So, lol I came here after a workout session to undo all of my hard work lol and it was indeed WORTH it! Her sweet treats are OH so goodT! I must say that I heard through the grapevine that everything was delicious (I have a friend that basically tried it all lol) but I only had the pleasure of enjoying the banana pudding AND strawberry cupcake all in one sitting and they both were perfection. So, I can only deduce the everything else would be equally as good, if not better. I also took the opportunity to learn a little about the owner and she is definitely walking in her passion, purposefully, one personalized cake and unique cake recipe at a time. I look forward to trying their tres leches the next time I am in the area.

MIND YOUR BUSINESS on how many it takes to earn a free one...... Anyhoo..... I love the desserts here and the owner is soooo nice! She does tres leches, cupcakes in a cup, cookies and cupcakes. And of course custom cakes. The French toast cupcake could convince me to disown my son... ok, maybe that's a bridge too far. I'll definitely consider locking him out of the house for a night- how bout that? The snickers cake in a cup is phenomenal, I also really love the lemon cupcake, the pistachio, the ore, the....um you get point! My son's birthday isn't until September, mine is in December- I'm SCHEMING for a good enough excuse to order a whole cake... I won't just get one for me cause THAT'S just greedy. I contacted Kangan's Custom Cakes simply to inquire about having a birthday cake made. During our conversation, I was directly asked, "Are you Muslim?" I was stunned. My religion--or whether I practice any religion at all--had absolutely nothing to do with ordering a birthday cake. Being questioned about my religion during a business interaction made me feel singled out, judged, and extremely uncomfortable. What concerns me further is that the business has since publicly responded to my review and acknowledged that the question was asked, while attempting to explain the context in which it was asked. For me, the context does not change how inappropriate and unsettling that question felt. I have screenshots of the original conversation, including the "Are you Muslim?" message, sent from the business phone number listed on record. I am sharing only what I can document. I ultimately chose not to do business with them. I'm sharing my experience because neighbors deserve to know how a prospective customer was spoken to and can make their own decision about where they choose to spend their money.

Just from the smell walking in I could tell I was gonna love this place. They have upbeat music playing and the lady was so nice. She answered questions and made suggestions. The price was not bad either. I got 4 cookies and 1 cupcake and my total was $31. These aren't little cookies either. They are big and you get them warm! She didn't have to warm them up she just handed them to us warm! They were the perfect amount of crunchy on the edge and gooey on the inside. All of them were amazing! The cupcake was for my mom and she said it was amazing too. I live on the other side of town but will be making a trip back whenever I need a fix!

I decided to go for small just to try it out first vs get a slice and pay $15 which in the end it didn't matter cus it came out to $12 for 2 items I got. The cupcake I got was cookies and cream but it just taste like reg store bought cake. You know the type that it's "chocolate" but there's not much choc flavor to it. The cream cheese frosting was like eating melted grease and added nothing to the rest of the cupcake. I ended up taking a bite and dumping the rest. I got one of their brownies but gave that to my husband so he could eat it at work. So can't really talk on that.

It's a family owned business and one that has been incredibly popular since they opened. I first learned about them as a result of Too Good To Go (#1) and have been a dedicated customer ever since. What their pastry shoppe lacks in space and chairs, they make up for by their extensive selection. There is sometimes a line that wraps around the interior, which can get awkward quicky. They specialize in a number of pastries such as baklava, pistachio desserts, Dubai chocolate, fruit-shaped desserts, celebration cakes, along with gelato and ice cream. Some of the other items include cake slices, macarons, cookies, cannoli, and more. While most of the stuff skews Lebanese, they have other regional items such as the Iraqi znood and Dubai chocolate covered treats. I'm quite fond of their fudge, znoods, and baklava variety. It's easy to get overwhelmed in there by just simply making a choice. The prices are affordable, but can add up quick. Customer service is good overall, it's important that they deal with crowds nightly so be prepared to choose something or ask for recommendations. __________ (#1) Only one of the best discounted services out there. Trust.

I was told these owners bought that place and are remodeling, I won't mention the name , but I spoke to a man last weekend who told me it was indeed true, but they were still remodeling. He said give it another month or so. I said OK, we will try you all out. OMG!! The date Maamoul was out of this world!! The other desserts were very good! I don't EVEN CARE if that other place reopens because the Maamoul ALONE was worth switching loyalty! I will include pictures of everything my husband bought that day. The only caveat is my husband said it was a beautiful cafe( you're going to pay for that) and everything came up to about $27 he said, a little pricey, but that Maamoul literally brought tears to my eyes!
