I haven't redeemed any rewards in several months because I've been overseas, so I wasn't sure whether I simply scanned the code or if there was another step involved. Instead of explaining the process, he repeatedly pointed at the screen and said, it's right here. When I asked for clarification, he continued to respond the same way without actually explaining what I needed to do. His tone and mannerisms made me feel as though I was being treated like an inconvenience for asking a simple question. Not every customer is familiar with the app, and some may be using rewards for the first time. A little patience and clearer communication would have gone a long way. The experience was made more frustrating by the long wait beforehand. There were only two cashiers working and the customer ahead of me spent several minutes at the register asking questions. Another cashier was also helping a customer who needed additional assistance. While I understand that questions happen and employees do their best, waiting a considerable amount of time only to receive dismissive customer service was disappointing. Good customer service isn't just about completing a transaction--it's about helping customers understand the process and making them feel welcome. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit.

The Dubai chocolate ice cream bar is $7.99 but worth every penny. It is absolutely delicious. From the creamy pistachio almond ice cream to the crispy kunafa coated in pistachio cream it was a decadent treat. Might even be better than the Dubai chocolate bar. It's a limited time item. I wish they'd have it on the permanent menu...well maybe not or I might find myself there too often. If you like the Dubai chocolate bar, head over to Baskin and try the ice cream bar. Because we spent over $10, we also got a free pint of the brown sugar chocolate chip cookie with fudge ice cream (which was a nice surprise!). To be honest, the cookies were just okay. In the display case, one cookie even looked like it had a whole chunk bitten out of it, which was a bit off-putting. Not my personal favorite, but definitely a fun seasonal twist. The best part of the visit was the woman working the counter.
