It has been over a year but all of my experiences here have been good. When our grandsons were younger, I was always amazed by the kindness and patience of the staff. I feel that their hash browns are beyond comparison and if one likes them on the crispy side, they'll accommodate that request. Various pies are always available and all that I've sampled have been excellent -- and of course we order them topped with ice cream.; The observant staff keeps one's mug of terrific coffee full. Every so often in the morning, I need to stop by here & have breakfast... Usually The Mexican omelet, or Denver omelet w/x-tra cheese... Delicious! (Make sure you get the homemade bread for toast)... What a nice diner/family restaurant. Annie, our waitress made us feel right at home and when asked what she recommended was very enthusiastic about several menu options (that's a really good sign). I had the veggie omelet at her recommendation and it didn't disappoint. My son had the skillet and daughter the bowl of chili.. all very happy. So far an easy 5 out of 5 stars. Then there was the pecan pie! I love pecan pie and have had it many, many times but this was hands down the best pecan pie I've ever had. It was a 10 (out of 5) for sure. We go there quite often after golfing for breakfast. Service is very good considering they are so busy especially on a Sunday. It is so homey feeling. Takes you back in time. The food is excellent and large portions. You get a free glass of milk also or a scoop of ice cream with your pie. Prices are very reasonable. We love this place! read more

I grew up on D&G and it is still a favorite of mine 36 years later! We usually go for their breakfast that is served all day but some other family favorites are their soups and chicken salad sandwich. They have a pretty full menu so it's a win for most! Coffee is so good! Gloria is still working her booty off in the kitchen and I don't think she'd have it any other way. We go here once a week! The only downside is that they close at 2:00pm. We'd probably go here more often if they ever extended their hours again. read more

My favorite breakfast restaurant. They only take cash, but everything is made from scratch and fresh from the farm. It is a small older diner, but the food is top notch. The coffee is always fresh and hot; the customers are friendly and if you get their early am you can catch up with the vets and they will fill you in with the town news. Plenty ppl drive 30mins or more just to eat there and I know one regular elderly gentleman who's a usual; whom loves to ride his bike miles to get there; cold or rainy (former professional rider). You will love the food; definitely try it. read more

Would have given this it 6 stars if I could have. Went here on a Saturday at noon busy place, generally places that are busy are busy for a reason, this stands true with D & G Restaurant. They open about 6 am and are open through 2 pm. I ordered the Pancake, it was HUGE, a meal in itself. The pancake was perfectly cooked a little crispy and browned on the outside and fluffy and light in the inside. Pancakes which generally are not flavorful until you put topping on them, this pancake actually has a warn vanilla flavor it is great on its own. I also had the bacon and cheese omelette with fantastic homemade toast. The bacon in the omelette had a wonderful smoked flavor which really added to omelette. My daughter had the chocolate chip pancake and it was great I had a bite and felt like I was 11 again, really tasty lots of chips and nice and nice and lite! The restaurant is very clean and the service was spot on , friendly and attentive. I will be back many times great place for breakfast or lunch. Nice drive about 15 minutes outside Green Bay/DePere but well worth the short drive. read more

Oh D&G... this place is great. My grandparents used to come here all the time before they passed, so D&G has a special place in my heart. Omelettes are HUGE, homemade bread as toast on the side is delicious -- you won't regret a big breakfast like this for not a lot of $$ at D&G! read more

If you're biking south from Green Bay you won't find a better breakfast. We'll, you'd have to go far to beat it at all. My pancake was big as my plate, a half-inch thick and perfectly cooked. Been coming here for breakfast forever - never ordered anything else. The hash browns with onions and cheese are excellent if you're hungover like I usually was. While reviewing the reviews, I can't help but think that if you order a pizza at a small family owned diner in the middle of nowhere, you deserve an Orves riser.
