Came in during lunch today and requested 2 regular slices. First thing we noticed was that none of the employees were wearing masks. In a time like this you should be promoting guest safety, not trying to avoid it. When I ordered the slices it was clear as day that the pie was old. It looked as if it had been sitting for awhile or like it had come from a refrigerator. The kicker was the charge for the slices and the way they printed their receipts. $3.50 per slice?!? For a regular slice thats a freaking joke, especially if you're not busy and the pies are left to die on the countertop everyday. I eat pizza religiously and to have to pay that much for something of this quality the owner should frankly be embarassed. And the receipt was very oddly setup to where the item you purchase is not itemized with an item and price next to it like every other business does. On the receipt I received it shows a charge for $5 and then 2 charges for a $1 item totaling to $7. When asked about the charges the gentleman said he doesn't have it setup where items purchased have a charge associated with them. I asked why he doesn't have a receipt that would say "Regular Slice - $3.50" and he said he didn't want to set it up that way. So basically what he does is charge you what he wants as nothing has a price associated with it in his computer. Buyer beware. read more

Really 4.5 stars. My fiancé and ordered from here Monday night. We ordered a calzone, chicken parm and spaghetti and the rigatoni with vodka sauce. The calzone was average i expected more for 11$. However the pasta with vodka sauce was amazing. It was creamy and flavorful. The portion size was really good also. I loved the spaghetti it was cooked right and the sauce was good too. Chicken parm was a generous size and had a good amount of mozzarella cheese on it. I would def order again or go in person. read more

D'Anna's has been around since 2000. It 1st opened when I moved to Elmont and attended High School in the area. My mother ordered from their regularly on Pizza nights. This is not the best Pizza in the area but it is good. D'Anna's is known for their delicious Garlic Knots. They also stuff them with pepperoni. Many pizza shops just roll dough together and throw some crushed garlic and they call that a Knot but it's NOT! (See what I did there :) D'Anna's Garlic Knots are packed full of flavor. Fresh parsley and Garlic. The knot itself is soft as a pillow and baked fresh. I recently visited when my daughter begged me for a local slice. Elmont is a Italian neighborhood, however, it's hard to find great pizza. So we stopped in. I ordered a buffalo chicken slice. It was packed heavy deep dish style with chicken breast and buffalo sauce. Very filling. The Buffalo sauce was spicy how I love it. D'Anna's is a great place to stop by while in the neighborhood but the pizza competition is stiff in Elmont...let alone Queens. read more

We've been coming here for a while. Typically last minute because it's so close to our house. There is seating on the inside if you want to dine in but we always take out. The chairs definitely need to be updated. I thought I was going to fall through the one I sat down in. I got startled and screamed when I sat down. Lol! The decorations are pretty cool, themed for the race track down the street. My son really likes the horses and was interested in the horse races they had showing on the tv. The staff is pretty friendly it seems, I only really interacted with one but I saw the others interacting with the other customers. The pizza is pretty delicious as I said we eat pizza there pretty often. Thursday for the first time I got Shrimp Parm, which was actually really good. The shrimp were REALLY good. Prepared perfectly for my taste buds. The sauce was just okay, but for not feeling like cooking after trick or treating it hit the spot lol. read more

This is supposed to be shrimp linguine but as you can see it is a tragic example. The shrimp are burnt and brownish. Like why?Shrimp are not suppose to look like what's in this picture. My parents have ordered from this pizzeria quite a few times. With that said it MUST be good because my dad is picky when it comes to Italian food, pizza in particular. Me on the other hand never knew the difference between any slice of pizza until I actually took the time to savor each bite of all the different types out there. So today I had D'anas pizza. We ordered a whole pie and waited for it to come out of the oven. I indulged right then and there at that moment of freshness...opened the box and scarfed down a piping hot slice. I never actually appreciated this place until today. I swear just writing this review is making me salivate. The cheese on the pizza was like complete liquid almost as if it were blended into the sauce. It was absolutely magnificent. The pizza was just so effin delicious. The pizzeria itself is nothing special. It's not huge, but there's enough room to eat. Don't be intimidated by the area either. Not the best of places, but sometimes you gotta suffer to fill the pie hole! My only complaint was the Zeppolis and for this I had to deduct a star. Clearly who ever makes the pizza knows what they are doing. Can't speak about the other Italian food, but after tasting the pizza I would assume it tastes outrageous. On the flipside if I had just ordered Zeppolis I wouldn't even come back here to try the food. They were so dissapointing. I think they just fried up some pizza dough, and threw some powder sugar & baking soda in a bag and then shook it up and gave it to me. They were horrible! Terrible! Gross! I used to idolize this place when I was a child, because it was right next to the library. I would always hope my mum would buy me a slice or garlic knots after a day spent reading. Recently, I stopped in to treat myself out of homage. I was irritated. The person behind the counter was RUDE and took forever to take my order. Then had me waiting there for awhile, while he gave other people their orders when the had order after me. But what really upset me was that the quality of the food had decreased! What a shame. Finding good Italian food in Western Nassau county is a bit tough, however, it's nice to know that D'Annas is around. They have a great selection of chicken, fish and meats. Not to mention a very broad spectrum of different pizzas and toppings. Their food is always fresh and tasty, and their delivery is always quick and professional. We called after the shop closed (approximately 10:05pm) -- they took our order, but didn't let us know they were closing soon. Around 10:30pm they called to hurry us into the shop to get the food. We ordered a plain pie. It was good. I wouldn't drive out of my way to get it, but for something quick & local it was good. Buffalo Slice was terrible. Packed heavily with buffalo chicken breast and weird strips of cheese. If you're craving a buffalo slice in the Elmont area do yourself a favor and stick with Gino's. It literally looked, and tasted, like old chicken breast was dumped on dough then slathered in a generic sauce with mini sprinkles of cheese. NEVER AGAIN! read more

By far the worst pizza i have ever got for delivery. Ordered a upside down sicilian. Pizza was cold and it was for sure made an hour or so ago for them to sell in the counter or by a mistake. We order here often for take out and are always very pleased! They offer fantastic coupons which make their entrees extremely affordable. Food is always cooked perfect, chicken always pounded thin which is my favorite. Their portions are relatively large can normally get two meals out of one entree.
