I wish I could leave 100 stars. I had a unique situation with leaking seam sealant in the hatch area of my SUV. I brought it in to this shop asking for help. They tried a initial remedy that ultimately did not completely solve the issue. I called back and they fot my vehicle in promptly for a more remedial solution that took several days to complete. So far I havent had any leaking. The amazing part of all this was the cost of this work. I will not reveal this because I dont think it would be fair to others expecting the same. But you can be assured no other shop could come close... I cannot spread the word for enough about the integrity of this shop and especially Jake! You guys knocked it out of the park! read more

Nov. 15th a deer ran in to my toyota Rave 4 this was opening day. I couldn't get it fix untill 6 days ago. Im so happy with there service. They made my front end look brand new . On a windy day in 2015, my rear window on my minivan flew out while I was pumping gas -- I opened the door, enough wind went through the van popping the back window flap out and sent it skidding across the parking lot like it was wind surfing! As a result of losing the window, I had to make an insurance claim and had it repaired at D & A. They replaced the window. ..... Fast forward to 2019......, the window's weather stripping failed. I contacted D & A, and they made an appointment for me the next week because it would take an hour of time to fix, and they fixed it for free -- they really do warranty their work! read more

I very seldom write reviews, but my experience was so bad with this auto body that I felt I wanted to share my opinion. My experience with d and a Auto body was dishonesty, lack of accountability and integrity, and poor at meeting deadline. Customer service I received was extremely condescending, in front end loaded to get the business. When it came to delivery the work was late, not as agreed upon, and rude. Specifically they held my car over 2 weeks longer then agreed upon, without loaner vehicle. This caused significant logistical issues on my end. They were unapologetic, unempathetic, and in fact they were rude about this. Their initial agreed upon deliveries, were not performed and denied. I would never use this company again . read more

I am wildly impressed with D&A. My brand new Range Rover was rear-ended two weeks ago and they were recommended by All State, my insurance company. Not only did they do a perfect job with the repairs, they were also super friendly and kept me informed almost every day with what needed to be done and when I could expect to pick up my car. They were SUPER quick, and Belinda made the whole process 100% stress free. I might be brand new to Michigan, but at least now I have a new body shop if (god forbid) I need anything else fixed! read more

Excellent Service! Great workmanship! I was involved in my first car accident one month before my car was paid off:( Misty at the front is very helpful. My estimator, John, was in contact with me thru the process. There was a 2 week wait time for repair because of all the accidents from the snow in January but they lifted my front bumper and repaired my door so I could drive my car just fine during the two week wait. I also was given a free clean rental car during the repair week. Oh and my car was completely detailed upon pick up! Worth the wait! Service center also WAY cheaper for oil change than the chains. read more

A deer ran into me in my brand new Jeep, had less than 8,000 miles on it. D & A and Progressive made the process incredibly painless and worry free. I didn't have rental insurance so D & A provided me with a free loaner. It was an older car and nothing fancy but it was clean and ran great. There was a problem with some parts coming in wrong and they thought they were going to need to keep it longer than expected but they came through and I'm thankful for that because there is supposed to be some nasty weather rolling in and I'd much rather be in my Jeep than a low to the ground car. Everyone I spoke with was nice, kind and efficient. My car looks brand new again and even though there was no damage to the inside they cleaned that too back to like new condition. I was a little nervous to come here at first. When choosing an auto shop, I like to do a little research and pick a place myself, usually based on customer testifies and location. However, this is the only shop in the Kalamazoo area that my insurance company has a warranty agreement with. I have decent insurance and I trusted that if they're willing to partner up with these guy, they probably do honest work. And they did. They were really friendly and efficient when it came to look at at the damage on my car. They also took a look at some other unrelated maintenance issues it was having. A huge bonus is that they have free car rental service (staying in the area x amount of miles per day). This is great! That way you're not left car-less while it's in the shop. Plus, no one has to drive you to pick up your car. However, I decided not to go with this option. Mostly because I would have to wait to bring my car in another 2 weeks or so before there was a rental available versus the 1 week appointment available without a rental. They did a great job on my car in a fair amount of time. I got lucky "going in- blind" to get my car fixed - this place is a jackpot. read more

