Fried chicken, Mac and cheese & greens.
    Elle E.

Issa no. The man that's I assume is the owner is marvelous & extremely sweet! But that Mac and cheese?!?! Honey. No. I thought it was gon be baked, not stove top with no flavor. My fried chicken wasn't bad but I don't see myself ordering it again. The greens were bland.

Three and 1/2 stars. The young lady who answered the phone and took my order was very pleasant (That's a first for me! They're normally not politic Jamaican restaurants...) I ordered a beef patty, an oxtail plate and a pineapple ginger beer The beef patty had way more flaky crust than filling. The filling was good, but with so much crust, I could barely taste it. I peeled off the top layer of crust and dipped the the rest of the patty in the oxtail gravy. Delicious! The oxtails were pretty good. Well seasoned, tender, and just a little bit spicy. There were a lot on little ones in the mix, but they were meaty. They did throw a few bigger ones in there as well. Most of the bigger pieces were mostly bone, but I did get a good meaty piece or two. The plantain on the side was sweet and cooked perfectly. And shout out to them for putting gravy on the rice without me asking! The rice, the cabbage, and oxtail could all have used a little more salt. The coco bread was smaller than I'm used to, but it was giving everything that coco bread was supposed to give. It was great for soaking up those last little bits of oxtail gravy. This is one of the few places that also sells pineapple ginger beer. My favorite! Very happy about that. Parking is tight: Just a few tiny diagonal parking spaces in front of the building. Plan accordingly, especially around lunch time.

Oxtail platter (regular size) with rice and peas and cabbage. $19

The two staff were very nice and hospitable, great service, and the place was clean. The portions were nice, but I'd say commensurate with the price, nothing super notable. Buuuut the food quality itself was disappointing, both for my gf and myself. Oxtail was cooked decently but lacked oomph, same with the collard greens, just sorta dry and lacking flavor. Rice and peas tasted off, cabbage was ok. For a place that does JUST Jamaican, the above food should be much better than it was for us. I like to think it was a bad batch or SOMETHING. How it was today Can't be how it just is. While I wouldn't go back, maybe your experience might be better.

You ever go somewhere and you smile while spending your money? This is the place where that happens. You enjoy spending your money at D&L cause it feels like home. There's cleanliness, love/personality/genuineness and they pay attention to their patrons. Food- We've tried the escovitch snapper, jerk chicken, Rasta pasta, and the oxtails. We've patronized enough to be able to write a review about the food. Simply delicious! Fresh! Full portions. Large portions to have enough left over for lunch the next day. I really enjoy that my food tastes and looks fresh! And the pricing is decent-- very affordable! I'm used to going to some other Caribbean restaurants and hearing "we're out of oxtails" or "we're out of snapper." Not once have I come to D&L and heard those words. I appreciate that whatever I order is always in stock. Service- The husband and wife team are superb. Great attitudes and they remember me. They care. My husband is a little picky and likes the peppers and onions for his fish on the side. They never give me a hassle about it and are always willing to accommodate. Atmosphere- The level of detail and service makes the atmosphere feel like home. This is not a chain big box store. It's a small establishment with BIG love! The dining area is intimate and on theme with the Jamaican colors.

Saw this in passing actually going to another Jamaican restaurant. I got the curry chicken lunch special and a side of oxtail. The food was good just needed a bit more seasoning to me. The lady that took my order was very pleasant. I will definitely go back to try some additional dishes.

Food was good would definitely recommend but not a fan of the Mac and cheese very dry or the greens taste like it's straight out the can with some spicy flavor

I'm so happy I gave this place a shot. Literally left the gym and I wanted protein and veggies. Found this place on Yelp and said "I guess I'll try it. Can a restaurant screw up meat and veggies?" I purchased the curry goat and cabbage. The food was seasoned to perfection (reminded me of my dad's curry goat) and customer service was good. I will be back.

He was amazing! His service, attitude, attentiveness, and overall professionalism were all on point and really helped make our visit enjoyable. To start, we ordered the jerk charbroiled oysters, which were incredibly flavorful and delicious. We also had the mango habanero wings, cooked extra crispy just as requested. They were packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, my girlfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta. It was well-portioned, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I had the jerk salmon and shrimp with cabbage and rice and peas, and it was equally impressive. We also added a side of mac and cheese, which was a great complement to the meal. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was welcoming and enjoyable. I definitely plan on coming back during the week to check out Happy Hour and returning on a Sunday to experience brunch. Highly recommended!

My brother/friend and I went yesterday for lunch and got the oxtail bowl and the pepper shrimp bowl. We were full for the rest of the day, and mind you, this was around 2:30 The service was amazing. We even talked about possibly hosting a teacher happy hour there, and he pointed us in the right direction on who to contact. Now let's get into the food... 1000/10! We sampled the greens, mac & cheese, and brisket with gravy, served family-style. The greens were well-seasoned, but the texture was off and they lacked the flavorful finish I was hoping for. The mac & cheese was definitely cheesy, but the flavor just wasn't there for me. The brisket was the biggest disappointment--it was tough rather than tender, and the gravy didn't save it. Overall, the presentation and concept were nice, but the food didn't deliver on flavor or texture for me. Unfortunately, this one gets a NOPE.

At heart, I'm a man that truly enjoy most Caribbean dishes ( oxtails, goat, curry/jerk chicken,…read moreroti, etc ) So, I set out on a quest to give a new Caribbean cuisine restaurant a shot at winning me over. That's when I bumped into Caribbean Dish... The name got me, yes it's basic, but the title was exactly what I was looking for. The restaurant is in a small unassuming parking lot... if you don't know it's there, you probably will miss it ( so glad I didn't !! ) The minute I walked in, I felt authentic family vibes ( something I look for when choosing my Caribbean locations ) The service was very friendly, and they cleared everything up when I wasn't sure if my particular craving could be fulfilled ( the combo I desired wasn't on their daily menu ) My sights were set on the oxtail and curry goat combo ( of course with rice & peas and veggies ! ) And when I say the goat was tender, and seasoned to perfection... while the oxtails had that juicy meatiness that will for sure keep me coming back. The rice & peas were cooked just right ( texture was on point ) and the veggies still had that freshness that brought everything else together. I love my Caribbean dishes saucy and not dry ( they get two thumbs up in that department ! ) Family vibes, cheerful greeting, and amazing food.... Caribbean Dish you just locked yourself in a loyal customer !!!!! Give them a shot and I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed !!!
