Since my daughter has started coming here I've noticed her confidence level go up, she is so happy getting out all that energy from her system and applying it to flexibility and strength training in tumbling, jazz, ballet, and tap dance. She is always in the hands of professionals and trainers that fill their class with good music, moves that will warm her up for a successful performance at the end of the year. This has been a very poor experience for us. We decided to try a dance class for my son for the…read morefirst time and used groupon to find as a way to pay for a trial run. After purchasing, I noticed there was no working website and then tried the phone listed but it was a wrong number. I had to go to lengths to contact Pat with Facebook. She kept saying they were in "transition". We went ahead and decided to try it. Although she kept saying more kids were coming, the class was my son and one other little girl and two older girls that she used as the teachers. The older girls are very sweet but they're kids themselves and would giggle a lot or have their conversations. Pat would use these girls to show all examples and to tell the kids what to do. She was fairly hands off and kept telling the older girls to make the corrections and such. Pat has yet to be on time for a single class and her tardiness is getting worse. She was 25 minutes late to the class that I just decided was the last straw for us. She won't start class on time but she'll definitely end class on time! Throughout this process, I've tried calling and texting for various reasons and she will not return messages. She has very poor communication skills and lacks the proper discipline that you would expect from most dancers and operators of any business. Save your time and money, folks!

The studio itself is elegant, comfortable and elite. The dancers have a huge cozy lounge with homework areas, changing rooms and lighted hair/makeup stations. They also have a full kitchen with a large table, fridge and microwave for eating dinner on long dance nights. It's like family when visiting. Our granddaughter is always encouraged to try every single genre of dance to determine her level. This place is top notch, SUPER classy and inviting all at the same time. This is her 4th year dancing so my wife and I (grandma and Grandpa) we've been to a few of her recitals in town and has performed in a most professional manner. Collective offers more genres than any studio we've ever been to... We also love that there is a strong ballet focus for those who are seeking that in a studio. We've never encountered such professionalism, strong focus on technique while also giving opportunities for all genres of dance! Our granddaughter would probably call it "dance heaven". The instructors are also very encouraging and come from very professional backgrounds - of which shows. They also have four state-of-the-art dance studios (with viewing for parents and grandparents) and even a karate school with two dojo's (Retro Sport Karate) that our Grandson also is a member of and has grown to be a Yellow Belt with notches. We are familiar with Collective's dance achievements after years of competitions, watching their amazing technique, beautiful choreographed dances, and the fact that they always came out on top. It's a drive for us but well worth it! :o) They've welcomed us like family members and our granddaughter and grandson are always looking forward to learn new techniques.
