of music that really gets you in the zone. BEWARE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP ONCE YOU SIGN UP! It's a scam. It was exciting to go to a brand new cycling studio closer to home. What's not to like about new equipment, sweating and feeling good? It was easy to sign up for a founders membership. The biggest problem? Trying to cancel it. After 3 months, I began not enjoying spin as much... I found my way back to my first love which is running outdoors. So I tried to cancel my membership 30 days out before the next billing cycle. So far... NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE. NO ONE EMAILS YOU BACK. THE ONLY COMMUNICATION THAT WORKED WAS ON INSTAGRAM. The moment I asked to cancel my membership, THEY GHOSTED ON ME. See conversation attached. They also continued to post new IG stories while reading and ignoring my messages. If I ever decide to return to spin, I'll go back to the Carmel Valley location. Update: 200 rides later, still so in love with this community! I joined CycleBar almost one year ago and I'm still here. The instructors are amazing and you can really tell how much they love what they do and how skilled they are. You literally can't go wrong with anyone's class. Lately I've been riding with my girl Yuliya. It has been an absolute treat watching her grow from a new instructor and into her own over these last 6 months or so. She is able to find that perfect balance between bringing the fun and motivating you to be your very best in every class! It just goes to show the true caliber of people that CBSR has and the instructors are incredible. One year later I've truly found a community that accepts me for who I am and I always look forward to coming to these classes. CycleBar is the best, love you guys read more

So glad this Cyclebar location opened up! It's off the 15 freeway and near the Scripps Ranch Trader Joe's. Parking can therefore get quite busy, however spots are still plentiful since it's located within a small shopping center. Jose, the general manager, and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and encouraging. Everyone is approachable and willing to help newcomers adjust their bikes. The studio is pretty standard/up to par with other Cyclebar locations I've visited. Cycle shoes to borrow, bathrooms stocked with helpful hygiene products (lotion, deodorant, etc.), lockers to store your belongings during class, and a filtered water machine. Don't forget your reusable water bottle to fill up! There are plenty of class times offered throughout the day. So far I've taken classes with Eden, Pam, Nancy, Ellie, and Kat - all awesome instructors! Every class has been fun and challenging. You'll receive an email summary of your ride afterwards. The post-class email also includes a helpful link to the instructor's Spotify playlist, so you can focus on your ride versus trying to remember lyrics to a song you liked during class. TL;DR: try this location and workout at least once. They even offer a free first class! read more

I like the workout so I come here but am going to try other cycle bars because this one serves alcohol and it's so strange to me. You can't not drink for an hour? Everyday life alcohol is pushed, the place I would not expect that is a fitness studio. Drinking alcohol at the studio is promoting drinking and driving. Just very weird. The front desk lady was extremely rude to us. We had booked the class through the third-party app (Class Pass) and arrived 2 minutes before the scheduled time. However, they refused to let us in, claiming that we needed to arrive 15 minutes earlier. The entire process was incredibly rude and disrespectful and they repeatedly asserted that we had no control over the Class Pass app since it was a third-party service. I don't know what on the app , but you cannot take the class at all! One of the front desk lady, I don't know her name, but I think she has black hair. I can help to check you in from my end even though you are not allowed to take this class, otherwise they will charge you extra money!!! Excuse me??? Check me in, but not let me taking the class???? It was completely unacceptable to be treated like that. I had simply booked the class through Class Pass because it was a more affordable option, costing only $4 per class. There was nothing wrong with that, and I expect them to stop treating me like this just because I did not book class through your website!!! Stop doing that PLEASE! read more

She made sure we got adjusted on the bike and was very knowledgeable in showing us how everything worked. The class itself was difficult but it was so fun! I have so much fun coming to Cyclebar Scripps Ranch. The location is in such a great spot. All the instructors are AMAZING. It's was my first time ever doing indoor cycling and I just fell in love with it. The vibes and the workout just hits better for myself then going to a gym. What I love so much about this studio is that all the instructors all help push you and motivate you throughout the entire ride. Also, they all try to connect with you even when you are off the bike. Lots of the rides can be intense but if you're not sweating or even struggling a little then I don't think it's a work out. The front desk staff are super friendly, engaging, and helpful every time I'm at the studio. I definitely recommend this studio for anyone curious or wanting to try out indoor cycling! I tried indoor cycling when I was 20 and thought I was going to have a heart attack. Nearly 20 years later I was riding a bike outdoors after work to get back in shape after having my second kid, and then in the fall the time changed and I couldn't ride after work anymore. This location is just a block away from my office and has perfect evening class times for my schedule, so I decided to give it a try. I was pretty sure I was going to die my first class, but instead I got hooked! I signed up for a monthly membership immediately after my promotional classes were used up. I have been going for a little over two months now, and I feel great and look forward to every class no matter how my day has been, which has always previously been a challenge for me when working out in the evening. Prices are very reasonable especially for a specialty fitness studio. I spend almost as much on two pilates classes a month as I do on my 8 class membership with CycleBar. There are cancellation charges for missing classes, but if you contact staff ahead of class they can usually waive the fee which is awesome. They are pretty much constantly running promos for classes and memberships as far as I can tell. The staff themselves are very friendly and helpful. Classes are energetic and the instructors really know how to motivate you to get the best out of your ride. The studio is always clean with plenty of wipes, sanitizer, etc. They also often provide free snacks and beverages as well which is an awesome bonus after a hard workout! read more

The instructors vary in their methods, so you can get a wide variety of workouts and experiences by riding on different days and times. I've been to other CycleBar locations and am impressed with how friendly and personable the instructors are at this location. Would highly recommend giving them a chance.
