Monday, we noticed that our furnace was blowing cold air. Tuesday am I called T.N. Bowes and was told someone would be out that same day to follow up after 2pm. Jason called me at 320 to let me know he was on his way - less then 1 1/2 after the estimated time - not too shabby! (I dare other service companies to improve their time!) He came by and was extremely professional - he explained everything to me, and I did not feel like I was talked down to because I am a female, as happens at a lot of places locally. He sadly informed me that we needed and new furnace. He showed me why, and was able to give me some great feedback when I asked his opinion about new units. He called home office, and was able to schedule the next morning, 8am (today!) for someone to come out and give me an estimate on a new unit. Eric came out this morning - on time! - and was also very polite and professional. He gave me my options, and gave me quote for a new furnace and a new ac, as I had requested. Their price is fair. They didn't haggle or make me feel like I needed to spend hours debating price (like I had to do for my windows and doors). They had simple financing options - we are able to get the new items for a no interest 5 year loan, with no pre payment penalty. The cost we will save on our ac bill with a newer more efficient model makes this an extremely wise investment (plus - it is needed!!!). Eric is able to order the parts today, and they will be back Friday to get us installed. I appreciate the super fast turn around - I am sure with this cold snap, they are very busy, but they still managed to come out and get us a new furnace in 4 days. Eric and Jason were both very professional, timely, and knowledgeable. (The young lady who answered the phone was awesome too!) I called TN Bowes in a panic because my cat had gotten into the HVAC ducts and was lost. The fire department came and went, unable to help reach her, and this was my last hope. To make a long story short, TN BOWES' Eddie and Albert came out immediately and eventually got my cat out alive. Without them, my baby would have been gone forever in a horrific death, as she would have been trapped and/or electrocuted. It was a traumatic experience for us all, but Eddie and Albert are absolute heroes! When I had a problem with my A/C unit I called a well-known HVAC company who came out and cut the refrigerant lines so he could test the air handler/compressor and lines separately. He then determined that all were were leaking and I might as buy a new system for $8,000. The unit is only eight years old, and it is only a weekend place. So I called TN Bowes. His repairman came out and determined that only the compressor was leaking, and that could be replaced for $2,000. Of course it cost me something else to have them repair what the other company damaged. They did the work in a timely fashion, very professionally, and cleaned up everything before they left (finger prints on white doors). They should have been wearing capes with a big S on it!!
