It was easy to make an appointment by phone. The lady answered immediately and provided me an appointment for the following day. I was the only customer throughout my visit. The two ladies were very eager to please, uncomfortably so. They sought frequent validation. I received a shampoo and trim for a reasonable price. WOW! I feel so fortunate to have found this salon. Erin was simply lovely - kind, attentive, and very skilled. My layered hair was so straggly and long with damaged, dead ends. It looked really bad, but I'm always so busy with work, I've been putting it off. I woke up today and thought, I'm just going SOMEWHERE to fix this mess. I found Cypress Salon on Yelp (with great reviews) and gave them a call. Erin answered and surprised me that she had an opening the same day! I was so happy because if I had to go to Supercuts or Fantastic Sam's, I would have (but not happily). She washed, cut, and styled my hair, and the price was so reasonable. Honestly, she should charge more. What a great experience. My hair is incredibly soft and no longer feels/looks nasty. I had a wedding to attend on Nov 15th and realized last minute that my hair was just too unwilling to cooperate given that it was raining that day. I needed a wash, cut and style which Erin did with such patience and care. I've been contemplating getting bangs but a previous stylist told me pretty much that bangs were just not for me. I've been to Cypress Hair Salon twice now and both experiences were great! It's very difficult for me to find a stylist I trust so I was very happy when I met Erin because she actually listened to what I wanted and gave me good suggestions for my hair type. She also is really nice and easy to talk to, that's a huge plus for me. The last time I saw Erin (3 weeks ago), I asked for curtain bangs (which was completely new to me but I wanted to try them out) with a cut/layers and to thin out my hair. She did a fantastic job! I went in for an undercut. Surprisingly a lot of barbers don't know how much is too much off the top. I haven't felt secure with a barber in a long time lol. 10 years and only visited the barber a handful of times, usually opting to shave it all myself. After growing my hair out a year I wanted to get it styled and the barber did more than enough. Really nice venue and very welcoming. I decided to give this hair salon a try because I heard their stylists originally worked at barbershops, and all I can say is that I was immensely happy with the job they did.
