Went in to have tires swapped and a inspection. Had it done (tires) and Brady tells me I need a full brake job and front ball joints and wheel bearings. I ordered the parts beforehand to do the work myself since I have over 40yrs of experience and was a certified inspector. I get setup to begin the work and everything I was told was within spec. He didn't know my background and rather than go toe to toe with his knowledge (read thievery) I decided to spread what a thief he and his business is. read more

Went to Bradys's for a BBQ refill. It was 13 dollars to fill a bbq tank. Very friendly workers.

Went to Brady's for 30 years but never again. Was told my car needed the brake liners replaced because they were beginning rot. Told me to bring the car in by Thursday and it would be ready before the weekend. Car was dropped off Wednesday morning, called Thursday afternoon and was told it might not be done by Friday. Mechanic also said the car was dropped off late; it was dropped off at 8 AM. Told them to forget and I would pick up the car. When I did no one said a word to me. Brought the car to another mechanic and guess what? The brake lines were just fine and didn't need replacing. After 30 years, that's how you treat a customer? Tell them they need repairs they don't need? Will be going to the other mechanic from now on. read more

If I could put less than one star I would. I grew up in the tiny town this shop is in and my mother entrusted the owner Bill's father before I was driving. We took our vehicles there most of my life even though there was almost always more wrong once we left than when we got there because they always "worked with" my single mother of three when it came time to pay. Now as an adult I live in Brooklyn NY two hours away and stopped in while visiting family to get a quick inspection... I asked that I be called if there were any issues right away so that I could give the go ahead to resolve them, or otherwise call when it was done, as I had work in Manhattan that evening so I was on a slight time constraint. Not only was I not contacted when my vehicle did not pass for something minor OR when it was done, I got an attitude when I got there and asked why no one called. The guy, Ed, who has been there since I can remember, kept telling me that he didn't work on the car so he didn't know what to tell me. They didn't even print out the fail slip so I could at least show an officer if I got pulled over on my way home on good faith with an expired inspection. When I asked that this be done I might as well have asked for his first born- all the papers on the desk went flying and he stomped out to get the car and redo the state emissions to get the official form printed that should have been done in the first place- according to state regulations. If this isn't bad enough- he never gave me my debit card back- partially my fault for not remembering also- but when I spoke with owner Bill the next morning he got angry very quick when I started explaining the crazy situation to him. Rather than just being a decent business owner and taking responsibility for his employees actions and apologizing- he began cursing at me; calling me trailer trash- and a tramp. I then explained that I live in New York City and there are no trailers there- to which he replies- "well then you're scum on the streets with the rest of them" -I live in a private home and own a private car- so I am fairly certain that is grossly inaccurate- but alright.... I have been going there for almost two decades, but I am bi-racial and haven't been there without my mother before unless she called on my behalf ahead of time as a teen... She is white.... I think I saw the backwoods racism in that town for the first time in my life this week... Whatever the reason.... Shame on you Bill, and shame on Brady's for treating anyone like this for any reason. read more

I've been going to Brady's for a few years and always have always had a positive experience. I always fear the worst and more than once they have come through with simple inexpensive solutions to my car worries. Plus I can fill my propane tanks for $15 which is great. read more

Went to fill my propane tanks because of the HUGE road sign with the advertised price of $10 to fill up a 20 lb. "barbeque" tank. So a 40 lb. tank would be $20, right? WRONG!!!! AFTER they filled my 40 lb. tank AND my 100 lb. tank, they charged me OVER $100!!! WHAT??!? They said the prices were clearly posted (where NO ONE can see them)...on the far side of the booth, and on the INSIDE (garage side) of the payment window!!! Typical bait and switch, and the guy refused to adjust the price. Never again!!! I'll take the ride to Florida where the prices are clear and no one is trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Good reviews for car service, just get your prices UP FRONT! read more
