Tried to pick up my pants but door was locked!!!! Phone message says phone has been disconnected. What is happening?

I took in a men's suit and was told 4 different prices (45, then 60, 50, 55) for shortening the sleeves and shortening the pants. I went back on the date they were to be ready only to be told I needed to come back 2 days later. Sleeves had 4 buttons on each but came back with only 3 which they then fixed. I asked for cuffs on the pants and they came back without them. This can't be fixed. Won't ever go back. read more

There is a woman who says her name is RODEEKA who runs this alteration business. I left a dress there for a formal event and went to go pick it up and she wasn't there and wouldn't return my calls. I had to go out and buy another dress for the event. I went back the next day and she still was not there. Eight people were waiting outside of her door. The day before I had called the police because when I tried to see if she was in the shop myself and another two people were also waiting outside the door; we saw her crawling around on the floor behind the counter,and every time she would pop up and see us, she would go back down on the floor behind the counter!! The police knocked on the door, but she would not answer. The police said this situation has happened many times. I consulted with various other Shop owners in the shopping center, and they said unfortunately, she has gone crazy and is doing this to her customers. She is not reliable. After waiting for three hours, I finally was able to see her show up at the store. She was crying about a dog dying, not even her dog, which didn't make any sense. She immediately knew who I was gave me the dress while crying. No mention of her erratic behavior. I wanted my dress back. Her business should be closed or there should be some sort of public notice. Please do not go to this business -- she's unreliable and horrible. I think at one point she did excellent work. This is no longer the case. Please do not frequent this business. read more

I brought a dress to be altere. hem and tighten shoulder straps. the hem was a ruffle. I asked the price before I left and was told I don't know. when I picked it up it was $180! outrageous. that's more than I paid for the dress! I told her I wouldn't have left it there if I knew the price. she just shrugged. I feel so taken advantage of. do not go here! read more

The woman who works here is horribly rude and disgusting. She destroyed my clothes without a thought to even consult me before doing so. She comes in the store crying and carrying on about her personal problems expecting you to show empathy for her and her situation however when she ruins the items you worked hard to pay for she tells you to go and buy another one as if that's how life works. She raved on about how a woman came in her store angry about the service she received and took items (clothes belonging to other people in anger) at first I wondered what would drive a person to do such a thing but then I had my personal horrific experience with this woman. Not only did she destroy my clothes but her work was sloppy and without care or regard for the person wearing it. STEER CLEAR of this business if you take any pride in how you look. She will never ever get my business again. read more

I would give this place a 0 if I could. I have been going to this woman for years when her husband used to work w her. I brought 14 items into her. I had to bring back at least 7 items , as they were not altered to my liking and as I showed her how I wanted it . I started trying on my jeans and she said no problem w some of them and others she stated she couldn't make them any tighter. All of a sudden I noticed certain items already tried on and said she would fix she couldn't find. There were only 2 people in store and I can assure you they didn't take my clothes. At one point I asked her are you feeling ok? She looked out of it. She started crying "omg what am I going to do." I said calm down and stop crying. She started looking all over and crying. All of a sudden she found them where she originally placed them. If I didn't know better I would have thought there was something really wrong going on with her. Not normal behavior. At that point, all of a sudden she said give me the pants she stated she couldn't fix and proceeded to fix them on her sewing machine. So she made them a little tighter. At that point I said I hope you aren't going to charge me. I said after all I paid $200.00 for all these items ( this was the price I believed she charged me due to her first quote when I walked in two weeks ago). My husband picked up the pants so I was under impression they were $200.00. All of a sudden she says to me bullshit you didn't pay $200.00 you paid $140.00 I said let me go outside to ask my husband. My husband stated it was somewhere between $120-150. He couldn't remember. I came back in and told her what my husband said and she started crying again and I told her it's not worth it we already clarified the price stop crying. She calls my husband a liar. She then motions to me to follow her outside which I did and says get out. I said are you crazy? I paid for these items to be fixed and you have an obligation to just take them in a little more. She starts screaming get out. She tried to shut the front door on me that's when I put my foot at the bottom of the door to stop her from shutting door in my face. That is when she pushed me. I told her touch me one more time I'm calling the police. She then stood there w a crazy look on her face and calls me crazy. This is a woman who started crying when she thought she lost my clothes and couldn't remember where she put them but I'm crazy. She also didn't fix my sweater pocket correctly. One side of the kangaroo pocket was hanging lower than the side she fixed and one pair of jeans that she took in on the leg was all bunched together. When I showed them to her she looked at me w a glazed look on her face. This woman shouldn't have a business let alone be left in the store alone, as she has no clue as to what's going on around her. A woman walked in handed her a wrapped box of what looked like could have been cookies, I asked her did she know the woman cause she just sat on the floor looking at the woman w a blank face. I brought a blouse in to have a very minor alteration and was told it would be $5. When I came back several weeks later she couldn't find it at first, and then said it was $10. I showed her the receipt she gave me had $5, but it didn't matter. If I wanted my blouse I had to pay $10. If they'd do this, how do I know if they told me $30 to fix something and when I came to get it they said it was $50. While I was there a man came in with a gown that had an underlining. Apparently when it was shortened they never shortened the underlining and his mother had to use tape to shorten it so she could wear it to her grandchild's wedding. My friend had already brought something in to them prior to my experience. When she went to pick it up on Saturday as instructed not only was it not ready, but they couldn't find it. The owner is rude and her work is sloppy! She ruined my dress and jumpsuit!!! She was supposed to take cut the seems of my jumpsuit straps and sew them shorter instead she folded them as is and sewed them uneven . Then she put several hooks in the front of my dress to close it that were all uneven! read more

