Really wanted to like this place, my review is based on my experience with Ade possibly short for Adeline, who is the stylist I made my appointment with. I asked to lighten my hair and have balayage/foliyage, something that blends into my roots and won't look crazy when it grows out. I also split my hair in half and pulled it to the front to show her that I like when the hair there is light, I don't like when I can see a lot of darkness. I left the place with the complete opposite of what I was asking for... When she asked me how I felt about my hair after the hairwash I told her it was darker than I expected and I was trying to go to blond. My hair looked gray (light gray on top and dark gray on the bottom). She took me once more to tone my hair and told me it was an easy fix once she brought me back to the seat she barely dried my hair and asked me again what I thought, I told her it was a bit better but just not what I expected. That's when things really went south, she started talking to me in a tone which seemed like she was angry and then went on telling me OK you dont have to pay! Then walked away and came back and asked me if I would pay for the product which I agreed to. Mind you, I never once said I wouldn't pay or anything in that nature, I just simply replied to her question that it wasn't what I was expecting. I came to get my hair lightened and somehow I ended up with darker hair than when I came in, it's honestly a nightmare I have a few weddings to attend and now I can't touch my hair for weeks due to the chemicals. After I told her I'd pay for the product she took off my robe while my hair was still wet and just told me to pay.. I felt like I was getting shoo'ed away for expressing how I felt. After I paid I even tried to tip her and she yelled I DONT WANT IT! This was probably my worst experience at ANY salon. I felt super embarassed to be treated in that manner in front of all the other customers and stylists. She immediately didn't want to pay any attention to me and wouldn't even really look at me. My appointment was scheduled for 11am which she asked if I could come in at 1pm and I agreed, I showed up at 1 and still sat there for close to an hour until I was seen. I also referred a friend of mine to her prior to my appointment and she CANCELED her appointment on her which has absolutely nothing to do with me and my experience. It's EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and as a customer you shouldn't be dismissed as soon as you voice your opinion on how you feel about your hair especially when she was the one who asked. I can confidently say I will not be returning and upset that I'll have to go through a whole process to lighten it again. read more

I was searching for a place that was open on a Sunday near me after I found out my regular stylist was in the hospital. I called, and they gave me an appointment, I went in. I waited for a bit but it was a busy Sunday and I was enjoying just watching all of the beautiful styles that walked out of the salon when they were done. I came in just for a haircut and walked out with a healthy cut and shiny color. Lola did an amazing job. This was my first professional color and it was gorgeous. I received so many positive compliments, my children could not stop telling me how good my hair looked. After 2.5 months I returned for the same but found that Lola was no longer there. Maria, the owner, colored my hair and Brenda cut my hair this time. My Mom also came in with me and had her hair cut by Brenda. Here's hoping our haircuts and my color receive as many compliments this time. read more

I have been going with Laura for about four years now and love her services. Having curly hair makes getting the hair cut you have in mind difficult, but Laura makes your vision come to life. A haircut usually goes for about $25-30 and includes hair washing and styling! Definitely worth giving a shot ! read more

I never take the time to write a review but this one is a must. I came across this hair salon after having looked online for good salons in the Cicero area. I'm so glad I tried it. I was taken good care of by Laura P. She colored, cut and styled my hair just the way I liked it. After 4 years of having colored my hair I never found the right stylist and I was always not content after my appointments + not to mention the burden on my wallet. I get there and Miss Angeles, whom I booked with, was actually doing two other clients hairs. Drove all they way there for them to tell me they couldn't take me. My husband had been getting his hair cut by Lidia for a while and I figured I should give it a try, I'm so glad I did. My stylist Lidia is amazing, dealing with my curly hair is no joke but she gets it and does a great job from cutting it to coloring it. I trust her not only with my hair but also with my daughters hair. I finally convinced my husband to come get a hair cut here since I've been coming here to get my hair and my son's hair cut for many years. We show up at 645pm look at the open sign and see that is open until 8pm so we take a seat and wait for a stylist for my 2 sons and husband. At 7:05pm a stylist approaches us and tells us that they close at 7pm! I inform her that we've been waiting for 20 minutes and none of the stylist could have told us this. I love coming to this hair salon. I have cut my hair here several times and I have loved it. It was only once I wasn't as happy with the haircut. Everyone working here is very friendly and professional. I also started bring my sons to get their hair cut here since I wasn't too happy at the precious place and I loved it. Laura cut their hair and did a great job. Prices are very good as well. They do get very busy at times, especially on Saturdays so making an appointment might be better. My go-to person is Liz and Gabby. . and very inexpensive compared to other places... I live in the west suburbs and usually stop by on the way home from the city.
