Fantastic manicure. Not a lot of bells and whistles to this place, but my manicure lasts an entire week without chipping.

I started coming here 6 months ago and I haven't stopped! It took me a long time to leave a review…read morebecause I usually like to stop by a nail shop place a few times before judging it :P First off, I love that I don't have to call in. I can always message them via text and I usually get a response in less than 15 mins for an appt. I haven't had a problem in getting an appt day of; sometimes for the same hour! Second, I don't have a preference in the technician, and I think I was serviced by all of them at least once. All of them are great! Some are faster than others and those that are slower are because they want to make sure they get your nails done perfectly. If you are in a hurry, let them know. My review is solely on the dipped mani and regular pedi because that's the only thing I ever get. I love that they have a huge selection of colors and that they have a 14 day policy on pedi and 12 days on dipped mani. And for real people, they do last that long. On the cases that it doesn't (which happens occasionally), you can come in and get it serviced for free. Make sure you write down the color number at the end of your appt. For the pedi, I love that they have a filling out card that asks you what kind of lotion and scrub you would like. They have quite a selection and all of them are great! My favorite are the lavender, rose and mango. The regular pedi without any add ons are $28. Dipped mani is $40 and on Mon-Wed it is $35 with cash. I think this is a great deal! They also have an electronic punch card reward system (all logged by your phone number) and I've always been able to get a 10% discount. The store also has its own private parking lot and shark tank or chopped always playing in the background. If tv is not your thing, the store also has its own private mini library. I'm a regular now and I don't regret it one bit. They are open literally EVERY SINGLE DAY of the year. New Years, Christmas... you name it. Oh yeah, as always, don't forget to bring your tip in cash!

THIS PLACE GAVE ME CONTACT DERMATITIS FROM LETTING ACRYLIC DIP DRY ON MY SKIN AND USE DIRTY TOOLS…read more LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS. THIS IS HOW THEY WERE GOING TO SEND ME HOME IF I DIDNT SPEAK UP FOR MYSELF. These people are lucky I didn't call the cops yesterday and report their shop to the Lake County Health Department and the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). And now that I HAVE CONTACT DERMATITIS DUE TO THIS NAIL SHOP, I'm currently building a case. These people wanted 135$+ for this hack job. I was still willing to pay full price until they called me names and acted rude. I didn't even raise my voice at them at all. They treated me as if I was trying to haggle the price down for telling them the truth. THE LADY WHO DID MY PEDICURE ROUNDED OUT ALL MY TOE NAILS. EACH TOE NAIL IS A DIFFERENT SIZE AND SHAPE. MY ACRYLIC NAILS ARE ALL DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES. SHE SLOPPILY LET ACRYLIC DIP GET ON MY SKIN WITHOUT REMOVING IT, THIS GAVE ME DERMATITIS! Their stationary supplies aren't clean either. I didn't get what I wanted at all. I asked for chrome and they didn't have proper chrome powder or polish, yet argued with me that it was chrome. They were going to send me home with nail acrylic on my skin. They didn't even bother to remove it. If I didn't say anything they would've sent me home debauched. I payed them out of pity and simply not wasting my time arguing.. I got a last minute appointment around 2:00. The minute I walked in I felt hostility. It was not busy at all (figures). They both started doing my nails at the same time. The girl doing my acrylics was HOVERING OVER ME STANDING with no table or anything doing my hands. It was unprofessional, sloppy, and it felt rushed. She was standing up rushing through my nails. I got a mani pedi done with an acrylic full set in less than 1 hour. That's how badly they rushed for some odd reason. I called before coming, mind you. Nobody was in line either, the nail shop was dead. They had no reason to rush a mani pedi + full set of acrylics in 45-50 minutes. That's impossible for a good set. This was the weirdest shop I've ever been to in my life. I've never been to a nail shop and had such a negative experience until I came to Northbrook. Every single nail shop around here sucks. I never have issues when I'm in Chicago.