The person working the counter quoted $10 per pair of pants when I called before I came. You should agree on rates/prices prior to pick up to ensure you are not taken advantage of before going to this place. BEWARE. My Hispanic boyfriend picked up my items for me while I was working and was racially profiled by her stand-off vibe and her stating "I wasn't expecting you to be her boyfriend." Like WTF is that supposed to mean? When I complained about the mis-quoting of the rates for my items, she told me to go to any other alteration place but hers. I purchased a gown for my child's wedding. The store where I bought it did the initial alterations which were unacceptable. I went back three times but they couldn't get it right. I took the gown to D & R and for $20 they made it perfect. I take all my clothing there for alterations. read more

I took a new suit there to get the pants hemmed, and sleeves altered. I brought the jacket home and my wife noticed that one sleeve was longer than the other. I went back the next day and the owner told me I was crazy and the jacket was perfect. I begged her just to make the adjustment and she begrudgingly agreed. My wife went in the next day to explain that she also noticed the difference. The owner became very defensive and told my wife to take the jacket and never come back. Obviously, this is no way to treat a customer. We will certainly never come back. read more

This place is a RIP-OFF. I went to pick up my merchandise and they told me it was over $200 for 3 items. They told me how much 2 of the items cost but could not tell me the price of the third. They were supposed to sew belts onto the items but only put hooks instead. They also were supposed to hem the lining of a dress and did not. I could go on and on for all the things they said they were going to do with these items that they did not do. I got tired of arguing with them because of all the things they did not do. If I could leave a negative 10 star rating I would. When my boyfriend came to pick up my things I was upcharged from the original price we had talked about, besides that she made a couple of comments to my black boyfriend when he came to pick up my things the comments was oh you're her boyfriend I wasn't expecting you to be her boyfriend because of the simple fact of me being white. I then called her and asked her what she meant by the comments she didn't started yelling and saying you people don't come to my store you people go anywhere else you want but don't never come back in my store. Which I wasn't planning on coming back to her store anyways because of the fact that the price wasn't correct and also the way she treated my boyfriend so she has no worries on that plus with everything that's going on in society you would think you would just be nice to one another but I guess it's all a dream. read more

The worse customer service ever...super unfriendly and very cold to even a question. Wanted me to leave both garments without a receipt, changed the prices she gave me over the phone and when I confronted her with that she said she are welcomed to go elsewhere after I drove 45 mins to get to her. That not all she never did the second garment, just returned it to me when I picked up and had to nerve to say she only accepts CASH. I think someone is hiding something, do you. read more

I took my daughter to have a mermaid style gown purchased at Saks for her sister's wedding shortened. At the second fitting the dress was uneven. When i pointed this out they argued that the dress was fine. When another customer in the shop also agreed that the dress was uneven they reluctantly agreed to adjust the gown. I picked the gown up without my daughter since she lives in Miami and could not travel back. When my daughter tried the gown on it was mess. She took it back to Saks to have it fixed. Fortunately they were able to salvage the dress however, they had to shorten the dress and the shoes we had bought and had dyed were now too high for the gown. It ended up costing over $500 extra between the cost of additional alterations, loss of shoes, and purchase of new shoes not counting the money paid to D & R for the initial alterations. I also had them fix a hem on a pair of shorts and they made a mess of them as well. DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING YOU VALUE THERE. read more
