Everyone liked the cake so much that I wish I purchased two cakes instead of one. The customer service was amazing I was treated as though I was a long term and frequent customer. I think it was strawberry shortcake. There was banana pudding. There was an Oreo, cookies, and Cream , then I saw what I think was a chocolate drizzle with walnuts on top that was my favorite. My first favorite was the Oreo and I took like the rest of the assortment to his class with the other teacher and staff staffers that helped. They all agreed that it was also yummy and I asked them which ones were their favorite so for the third time the Oreo was mentioned again. The next one that was mentioned right after that was the banana pudding. I like that one as well and third, but definitely not least is the strawberry shortcake . Also, I'm super impressed by the fact that she uses natural food pigments instead of artificial dyes to color her cakes (in this instance, blueberry powder). We will definitely be ordering from her again! Of note, the bakery can be a little hard to find at first, and it is tucked away within the Memphis Co-op here in Cordova. The cake was decorated decently, however, the inside of the cake layers is buttercream. I found this out after I already took a generous bite and I have been struggling with my stomach since then. The cream cheese icing used was almost unbearably sweet, so unfortunately, a good portion of the cake slices were thrown away and the remainder of the cake will have to be disposed of. I worked in an Italian bakery in NYC for a few years and have never tasted an icing that was THIS sweet. On top of everything else, the cake was supposed to be lemon flavored. I'm assuming they "baste" their cakes either a lemon flavoring because the only area that had any lemon flavoring was the immediately part touching the buttercream that I threw away after the first bite. The icing on them is not too sweet and very light, which is perfect because I usually scrape the icing off of cupcakes if it's too sweet.