The whole drivers side of my car got smashed, mirror broken, gas door broke off and D&A did the most fantastic job repairing my car. They gave me a loaner car, they finished it exactly when they said they would. That car looked bran new. I am very impressed with this company. This place was the best. Someone hit my car and I had to get it fixed so I took it here. The process of going through insurance and getting into a rental car was so smooth, they really know what they're doing. When I got my car back it looked brand new! They even cleaned it inside and out, I was so happy with their service and their professionalism. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone. This review is long overdue. I have been so extremely impressed with the level of service, quality of work, and communication from D&A. We've had the unfortunate experience of an accident, deer, and TURKEY collisions and knew where to go every time. They actually even went up to Grand Rapids and brought my truck back to Portage to work on it for me, since it was not drivable. The work they performed was top notch. I would not go anywhere else. They take pride in what they do and it definitely shows. Their office/shop is very clean, staff is super friendly, they work excellent with the insurance companies - I can not rave enough! They also can offer you a loaner car but we didn't need this service. We know where to turn when we need anything done for our vehicles! read more

Was looking for an auto shop after I got into a pretty bad car accident and wrecked my car. But I absolutely needed a place that could provide a rental car. A friend recommended this place, and I was pleasantly surprised. I received a rental car for an estimated 2-week long repair. During that time, when my rental car started acting up, I contacted D&A and let them know that I was stuck at work with the rental which wouldn't start. They immediately (within 30 mins) sent a tow-truck to my workplace to take the rental and replaced it with another one. I was incredibly impressed by their quick service. Upon completion of my repair, I was very happy with their work and will gladly recommend to others. read more

This place looks nice upon first look. The front office is clean and decorated in old-fashioned metal signs. But they did a TERRIBLE job of painting my truck after an accident. They left drips and bubbles and it looks like they painted over tape on an area that didn't even need painting. Then the staff member argued with my husband on how the insurance worked. You would think that someone who worked with insurance companies regularly would know what they were doing, but the insurance company admitted to us that my husband was correct. The odd thing was that she kept arguing with him, even after he told her to stop. She really wanted to argue! Needless to say, we will not be using this shop in the future, and you can be sure that we will caution others not to use it. read more

From the very beginning we received good customer services. They were thorough and clear. They even went farther then what we were expecting. We were working with insurance to cover a separate issue that had happen a couple years prior and it was a minor fix in our eyes but our insurance wouldn't cover that on top of what the car was being fixed for. We talked to the auto body shop to see how much that part would cost but in the end we decided we couldn't fix it and D&A went ahead and fixed that part of the car too. When we picked our van up, it was clean on the outside as cleaned in the inside as well. D&A Autobody would be a place I would recommend to anyone who needs their car fixed. Let me start with their work. It was excellent. There are no issues with this. My issue is with the estimator. My wife got in an accident with our SUV. We dropped the vehicle off to D&A after hours and wrote on the envelope that we wanted AN ESTIMATE ONLY. I was called back with an estimate the next morning and I asked that they not start the work. I was going to repair the vehicle myself as I am mechanic. I knew that the insurance would need an estimate to write me a check. The vehicle sat with them for a day or two. I received a call from my insurance that a claim had been filed. I immediately called the shop to find out that they has started work on it and it was almost completed. I was told "come one... you didnt think we were starting the work?" . I was treated poorly by Randy Smith numerous times as I argued that they did not have permission to start the work. He basically shrugged his shoulders at this. Incredibly unhappy with them as a business. I will never bring another vehicle to them for even the tiniest of repairs simply because of the way they handled business. Extremely poor experience with Randy Smith here. read more
