EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL SALON WITH UNTRAINED STAFF It is incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable for a business to hold its clients to a rigid standard while failing to offer even a baseline level of professional courtesy in return. Turning a child away at the door due to being ill-equipped and ill-prepared is something no parent should have to navigate. Our stylist Dani K. canceled on us twice in a row then called us with an attitude and she's a manager. Our next stylist, Sarah M. honestly expressed that she didn't even know how to do our daughter's hair after Audrey at the front desk assured us that we would not be canceled or rescheduled on again. Well guess what? We were rescheduled on again, for a third time. If I were to cancel my appointment without a 24-hour notice, this salon would eagerly enforce their strict cancellation policy and charge me without a second thought. Yet, they apparently feel completely justified in waiting until the exact moment my daughter and I walk through their doors to cancel on us. Their excuse for the third reschedule? They suddenly realized they were ill-prepared to do my daughter's hair. A professional establishment knows the capabilities of its stylists and communicates appropriately during the booking process. Waiting until we arrive to turn a child away is not only cowardly and blatantly unprofessional, but it also feels incredibly targeted. Do not spend your money at a business that demands your respect but refuses to treat you or your family with basic human dignity. Our daughter missed three days of summer camp because of this place. I made an appointment and since I'd never been, they assigned Alexis. My appointment was suppose to be three hours which does a number on the neck but this one lasted four. My review of Cyndis Salon & Spa has been deleted. I don't know why, because my review wasn't as bad as some of the other bad reviews! Too bad, but now I give the salon one star for deleting my review. My service has always been great with my stylist, until one time, now I'm black listed! Fortunately, I found a salon that fits my needs completely! There are some stylists who are good and care. It's just the owner who doesn't want to hear your complaint. It could have improved if only the owner would have taken my phone calls or texted me. She only texted me when I was no longer welcomed at the salon. I have never had this happen to me in my entire life going to different stylist as I've moved. Very sad! read more

Disappointed, you have not responded to my issue to discuss a resolution. My hair is breaking and extremely dry from negligence of your stylist. Also, not only back and butt is hurting as mentioned post the appointment in the original email. Today, additional pain in my neck and head from all the pulling on my scalp. My daughter has been to Cyndis salon for a while now, and in February last year I took her to get a cut she had long hair that was past her shoulders and she wanted a wolf cut. I dropped her off, and she gave the stylist the picture of what she wanted. The stylist chopped her hair off. I came to get her and she was in tears. I talked to the front desk person and a manager had come out To speak with me. They called Cyndi right away, and she had stated that when my daughters hair grows back she could come back for a free cut. Well, it took a very long time for it to grow back to the place it was before. We decided it was time to try with another stylist and now they won't give her the haircut for free. Got a terrible haircut from a new person. I spoke with the owner, she wanted to get me in asap with a stylist to fix the cut, the stylist, Jessica, did a very good job. However, I'd also gotten a $100 partial highlight from the other new stylist that is also quite bad, large areas of color that look like blobs. The stylist that fixed my haircut agreed it needed to be fixed also, said she'd talk to the owner & get back with me...haven't heard a word. read more

Double check the prices!!! I went online to schedule and was given one price. Something went wrong and I couldn't book so I called and booked. My daughter got a TRIM. Nothing fancy, no face framing etc., A TRIM!!!!! Got to the counter and was charged $70. When I asked why, because the price online was $45-50 depending on stylist, she changed it to $65. That is a RIDICULOUS price for a girls trim that, once my daughters curly hair was dried, was UNEVEN. Will NEVER go back. Responding to owners feedback below: It's Interesting that your focus was on how much I could afford rather than the value and results of your services. But you're right. I usually do go to Great Clips. I'm a single Hispanic mother who works hard for every penny of that income you're disparaging for my budget. I wanted to treat my daughter to a nice experience, knowing I'd have to pay a little more for her curly hair ( a heritage she is proud of but every ethnic hair baddie can relate to the upkeep cost) and did my research online to ensure I could afford it. If the prices can range $20+ between salon artists, that should be disclaimed over the phone since they are vastly different from what the average customer could expect from the prices listed online. I had no idea that was the only appt available. If I was given an option or told that there would be a price difference, I'd have been more than happy to wait for someone "In my price range as you stated. It's predatory practices like this that keep people like me struggling, willing to spend a little more than usual for a nice experience to manage curls ( that we can't help we have) and getting/feeling deceived and taken advantage of. Then when we want our voices heard, we are responded to based on the money in our pocket rather than the services and experience as a customer. This was my first time in the salon, it is very cute and lively. I got a partial highlight and cut by Kerrie. She was absolutely amazing! I already had previous color on my hair and she suggested a "teddy bear highlight" look, which was exactly what I was going for! She made me feel welcomed and matched my inspiration picture. She took very good care of me and my hair! I 10/10 recommend Kerrie, and I will be returning to see her again!! read more

Felicia has been doing my hair for a year. The last visit she blew it out of the water! I got Balayage highlights and a great cut. She made my hair look just like the photo I showed her. I drive from the Deerfield/Rogers Ranch area out to Schertz because the cuts are always good and the prices better than upscale salons in town. Usually I get single color, but I went for highlights and she did an amazing job. The salon itself is a quirky little house that reminds me of Truvy's salon in Steel Magnolias. I'm an instant fan. I've been looking for a good hair salon that is close to Cibolo. I found it! Cyndi's Salon & Spa is situated in a little charming house that is off of Borgfeld and 3009. If you are coming from the 78 and you hit Borgfeld, you've gone too far. It's easy to miss because it does not sit directly off of the 3009. It's there though. Believe! You must turn around and go back. Don't give up because it will be worth the effort. I went here for the first time to get a nice thorough trim and my long layers redone. Brooke was my stylist and she knows her stuff. She's super pleasant and had a lot of great advice. She even gave me tips from her own personal hair styling regimen on fighting the frizz. Can it be, I ask? Yes, please. I'll take it. I really loved that she asked me how I wanted my hair styled afterwards. I mean she really wanted to know! My usual routine when I visit a hair salon, is the stylist styles my hair as I sit quietly slightly dissatisfied. Then I go home, even though I have errands to run, and restyle my hair. I know I should say something, but I never do. My fault, yes. But I didn't have to worry about it here. Brooke had it covered. She did a very thorough trim and cut off just enough to bring life back into my hair. Then she styled it using all the recommended products she had mentioned earlier. Cowlicks, be gone! When she was done, I just gaped in surprise because it looked so very wonderful. My t-shirt and jeggings made me feel slightly under-dressed because my hair was all of a sudden "on fleek."
