Delicious cocktails! I got the cornbread and the gumbo. The cornbread was out of this world. Truly excellent. It was a sweet cornbread but not too sweet, the side of sun-dried tomato butter elevated it to something more special than regular cornbread. The gumbo was, frankly, not good at all. It was watery and lacked any discernible flavor, along with the rice being undercooked and still a bit crunchy. This was very disappointing as all the other dishes ordered by my friends were tasty. We went during the holiday season with a Tomahawk Ribeye special. The steak was high quality and a great value for what you get. The Brussels sprouts were probably the best I've ever had in my life! The service was excellent, and the restaurant had a great vibe. We moved to Little Rock not long ago, and this was definitely one of the best experiences we've had dining out so far. When you pull up the location is a little deceiving. I am glad it was day time. The ambiance was perfect. We ordered the boudin balls, fried green tomatoes, and the frog legs for appetizers. The presentation was outstanding, and everyone at the table enjoyed. I personally ate the boudin balls. They were tasty with a low hint of spice. The corn relish was exquisite. Entrees Redfish Ponchatrain was very good. The ponchatrain was more of a relish versus a sauce. It was tasty a perfectly seasoned. My wife ordered the salmon and she thought it was seasoned well. She does not do spicy so when they mentioned Cajun she was concerned. Samaria our was told her it was not spicy and it was not. My sister had the Shrimp Pork Belly and grits and she loved it Dessert My brother ordered the passion fruit creme Brûlée and the presentation was excellent with a taste to match. I ordered the apple cranberry cobbler. It was hot and perfectly seasoned. Samaria our server was super accommodating. She answered all of our questions, made suggestions, and split our checks as requested. For special occasions this is your place. I only say that because yes it is a bit pricey but it's 100% worth it. My favorite upscale restaurant by far, cozy, elegant, nice view by the lake when weather allows it, the menu is not huge but everything I have tried so far is delicious, and there is always something for every mood/craving. But what you can't miss from this place are the desserts... oh ..my ...goodness... I was told they have a dedicated chef for desserts. Cocktails are also awesome. We had a great experience! Brady was our bartender and he was awesome! He greeted us upon arrival, he was very knowledgeable about the drinks as well as the menu. Our food was delicious and it was piping hot just like we love it!! The catfish was very well seasoned and so were the hush puppies and the brussel sprouts were delicious as well. We had a great time in a very nice restaurant and the atmosphere was nice. The other bartender we met was Kevis and he was very personable as well. My only complaint is the restroom. The trashcan was overflowed to the point where paper towels were on the floor. I spoke with the receptionist and she assured me it would be taken care of (she had no sense of urgency and she was still sitting in the same spot when we left). Food and drink review! Frog legs: ALWAYS fresh and cooked to order (smoke is coming off of it when it is served to you). They are very tender and the sauces go very well with them! Short rib special: This was a special for the night. The short ribs were super tender and the whole plate was just delicious! Lemon berry mule: Great if you like sweet drinks! The bartender said it was the sweetest mule they had! Bartenders: Ryan is probably one of the most memorable bartenders I have come across. He has great hospitality and just a good spirit over all. His recommendations are spot on no matter what you have a taste for! Honestly, the recommendations could go for any of the bartenders but it goes to show that this establishment is run very well and the staff KNOW what they are talking about. Overall: 10/10 recommend! Cypress social used to be good when it first opened, but it seems to have fallen short recently. The cocktails are good but the food really is average and it's very frustrating to have to wait 15-20 minutes after your reservation time to be seated in a small lobby area. The views are nice but I just won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Our sweet waitress was so accommodating with providing options for food to dip into our dip. She recommended the homemade everything crackers and they were delicious. For entrees we had the redfish and catfish. Both knocked it out of the park. Love the Cajun influence! Their drinks are spectacular as well. The food was good, but we reserved early so we could have a nice relaxing table on the patio with an amazing view. This is our view. There is an amazing view behind the loudest table at the restaurant. No offense to that table they deserved to have the dinner they wanted. It just wasnt what I wanted. I requested to move to an open table with a view and was told no that they were all reserved. It stayed open through our entire meal. And there isnt an option to choose your table when you make a reservation so Im unsure how this happens. read more

The night was busy. Ambiance is low light, slightly intimate but casual. Clean and comfortable. There's seating for all occasions. The food was AMAZEBALLS. I had the Chipotle Oysters and Butcher Steak paired with the Stiff Lip adult beverage. My sister had the Fried Green Tomatoes (topped with Shrimp) chefs kiss & The Salmon dish. Creative and Quality!!! What a great find! When you're on a road trip and relying on reviews, it's good fortune to find a nice place for a great meal at the end of the day. Not only was the food delicious, Cypress Social is in a lovely wooded setting by a pond, with a beautifully lit fountain spray that can be seen from inside, and of course from the patio seating. Note on the Location::: This restaurant is off the main road, but there's excellent signage that leads diners down the road to another sign, and then past that sign, nestled in the trees, you'll find this gem. Exceptional Service: Our server, Taylor, was friendly and attentive, and she made good recommendations when we asked for input. From the gentleman who greeted us at the door, to the manager, we didn't catch her name, who came by to check on our table, it was clear high quality service is a priority at this establishment. If you like Mezcal, the Honey Pot cocktail was perfection, and my husband said the same of his martini. My husband ordered the BLACKENED REDFISH PONTCHARTRAIN, which was also perfection. We also had the HOMEMADE CYPRESS CORNBREAD with sundried tomato butter--Oh My, what a fantastic combination! I had the SMOKED CHICKEN with roasted garlic and gouda mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The potatoes and asparagus were cooked perfectly and delicious! The chicken was good, but could have been better if the skin had been crispy and the white meat not so dry, and even chewy in parts, but the dark meat was moist, tender, and tasty, as was the barbecue sauce; it may have just not been a good night for that dish, but I shared my thoughts to pass on to the chef, so hopefully that will help, because it had so many things going for it. What about the desserts? I'll offer an even bigger, 'OH, MY' here. We wanted to order every dessert on the menu, but restrained ourselves and chose the Coffee-Toffee Chocolate Tres Leche (one of Taylor's recommendations--Thank you, Taylor!), and the Carrot Cake, that was not at all traditional, but so good! I love that you kind of have to know where this place is. It's not immediately noticeable from the main road. It is tucked away in the back with a picturesque water feature to let you know you've arrived. This sets the stage for a rather romantic setting. Cypress Social is a great use of both indoor and outdoor space. I very much enjoyed celebrating my 1st year wedding anniversary here and would love to throw a private event here one day. This was mostly because of the amazing wait staff! Shoutout to the natural haired beauty who waited on us. She was very sweet. While the ambiance, service, location and drinks are ALL top notch, the dinner entree menu left much to be desired. The selections felt a bit unfocused. I believe it's owned by the same people as Petit & Keet but I liked Petit & Keet's menu MUCH better. So, I would love to see the Brussel sprouts from Petit & Keet on the menu here or some more consistency across the menus period. My favorite part of the meal ended up being the dessert the staff treated us to. We had a very delectable apple cheesecake. It was creamy with the perfect balance of tart and sweet.