I have 3 daughters ranging in age from 16 to 22 and all of them also have their nails done by him. They get full sets and nail artistic designs while I typically have a full set with regular fill-ins and get the cat eye look (in the past I used to always get ombré, then went with chrome, but cat eye has become my new favorite)! Definitely make an appt with Alex, you won't be disappointed!!

DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SALON! THIS IS YOUR WARNING. DO. NOT. GO…read more I had an appalling experience at this salon that not only demonstrated a complete disregard for basic professionalism, but also raised serious questions about licensing and training. I came in for a Gel-X set and a pedicure--services I've had many times at reputable salons without issue. What I received here was not only sloppy but flat out dangerous. The nail tech, Cindy, cured glue directly onto the skin of my fingers. This isn't a minor mistake--it's an egregious violation of industry health and safety standards. Curing nail adhesive on the skin can lead to severe allergic reactions, including medical grade adhesives like those used in titanium implants. This dangerous exposure can create allergies, contact dermatitis, and obviously pain. This is not just poor workmanship--it's a liability. When I calmly addressed the issue, the man at the front desk confronted the nail tech in front of me and other clients, demanding an explanation. Cindy deflected all responsibility and claimed it was my fault for choosing Gel-X, stating my nails were "too small." If that were genuinely a concern, she should've refused the service up front. That's what a professional does. Instead, she went ahead, botched the job, and placed the blame on me. The nails were misshapen, uneven, and painfully thick--chunky to the point of being unusable. I could not use my fingers. She also cut me multiple times. I normally do my own nails, and frankly, I could have and should've have done better with a basic kit at home. They refused to soak off the set, refused to fix the issue, and refused to issue a full refund. I was told to "go somewhere else" for a correction and only received a partial refund ($40). For context, I spent $120 at this salon for these basic nails and a pedicure. The pedicure chipped the same day and also looked terrible. All of this happened the day before prom. I then had to go to another salon, pay $65 out of pocket to have the nails safely soaked off and redone correctly, and explain the situation to professionals who were frankly shocked by the condition of the set I arrived with. The nail techs at the other salon were impressed with the pricing and job done to my nails. They also expressed just how terrible these nails were. To make matters worse, I was hung up on multiple times when I tried to call back and escalate the issue. No apology, no accountability--just dismissal and silence. This place operates with zero concern for customer safety, zero accountability, and questionable training at best. If Cindy's work reflects the salon's standards, it's hard to believe she's licensed at all. Avoid this salon at all costs. There are too many qualified, responsible nail techs out there to risk this kind of experience. DO NOT GO.

They specialize in Russian manicures which I'd never tried before so I was really excited to go. My nail tech was Marina and she was amazing. She's so friendly and really meticulous. She took her time on every single nail to make sure it looked perfect and even redid parts if she or I wasn't completely happy with it. The cuticle cleanup and shaping were super detailed and I didn't realize how much precision goes into it until I saw her work. I got extensions with a French tip and the whole process took a little over two hours. The salon is quiet, clean, and relaxing. The service menu is simple but everything is high quality products and equipment. You can tell they really know what they're doing and have trained for a long time. Marina was great and I'll be coming back soon to get another set. I have a feeling these nails are going to last me a long time.

I have very soft nails and no other place could do a good job to keep my nails looking good for 2-3 weeks. Tina and Cindy had listened and came up with the product that works great! I have met a woman who moved to Evanston, but came back in a few months, as she also thinks you can't beat that place. I found this place always busy, during the week or weekend hours, the place is always crowded. Tina is the most friendly person who runs this place and she always will accommodate and get a spot for you, even when you didn't call ahead. It is clean, feels like a family place. Tina seem to know all the families, mothers, daughter, and fathers. One thing that surprises me most, is the number of husbands who would do pedicure along with their wives. I would definitely recommend this place for good quality and excellent service.

When I asked what was going on I was told the other lady did not know how to do a dip manicure. Then why schedule our appointments. Plus my nails were longer than my daughter's before she butchered mine. DO NOT GO HERE! There are plenty of places nearby they are nicer and do a better job. Plus no hidden fees.
