No HERE are the FACTS Donald!!-- 1) Your wife picked up the key fob Fri morning, per the dealership. I did not receive a phone call until almost 4PM that evening. Due to working, I was unavailable to answer at that exact time. 2) As I explained to your wife, I had a family event planned after work Sat, so planned to call her back Monday AM. 3) I received a snippy voicemail approx 10AM SUNDAY wondering "why I wasn't answering the phone b/c she was trying to schedule the key fob programming." (???)- I was IN CHURCH AT THAT TIME!! (I explained that too). 4) After church & lunch on Sun, I called your wife BACK early afternoon Sunday! She very abruptly stated she "didn't have her schedule in front of her, couldn't deal with it" & was at the hospital w/ her father in law. I told her I understood, no problem, was so sorry to hear about her FIL. I explained I'd been in church so missed her call & asked her to please call me back when things settled/ were better. She said you guys wanted to/ could conduct the key service at my home. I explained I'd feel more comfortable at a public place if she didn't mind (post office, dealership, etc). Her tone changed IMMEDIATELY and she became irritated. I wished her good luck for her FIL & said I hoped it all worked out. She said she'd call back. 5) Did not hear back. LEFT A VOICEMAIL FOR YOUR WIFE ON TUES. I HAVE CELL PHONE RECORDS. 6) Still NO RESPONSE. Fearing the worst for your family member, I chose to RESPECT your family privacy in case it ended badly. 7) The following Monday, after STILL NO RESPONSE, I called the business # asking if I could please leave a message for your wife to please call me back at her earliest convenience. You tore into me IMMEDIATELY (my husband was witness!!) and proceeded to tell me "We're not dealing with you because we don't want to do it, you're too much trouble and we don't like your attitude." I said "Whoa, whoa- what?? I have no idea what you're talking about!!" I reiterated what had transpired and you hung up on me! My husband called you back to calmly discuss the situation. You proceeded to tell him lies and he CALLED YOU OUT ON IT b/c HE HEARD EVERY WORD said between us!! You then cursed, repeated "not wanting to deal with it" and alleging I "had an attitude." (??- because I asked nicely to leave a message for your wife? What in the world?). My husband calmly asked you to describe what or how I allegedly "had an attitude." You faltered, stammered, and my husband repeated that he'd HEARD EVERY WORD. You couldn't substantiate your lies! Because you knew you were caught red handed! So you cursed and said "Goodbye!" Then HUNG UP ON MY HUSBAND as he returned some colorful language due to your VERBAL ABUSE! You have NO BUSINESS dealing with the public, SIR, if this is how you conduct business!! And I didn't deserve this treatment!! (I've had TONS of people in the county confirm this fact since your little outburst!! Your negative reputation precedes you!) Good day and God Bless! QUALITY WORK!!! D&L corrected the work of another area locksmith (In half the time). The locksmith was very knowledgeable and explained the "problems" and "fixes" to me in a way that was understandable for someone (like me) who has zero locksmith experience. Responded within an hour of my call and was professional from the beginning to the end of the job . Additionally, I know this is a small matter, but I guarantee everyone has hired a contractor of some sort that arrives in a run down truck/van that looks like its from the mid 70's, with the inside compartment trashed and dirty, with tools thrown around like it was involved in a vehicle accident. This was defiantly not the case. It was well maintained vehicle, and the inside work area was clean and orderly. Just saying, in my experience, the way a person maintains their workspace, directly reflects upon the quality of work. read more

Please do yourself a favor and find someone else! This guy tells you to call him back because he is on the road and currently busy, since he is a mobile business. Tells me that since I'm local to him to call in the mornings. I call back a few weeks later, because I ordered a new uncut key as well as a FOB. I call him back and he doesn't want my business anymore because according to him I was supposed to call him back at 5pm the same day. News to me! But, now he says I'm a waste of his time and lost his trust? I was just waiting for the right time to call and this guy doesn't want to look up prices again? Well, sir...you run a business and should be happy to look up the prices or at least know your prices! You are not the only locksmith in town, so I will find a more reputable business...but before I do, I will warn others so they don't waste their time either! Pitiful business ethics! read more

The Worst Customer Service/Business I've ever dealt with. I apologize for the long review, but I feel it is necessary to explain why I gave the rating I gave for this company, and to warn others. The title is no exaggeration, one of the rudest, nastiest people that I've talked to over the phone, and tried to do business with. I needed a locksmith to open my Mother's house to asses the damage due a pipe burst during the icy weather. It had been many years since I had been down to Mother's house, I currently live in Baltimore, and I have moved twice, and lost my original keys to the house. My Mother doesn't live in Maryland full time anymore, but comes out to visits once month. She asked me to go down to take pictures of the house/damage for her insurance company since she was unable to come out. Once I couldn't find the spare keys, she gave me her blessing to call a locksmith to open the house. I called D & L LockSmith out of Solomons, MD. As soon as the phone picked up on the other line, I kid you not, as soon as I asked if a locksmith was available, the guy on the other end let out a sigh, and sounded aggravated and annoyed. Every simple question I asked, ex - "Are you available to come out to Lexington Park, MD?" "How much will the service be?" "Do you take credit cards?," he responded in a very aggressive, nasty, tone. I was at a lost, I urgently needed a locksmith, so I kept calm and tried to ignore the frustration of this person, and thought maybe I just got this guy on a bad day...it got worst. When we were finally getting towards the finalization of this transaction, he asked for my credit card number information over the phone. I wasn't very comfortable with this, and when I said this, he got pissed off and then accused me of not being trustworthy. I then asked him, if he wanted to speak to my Mother over the phone to get her permission? He said "No, I don't know this woman," I suggested my next door neighbor could vouch for me (since he was the one that notified my Mother about the pipe burst, and knew me from when I used to live there), he again said "No, I don't this guy either", I then offered my driver's license or reconsidering taking my payment information again, again, he denied, and basically said "How do I know you're not trying to rob this house?" By this point, I had enough, and calmly asked "Why are you giving me a hard time?" He then turned around and said "Giving you a hard time? I'm trying to help you sir!" I mentioned everything from our conversation, then he just said, "You know what, you can find service somewhere else, I'm not going to help you," then hung up. Luckily, I found another company (Lock Doctor) and they came out and helped. I mentioned this company to the new locksmith that helped me, and he said that he has heard a lot of complaints about him, and customers going through the same ordeal that I went through. Please take my advice and go elsewhere, if this is how this company is to every person who requests their business, I have no idea why they still are in business, and they shouldn't be. They incorrectly installed an expensive combination lock on our business door and when they came out and saw that it had rusted out they refused to repair it even though it was within their 1 year guarantee of their work. This guy is a jerk. I tried calling him if he does cars, and he wanted to know what kind of car is it, and refused to answer if he does cars at all. Then he said something rude and hung up on me. Not sure if that's the kind of guy I want working on my locks here. read more
