He said that he hadn't had time to look at it yet. A few more weeks went by and we called him again. He told us that we had the wrong size winding key and he was trying to find one online. Long story short, he never was able to get another winding key for us. We ended up picking it up from him without having it fixed. Funny thing is that our clock was working before, just not keeping EXACT time (was maybe five minutes off a day). When we got it home, it wouldn't work at all, and hasn't worked since. I would not recommend AAA Clock Repair. They have poor customer service and don't return phone calls. You have to go there in person to get a grumpy response.

He reinstalled the clock works which ran slow though over time, I was able to adjust the pendulum. The clock would stop and need to be restarted. I called him and he told me to try different things. After my third try to repair the clock, I was able to get it working. Shortly after that, we moved and the clock again had to be stopped and restarted. He told me he would make a house call for $30, failed to show up when he said he would, when called, he said the price was $180 for a house call but agreed to come for $30 as originally quoted. Once again he failed to show up. Stay away from this guy. He is dishonest and unreliable.

It always ran too fast and stopped chiming the half hour. Two weeks ago I called Andy at Affordable just to see if maybe there was a honest repair shop out there. After about five minutes talking to Andy I had confidence he could fix it. I took him the clock and one week later he said it was ready. I picked it and up set it up at home. It took a day to get the pendulum adjusted to keep time and I have kept it wound a running for the past week and it is keeping perfect time and chiming the hour and half hour. If you need clock repair Andy at Affordable Clock Repair is the only choice you should consider. Andy is absolutely top shelf not only does he do quality work it is also truly Affordable Clock Repair. I paid 10 times more to the first repair shop and got ripped off.

I have also bought a watch from them. So, I have no complaints about battery changing services, however, today Saturday, it's 11:15 and the shop is not open. I called, no answer. It would be nice if a posted sign or VM letting customers know that they will be closed... I would hate to see them closed down, but reading all of the reviews ( yikes) I would not bring cuckoo clocks, or big ben clocks here. So sad and scary for those customers who have waited for years for their items and no return!!
