They charged me $40 for an inspection. I questioned it but didn't argue when he repeated himself because it was the last day to get my inspection done, and I had to go home to get my inhaler then get straight to work. I had called to book an appointment that day, and I arrived 15 minutes before I was told to, so I did anticipate at least a 15 minute wait. But there was a line going up the road and the parking lot was full when I got there. I asked a few guys if something was wrong, and they said everyone was on line for a first come, first serve inspection. The shop doesn't do appointments. However, I knew I booked an appointment earlier, so I parked in the line and walked into the shop. I told a mechanic that I seemed to be on line for first come, first serve line, but I had booked an appointment, although someone on line said there is no such thing. I asked what's happening. He was polite. He said it's tight but go into the parking lot and park wherever I could find a spot. They'll be right with me. I did and was then avoided for probably over an hour. I probably wouldn't have been able to leave if I tried because everywhere was packed. The people working there wouldn't acknowledge me at all after I was in the lot. It was as if I was invisible. Cars that arrived on the road long after I had were getting inspected and leaving. I asked a woman waiting with me if she had ever been there before and if it's a legitimate business. She said it was her second visit, but she never went for an inspection. She said they gave bad vibes, but she felt they also did good work the first time. So, I didn't try leaving, although I probably should've. The shop was beyond filthy. My asthma was triggered when I went inside to talk to someone. I think it was a customer who saw me wheezing and told me to get my car and park near him by the bays. After that the people working there started acknowledging me told me to drive up to the bay. I don't know if that was when they planned to tend to me or if the customer told them to take me before him. He had to move his car for me to get in. My car was passed in a glance, but the whole wait was still inconvenient and I was overcharged. read more

I literally went here for an inspection. I was told to come back hours later. I came back at a lot of time the employee/manager/whoever he was literally walked past me, and didn't even acknowledge that I was there for service. Probably the worst customer service I've seen Anywhere. Places like this really make you think about the auto industry, especially when it comes to service. I couldn't even tell you their prices because I never got that far. Stood there for about 20 minutes and wasn't helped first and last time I will be going to this place. read more

My mechanic recommended this shop for my inspection. I didn't if I needed to make an appointment I just went straight there. My current sticker had expired by 3 months. The shop I had been going to the last 6 plus years the state is not allowing them to do inspections anymore so this shop took me right away. Very thankful for that. The owner spoke with respect, didn't pick up on any nasty/ rude vibes. If I did he wouldn't gotten my business. Inspection was done in a very timely fashion. The shop itself is truly a MESS and well season. I paid for the inspection and tipped because of the short notice & no appointment. read more

The mechanic at this shop was extremely disrespectful, and what made it worse was the manager's response. Instead of addressing the behavior, the manager seemed perfectly fine with it, which tells me this kind of treatment is accepted here. No customer should be insulted or spoken to rudely, and it's even more disappointing when management excuses it instead of correcting it. That's not leadership, and it's not professionalism. I will not return and I don't recommend this shop to anyone who expects basic respect. read more

Don't Get a Tow from this company.......my wife broke down yesterday 3/1/2025 and the state police came on scene....she couldn't find a Tow company so the officer assist her with this company....Big mistake.....for a 15 mile tow they charged her $425.00.....she asks for a receipt and he replied if I give you a receipt I have t charge you taxes....the guy at the shop it was tow to as well....The tow truck driver said if she would have called him directly It would have been $100.00 Less...That's bad and who takes advantage of people in need....This company sucks Don't Do It ....Take your Business elsewhere..... read more

LYING AND ATTEMPTING TO STEAL MONEY. Stopped in for an inspection. Called to let them know I was outside. Owner said "park your car and come inside" hung up the phone on me. Then I went inside and he told me to go back outside and check if there was a car in bay 3. Confused, I went outside and stood there til someone showed me where to bring my car. After NOT inspecting my vehicle at all (seriously. It was done in 3 minutes) a worker said that will be $40. I said excuse me? And he responded $40. I said really, I thought it was $21? He said oh ok... $21. I paid and left and the entire thing was done in 10 minutes. Highly unethical and definitely tried to pocket extra money from me because I'm a female. UPDATE: owner called and said he chooses to charge $40 for inspection because he "passes them whether they are legal or not." They were a huge disappointment. A few weeks ago I needed a tow. They told me they would be there within 20 minutes. I ended up having to wait almost an hour. Then they wanted to charge me extra because I wanted my car taken to my regular shop. Since then I've heard that they do very shoddy work. Highly recommend DJ and drivers service. We own a fleet of cars. Late on a Sunday, one of our cars had a mishap on Rt 17. Our regular go to tow truck company did not answer his phone. With a second call, we were told it would be at least an hour wait. With one call to DJ, he had two very professional and accommodating drivers to the scene. More shocked that his fee was a quarter of what our regular tow truck company would charge. DJ has our business from now on. read more

Using my insurance agency, the scheduled tow company said they'd be out in 90 minutes. NYSDOT called for a State Tow to save time. Mike from D. Anderson Towing provided a tow from Middletown back to New Windsor for me tonight, He arrived in less than 20 minutes, had my car up on the flatbed and off we went. He was very courteous and offered to help push the car into the driveway when we got it to the house. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

I ran out of gas today in front of this establishment. I had a baby in the car and it is in the eighties today. I was literally in the middle of the road. My daughter went over to this tow/garage where their was several men working. She asked if someone could help us push us off the road to safety, they just looked at us. When we asked if we could buy gas, we were told they had to wait for their boss to came back. My daughter pushed us off to the side of the road herself. I called my auto company and rescued us.
