They RUINED all 3 blazers I dropped of to be cleaned and pressed, and ruined 1 out of 2 pair of pants. When I went to pick up I asked why the folds of my jacket weren't pressed and they said they don't usually do that because the lining comes uneven....... That was the only reason I brought them in but I didn't want them to ruin them so I left. When I got home they were all ironed crooked, one is completely stretched out and none of them fit to my body anymore as well as the bottom of one is now unstitched. They took out all of my shoulder pads and restitched them in terribly!!!!! One stitch broke the first day and now has to be stuffed in the correct position to wear. They did ok on my 2 pair of pants expect one came back unseemed at the zipper. The work is so bad and genuinely unfixable I will be throwing my new blazers out and trying to restitch the pants. Please save yourself this was $45 to ruin my clothes that cost over $100 for each item read more

Which out for Cypress Cleaners next to Raley's in Oakley. My wife brought a comfoter in to be cleaned. We do it every couple of months. They charged her $55.00!!!! Thatt's note the worst part... I'm willing to bet they did little to nothing to clean the comforter. There is not sughs of any soap or detergent being used, and no signs it was deoddorized in any way! It feels and smells the same as when we brought it in. I brought it back in and all they would say (and this is a quote, not a racial characterizationn) "We clean! We clean!" When the wife was about to offer to clean it again, the husband yelled at her to be quiet. Buyer beware of this place, you've been warned! FOLLOW UP.... just picked the comforter from the laundromat next to Rite-Aid, and it's perfect. Obvious signs that was washed and dried. Smells fresh, no lingering orders. read more

They can't sew simple jobs. When it's an outside they say that can't do it. Instead of just giving the cost and letting me make the decision to whether it's too much or not. I've been a customer at Cypress cleaners for 10 years. I went in last week to drop off some clothing, and the owner said that I have to pay in advance because they have a new policy. I didn't think anything of it and paid for my clothes to be cleaned. I just went to pick them up in a customer in front of me was paying to pick her clothing up. The customer was an Asian customer and the owners are Asian. I asked the husband of the owner how come I was charged in advance and he was attempting to think quick on his feet and come up with the reason why the customer ahead of me who clearly wasn't family was allowed to pay when she picked her items up. he clearly was embarrassed and caught off guard because a white customer came in behind me, and he wanted to make sure he didn't lose her business the way he was about to lose my business. His excuse was ridiculous and made absolutely no sense. I informed him that he was discriminating against me, because I was black. There would be no other reason after 10 years to charge me in advance if that was not something they were doing to a particular group of people and not all of the customers. I told him I would never do business here and I would encourage everyone else who is against discrimination not to patronize this business. Black people have always supported either willingly or because we had to Asian on businesses and in return we have always been treated like criminals. I will never use this dry cleaner again. If anyone out there knows of a good dry cleaner in the Oakland area please respond back and let me know where they're at. read more

When choosing dry cleaners in our area the choices are limited, so don't waste your time going to the Cypress Dry Cleaners. My wife and I have been customers of this dry cleaners since we moved to Oakley mostly because of the convenient location. Recently we took my wife's dress to them and they managed to shrink it somehow. When we noticed a few days after picking it up we returned to the owner to discuss. Not only did he say he didn't do anything wrong, but even after getting the garment measurements offline and showing him that he had shrunk the dress; he was still unwilling to reimburse us for the damaged dress. His own daughter was there and agreed with us that they had shrunk the dress, but still he was unwilling to do anything about the damage. DO NOT GO TO THIS DRY CLEANER!!! They will damage your items and not care. They have POOR Customer Service and they don't care about keeping their customers. We love to support small businesses but this is one that should go out of business! Help us boycott Cypress Dry Cleaners! read more

I am pissed my husband had several of his jeans taken in at Cypress Cleaners which were all surged. We never had a problem until today! He recieved his jeans back they did not surge the material!! They left all the material inside the jeans after taking them in. The lady says NO I am not doing it if you do not like my work leave!! All of a sudden they didn't understand him (typical)...Two asian men come from the back and kick my husband out. Mind you he is a sweet calm guy he wasn't angry he just wanted his jeans fixed. No refund and no apology no nothing and tossed his jeans at him!!! Do not go there we have decided to try Cathy in Brentwood she strictly does alterations and speaks English! Worst experience. I got my pants "fixed" by them! Their idea of fixing is putting a piece of cloth over the hole with hot glue & not using thread over the patch. All in all they don't correct their work when you point it out to them or refund you the money when you ask for it! read more

I recently took my Golden state warriors sweat shirt here to get the zipper fixed, which she did an amazing job on, but was overly charged. I sort of grunted about it and was offered a free dry cleaning. I was very appreciated. On the day i picked it up I went home and put on my newly fixed sweater and noticed it had more stains then when I dropped it off with and had been stretched out. Not to mention it had a horrible smell to it. I hate to jump t conclusions but im sure some one was wearing my sweater. I wont be going here again. read more
