The restaurant needs a very good cleaning. Don't look in the kitchen, not good. Waitress was kind. Food was ok, couldn't eat after looking around closer. Hope they have a lot of regulars for their business. And I don't know whose Grandmas house looks like that. read more

This really is Our Place meaning this is straight up the locals place as everyone here is a regular like so much so that the few staff members working here knew all the guests on a beyond personal level down to the T! That right there is was kinda cool as it totally felt like we were the outsiders but the staff sure didn't let us feel that way as they were very friendly and super awesome the entire time we were here! So for breakfast I went with the French Toast w/ some sausage and eggs which was totally an awesome choice as it taste just like something I would make at home which really hit the spot for me as who doesn't like that home style goodness! The French Toast was cooked perfectly and super yummy with a drizzle of syrup over it and the eggs and sausage were also yummy and just the way they should be. Overall this is an awesome local spot that some might overlook I'm totally glad we didn't because the conversation with the staff alone was worth coming here along with some yummy breakfast this was just what was good on this given morning! read more

The inside looks like a neglected thrift store, but holy wow is this place good. staff is so kind and treats you like family even though I was there from out of town. I had the crab cake Benedict and some curds. Everything was delicious. You have to try the homemade toast. read more

I've been wanting to check out this place for a while as I bike past it all the time. I had some extra time one morning and went to try it out. As you walk in it feels like you're in someones grandparents house. There's kid coloring pages taped on the walls, and there's a corner that looks like a living room filled with old junk that you would leave boxed up in your basement. In the same corner, there's a bunch of games and toys to keep the kiddos entertained. One thing that really makes its feel like is a home is the wind chimes that makes noise when someone comes our from the kitchen to the diner. I sat up by the diner as there were almost ten other "regulars" sitting there. The server took her time with me as she was paying more attention to her crossword puzzle. I got a breakfast sandwich with hash browns. It's pretty cheap, but you're getting what you pay for. I could tell the cheese was basically a kraft single, and the rest of the food was really greasy. I don't mind greasy most of the time, but this was a little too much as my stomach was hating me for rest of the day. There are other similar spots like Our Place that I would rather go too for a simple breakfast. read more

We came in for breakfast on Saturday and the verdict is in: we loved it! Walking in I felt like I was transported to my grandmas house and I felt right at home. The owner Ayrene was our waiter and she was so sweet and even gave us insight to the history of the place. He had "our platter" and a half order of biscuits and gravy (which is made from scratch and full of actual meat which makes the gravy so much better than others I have tried) and I had the two eggs with hash browns, I asked for them crispy and this is the first place in my life that has delivered them perfectly crispy! Ayrene told me they peel and shred their own potatoes fresh and that's how they can cook them up so crispy. The serving sizes were perfection, and I love how they offer half orders of biscuits and gravy and eggs Benedict!!! The homemade toast is excellent as well. This place is hidden cleverly on broadway and when we went in at 11 am there was no wait. We will certainly be back! read more

Pretty sad experience here. After ordering breakfast for our table of 6 we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and then we waited some more! Place was more than half empty. It appeared that regulars who came in after us were served immediately. That's great for the regulars and they must be very happy about that. Sadly, none of us 6 (or anyone we talk to) will leave so happy because there is absolutely zero chance we will ever become 'regulars '! read more

This place is very underrated. They serve some of the best hash browns that I have ever had. I mean sure it is somewhat run down looking on the inside, but the workers are such wonderful people. Fantastic breakfast at virtually no cost. These guys have been around forever, and one morning at work I was going through a folder of menus. I noticed that this place delivers breakfast, and not only that, it's dirt cheap! I indulged with a few co workers. It's spectacular for delivery, and even good when you eat in. They open early and have good, honest prices for the portions you receive. The coffee is bottomless, not-burnt and damn good. Their hash browns are my favorite, and I've made many early, early expeditions at 5am just to get a good heavy start to my day. That's one flaw, however. They're huge on flavor, but also heavy on the stomach, and probably your arteries. You're surely not going to come here for a healthy breakfast, but the homade toast might make you go for seconds. Too much grease can be a bad thing, just order wisely and eat easy knowing your wallet will still be as heavy as when you entered. read more

I was not a fan of this place on many levels. It is a hole in the wall place, which I generally like. But when we got in the restaurant the waitress insulted one of the people in our party. I was unimpressed with the hamburger that I had. Service was slow despite us being one of two tables dining at thst time. Great and cheap breakfast food. Like seriously cheap. A filling breakfast for 2 people costs barely over $10. I usually just leave a 20 because it's worth that much. Friendly staff and very easy going place. I'm here for work from out of town and was looking for a place to have breakfast wear I could just eat good warm food in peace and this nailed it. They have booths, tables and a U shaped bar that allows for single guests to have a place for themselves.
