They used to have a good reputation…read moreand I was a loyal customer for 8 years...but the economy must have hit them hard because now they charge exorbitant prices for unneeded work. They told me I needed a $400 front brake job-when I took it elsewhere I was told I had 50% left on the brakes. I needed a battery-was quoted $140-they tried to justify it by telling it took half an hour to install it. A 60,000 mile tune up (air filter/plugs/brake fluid/radiator fluid) was quoted at $600. When questioned about getting a bit of a break-I was told "You want it free ?-go somewhere else..." I did-after having to pay them $90 for the 'quote/estimate'. Come here only if you have extra cash that's burning a hole in your pocket-otherwise you'd have to have a hole in the head to use this joint. p.s.-they smoke cigs whilst working on your car-it will take weeks for the stench to dissipate.

I've lost count of the number of little things Mike has done for me over the years, but it's a lot. He's even given me rides to and from the garage when I couldn't stay and wait all day when it needed a long repair. My car is 20+ and has almost 400,000 miles on the clock and I think Mike cares as much about my car as I do.

Took it to Toyota last week for a routine service and told them we heard a funny noise coming from the car as we were driving. After examing the car, they had a diagnosis: we needed four new tires (approx $950) and a COMPLETE replacement of the ENTIRE exhaust system, as a pipe was somehow bent and impairing something else. That added up to another $2,300. We asked around, and from the high recommendations we received for Hammonasset Service Station, we took it there. Rich looked at the car right away.
