I was on my way out of town and had a hankering for something caffeinated... The spot is literally one of the last places to stop on the way out of town, so it was perfect! List of offerings here, while not as expensive as some standalone coffee houses, is pretty impressive for a roadside coffee stand. They have 20 of specialty drinks, smoothies, and a number of other offerings. Anymore, I miss most of my recommendations on how the drip coffee is, is it's hard to fake a bad cop! My depth charge, a drip coffee with a shot of espresso, was very good. Very smooth, with very little bite. It's definitely something that I will be ordering again in the future! The gal working here was very friendly, and get things done very quickly. They have windows on either side of the stand, so I imagine drink busier times it makes things run a little bit smoother. Like any coffee stand however, I can imagine when it's busy it takes a bit longer. It's definitely a first world problem when you have to sit inside a warm, or cool, car and wait a bit for somebody else to make you a beverage to drink inside said warm or cool car. First cup of coffee I had growing up was from d&m, have travelled the world and still this is the place that comes to mind when I think of the roast I like best. Was driving through and made quick stop at Canyon Road location, everyone has off day- but this was definitely what I hope was off day at this location. Wait was unexpectedly long, ordered an americano with splash of cream, and received what tasted like warm water with cup of cream. I hope this was a one off, and not reflective of where the quality has gone. Will try again next time through, but as lover of espresso this definitely was a blow. read more

About 6 months ago I started coming to ellensburg about 3/4 days a week. I get a coffee every morning... Usually at Wake up call in Spokane. Other than Starbucks ellensburg has minimal options for espresso. D&M is also locally owned and operated so ideally I would love to love them, but i just can't! I have tried all 3 locations, Canyon Rd being closest and easy for me, and of course it has been the worst. There is zero consistency, other than the service being terrible, wait being long, and girls rude. There have been few occasions when I did receive a good coffee. Today I went to the canyon Rd location- somehow waited at the window for a good 5 minutes when there were NO OTHER CARS! She was inside chatting with someone. When I received my coffee it was a mess and spilt all over my car. The shots were burned. It tastes terrible. I went the location by Fred Meyer and the girl was super sweet and fixed it for me. Props to you girl in the camo sweater, you fixed my bad coffee and sour attitude! All in all D&M is low on my list. But they have so much potential. If they could hire and train a few girls who understood customer service, smiling, working for tips , and how to pull good shots they could have all 5 of my stars. read more

If I could rate this location a ZERO I would. I've tried to give this specific location several tries and today I've decided it's is not worth driving up this window. I love D&M coffee. But this place has the worst customer service possible. I cannot fathom how rude the girls are here. This location could make the best first impression since it is located at the entrance/ exist of Ellensburg but the rude and condescending service it provides will ruin that opportunity. I hope the Canyon road location can improve their customer service and can possibly learn from the baristas at the Water St. location. Their positive attitudes, genuine conversations, and quality customer service goes beyond the expectations. Maybe one of the Water St. baristas can train the Canyon Rd. gals to improve their customer service. I will continue to stick to the Water St. location because I do genuinely enjoy the coffee at D&M. read more

If you are looking for something more local with some personal flavor beyond the chain coffee that is Starbucks...this is a nice little spot. It is right across from the Starbucks (so equally close to the highway). We have made the stop at both sometimes if one of us wants some variety. There is nothing great or horrible to mention. The baristas are nice enough and the coffee is its own...as with any little shop. read more

Went into D and M coffee with my girlfriend and her parents. My gf and I ordered just before her mother, but we were able to finish our sandwich and drinks and her mother never even got her drink!!! They called something that was similar to her drink, but it had the wrong type of milk and no whipped cream, like we asked. We asked if this was her order, and the barista snapped "Well is this what you ordered?" her mother said, "No, it has the wrong milk and no whip" and the barista snapped back "Well then it's not yours, is it?", and motioned towards a giant basket of receipts, which I assume they use to keep track of orders. The receipt had no name on it, but we knew it was hers, but the barista swore it wasn't, and we sat back down. 20 more minutes passed, and again, we went up to ask about it, and they said they were very busy. I said, "People who came in 15 minutes after us are getting their orders in 5 minutes, we've been here 30!" She said "You don't know what it's like", to which I call bs, because I worked in retail my whole life. I know it's a rush, but this is coffee, and we've been here 30 minutes waiting on one drink. The baristas LAUGHED at us. I noticed one barista was wearing a shirt that was insulting to my religion. And we asked for a refund, but the baristas continued to act snippy. She snapped at us, "Here's your stupid refund." And we left. Worst service I've ever had at a coffee place!!! Came in on Saturday 5/15/2021 at 11, left near 11:40. If any manager sees this, please contact me. This whole thing could have been solved if they wrote names on receipts, and didn't have such bratty, rude baristas. read more

This classic, home town coffee joint is the freshest steeze north of California! Their big train chai has no equal, and it is all made better by Nikki's fabulous customer service. I'm only giving one star just because the girl was kinda nice. If it was based on only the product it would have been a zero no doubt about it. Worst tasting coffee I have ever had in my life. Even the hot chocolate was disgusting which is nearly impossible to mess up. We had tons and tons of grounds at the bottom of two coffees. ( I only know because we had iced drinks and I could see it at the bottom of the cup, not because I wanted to torture myself with finishing the drink.) I would never recommend. Extremely disappointed in D & M coffee stand today. We had company in from Oregon and we stopped by to pick up 4 coffee drinks around 8 a.m. The order was quite simple, two identical drinks for each couple. The young lady passing us our coffees through the window had no clue or care as to the drinks she was handing to us. Two drinks were sweetened and two unsweetened, she told us chai was Americanos and vice versa. While I could understand on one drink, she did this for all four drinks. Our guests do not consume sugar. I shared my concern with the young lady and she mentioned she was not responsible for the drink once it left the window. I went on to remind her that the drinks were still on her inside counter, which she proceeded to tell me she didn't care. My disappointment was in the lack of service or care for their customers. I'm sure their business will continue to thrive however I'll not be giving them my dollars again as their are other coffee shops in town that simply treat their customers with care and friendliness. read more
