We met up with some friends at Collect to watch part of a World Cup game last month. The bar opened up early for the game and had food from Bunny Bunny available for ordering brunch, but we had just eaten. We were able to squeeze in at a table with our friends, but it was pretty crowded! The seating was a little weird, lots of very low tables and stools, but it worked. It's located on the second floor so I'm not sure if it's accessible. The bar is pretty cool and there's an outdoor area upstairs that I've heard is fun in the summer. They have 9 rotating drafts as well as cans, wine, and cider. We just got some N/A options - a hop water and Topo Chico. They have a shot and beer combo that's pretty cheap. Seems like a fun spot that I'd visit again. We found street parking right out front that was free since it was Sunday.

It was ok. Maybe their new location will be better. The drinks my partner and I got were pricey and small. Then we switched to the beer and shot for $6.

I stumbled across this place by accident and I'm so happy I did -I cannot wait to bring friends and family here! The interior is minimalist and cozy and the staff was friendly The drinks were delicious-my favorite was a smoothie fruit sour, which was super unique. There is a rooftop area upstairs with great views and I can see myself hanging out for hours up there as we head into the warmer months. Don't forget to order food downstairs from Bunny Bunny, you will not regret it! The food is phenomenal and has so many unique flavors. Check out my Instagram for more @hangry_detroiter

Beer on a rooftop? Don't ask me twice! Collect is a great place to grab a beer or two & catch up with friends. We had the Lolo from Mothfire Brewing (hazy IPA) & the Hopeful Monster fruit sour. Bartender is awesome. I appreciate the ability to have a a little taste before I go for an entire glass. Bunny Bunny is next door. Grab takeout & eat on the patio.

Update: collect is OPEN (on 1/21/21) and have a great rooftop open all winter. Kyle and Lea have done a great job making their rooftop covid friendly with individual "dugouts" with heaters. It is very comfortable and cozy to enjoy a nice beer even on a cold evening! The beer selection is always stellar and it is nice being able to order Bunny Bunny (the restaurant below) and bring it to the rooftop. I love coming here- the owners make everyone feel like family!

I'm loving this brand of seltzer.

This place has actually reopened. Cool rooftop views & brews! They have a nice selection of beers on tap, a lot of sours, and a fridge full of craft beers and seltzers. Collect has partnered with the Chinese restaurant next door, Bunny Bunny. Collect doesn't serve food, but can grab a carry out from next door, grab a beer or two, and head upstairs to the rooftop. It's a rather small, quaint space with tables for social distancing. I love the view of Eastern Market from the rooftop. There is also an area to enjoy your brews inside. From the outside, it appears to be closed, it's an interesting entrance, but it's not...just open the door and head upstairs. If you're into rooftop views, come down and check out Collect.

Having so much fun here at this cute beer spot in Detroit. Got a sour beer with a touch of vanilla that is super subtle overall and refreshing on a hot day. Gotta love a day beer on a Saturday and this place is too cute.

Here is the lay of the land: Check in at the little red table in the center of the outdoor courtyard if you want "full service". - which means eating and drinking at a table with wait staff. It is not seat yourself at the outdoor tables, like we originally thought. There is a nice sized bar indoors and seating at the bar is first come first served. We ordered several of the small plate "snacks" and I can tell you that the hummus is not to be missed. It is served with (homemade?) tortilla chips that are absolutely addictive. They have lots of choices for wine, beer, and cocktails. Towards the back entrance of the property, there is a drink truck where you can also order "walkaway" food and drinks. Not entirely sure where you sit with the food/drinks you order, as most of the seating seemed reserved for full service. Additionally, there is a photo booth for pics (long line) and Warda Patisserie is right next door and accessible through a garden walkway.

The inside restaurant area is also beautiful. We wanted to sit inside at the bar, so we waited for some seats to open up. If you want to sit outside, all you have to do is order at the bar and they'll serve your drinks in plastic cups for you to take outside. The rhubarb pie punch was so delicious I had to order it twice! Probably one of my favorite cocktails I've ever had. I also ordered the maurixio cattelan, which tasted like ginger ale. For a snack before dinner, we chose to get the burrata and it was so refreshing. The service was great and our bartender was super friendly! The logo with the little lamb is adorable. I bought one of their wine glasses with their logo on it too for just $10.

To get to the Clubhouse, you enter the Fieldhouse on the right side, and head upstairs. The Clubhouse is beautiful. Even if you're not a fan of soccer, you'll enjoy the atmosphere of the space. Rich wood, smooth leather, plenty of seating, a few TVs to watch various sports, a fun drink menu with reasonable prices and windows on either side of the bar with views of the indoor fields below. It's a brand new bar and they're still working out kinks, so I try to be cognizant of that. The bartenders are still being trained and brought up to speed, so sometimes they don't have the answer to my questions regarding the menu and cocktails, or the drink sizes are inconsistent. I'd be bummed if this continues a few months down the line. I've not ordered any food but the menu looks solid. My friend raved about the chicken wings. I'd love to see some bar food like cheese sticks or mini tacos, though. Sometimes you just want something greasy to absorb the booze. This is a comfortable place with seating for two up to twenty. It's surprisingly kid-friendly as well. Bring a group or just come solo and check it out. Enjoy free parking, a welcoming atmosphere and tons of soccer memorabilia on the walls throughout.
