Their company was out and did 2 service calls in that time period and never mentioned the UV light. Now a little more than 2 years old and an $1800 repair bill. They…read moredispatched contractor CMG Mechanical Group ("Christopher Lee Jarrell") who told us our A/C required urgent replacement, and (falsely) that Choice Home Warranty had denied our claim so we would have to pay out of pocket. They pressured us--using intimidating and high-pressure tactics--into canceling our home warranty and immediately purchasing a new air conditioning system from them for $8,600. After the installation, I contacted Choice Home Warranty to dispute their denial of our warranty claim, only to learn no replacement claim had ever been filed, let alone denied. CMG Mechanical Group LIED, they had only submitted a claim for a clogged drain, which was serviced and closed as resolved. As an 84-year-old 100% disabled veteran living on a fixed income, I did not need to replace a working air conditioning unit, especially one covered by an active home warranty. After reviewing my records, someone else once told us that our air conditioner needed "urgent replacement"... that was SIX YEARS ago. Don't fall for these scammers like we did.

Up until the hurricane happened, I was satisfied with all of your work. After I got power in my house, I discovered that a mini split was not blowing the cold air where my 83-year-old mother was staying. The room was very muggy and hot. Some type of object ran into the unit and damaged the coil in the outside unit, so all freon licked out from the outside unit. I called your company and I got Dorothy. She set up a technician to come out. A technician came to my house the next day and told me I needed some type of coil and there was no ETA that could be obtained by your company. After a while, your phones started working in your office but there was no Internet yet, I was told by Whitney. So, almost 3 weeks after the hurricane, we still did not have air in that part of the house. I called your company again and Whitney told me it's a discontinued item and she has no idea when it can be found or found at all at this point. Then I asked for a new outside unit to buy, but I never got a definite answer from Whitney on the new unit to install. She was talking very fast and nervously constantly, interpreting my every word, and telling me the phones were ringing off the hook and she is very busy, and I had a hard time understanding what she was talking about. I just asked her to speak a little slower so I could understand her with a little joke (I can not think that fast, LOL ) I think Whitney did not take my remark that well. She hangs up the phone. It left me in the dark. Next day, I called another air conditioning company, and the technician came the same day. Within one hour of work, he welded the pipe that had a leak, it was ugly but it was fixed. I was so upset that the company I used for all my 3 houses' services and repairs, in addition to all the referrals to my friends. The next day, I called your office and Whitney answered the phone. I just asked her why your technician could not weld the pipe 2 weeks ago as the other technician did. She told me that your company does not do repairs, only change parts for safety reasons. I was not rude or upsetting her of any kind, but for some reason, she was not nice at all and told me she could not help me at this point and hung up the phone. ( The reason for my last call was that I was going to ask if you guys could get me a new outside unit). A few days later Dorothy called me to tell me that I should take my business somewhere else. We've used A.S.A.P. To service our AC for several years. They kept our old unit running for a long…read moretime until Hurricane Ian hit. The outside unit ended up underwater. Gabe got the unit running and lasted a couple more months until the fan motor gave out. We purchased a new unit from them and they installed it all within a couple of days after we accepted their proposal. Was installed in less than a day and was cooling our unit. It's been over a year now with no issues until yesterday afternoon the outside unit wasn't working. Called ASAP and Gabe came out to check the system. We live on the second floor of a condominium in which the first floor units were flooded and we have a contractor renovating those units. Gabe found that the outside unit was not receiving a signal from the thermostat and that the wires were disconnected in the unit below. It appeared that while the duct was being replaced in the air return that one of the wires disconnected. Gabe fixed the connections and securely strapped the wiring. Gabe and company have been more than reliable. When they finished with the repair and made sure the unit was working properly I asked him what the damages were and he told me there was no charge!! They did have the permit extended for another year (this was over a month ago, April 6th 2026). They came out and took pictures on April 9th. I figured after more than a month they would have Finally completed my installation (not complete until the paperwork is done). I have emailed and called but no one answers. If you use this company (I do not suggest you do), but if you do hold the last payment until they complete all the work & paperwork. Horrible customer service!
