it's a nice pizzeria in the cut very spacious plenty of tables for two or a group. The food is made fresh right in front of you. The restaurant is clean so is the food prep area you can eat in or order out they do deliver the pizza was delicious. Service was pretty quick and I didn't have to wait and the pizza pie was fresh out the oven. Nice size slices plenty of cheese plenty of sauce, I was pleased with my slices! I got three slices. I try to save one for later, but I had to eat them all together. I couldn't wait. if you're in the area and you're hungry for Pizza, stop in and give them a try, they're well worth it. My second time trying this pizzeria out the first time my boyfriend picked up the food and the second time I picked up the food. I got the shrimp parmigiana with linguine and I got him the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. I also ordered a garden salad which I did not like I like the Caesar salad from here better the garden had chopped up olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and large pieces of lettuce which were large white pieces not enjoyable. Now back to the main dishes, the Shrimp parmigiana was made well, The portion size was good. While there I did notice that they had Zeppoli so I got an order of that to go also. They put it in the oven once I got in my car I began to eat one and it was cold inside ahhh idk about this one. For your neighborhood pizzeria this place is OK to visit. read more

The food wasn't great, the dough wasn't cooked all the way and the texture was gross, like I was eating a slimy soup. A lot of grease too, didn't sit well in my stomach. I got a buffalo roll. And I also got 2 drinks and a chicken mushroom and came out to $18. I think that's way too much imo. And one of the guys was kinda rude. I see what others are talking about. Their customer service is the absolute worse. I guess they're used to dealing with these annoying school kids but they need to be respectful. I'm not a child and I wouldn't even treat my children the way I was treated by the staff here. They will never get my money again and you shouldn't spend yours here either. The only reason I come to this place is because they just so happen to serve beef patties. But the service here is so poor. One time I tried to order a beef patty and they said they didn't have any... as I was looking at them on the shelf. I just walked out. Some girl came running out and said oh sorry she didn't realize they ordered more. This time I saw one lonely slice of pizza on the shelf. I asked if they were making more because I wanted to order 2 slices. She said "no not at the moment." So you mean to tell me at 6:30 on a Sunday y'all just ran out of slices? So I switched my order to a beef patty. She tells the guy in Spanish to make it. He tells her in a few minutes... then proceeds to text someone on the phone for 5 mins straight. The one in valley stream is AWFUL the food might taste mediocr. However, the customer service is THE WORST I called to place an order from work. I explained I am allergic to eggplant. They obviously just took it off the chicken. I had a reaction and then the refused to answer the phone. The person who answered the phone the first time didnt have a clue what I was ordering and if they can take the eggplant off. It was a very annoying frustrating process just order thtee meals. Not the worst but not the best. Customer service is alright in store but over the phone is always a slight issue. I live close and it's convenient for the price. I live a 5 minute walk from this pizzeria AND it was right next to my high school. And guess what? I practically had pizza all the time during since it was like $2 per slice. Random footnote: I'm really sorry, I am a small 4'11 and weigh approximately 100 pounds and I may eat more than people my body frame but one slice of pizza is definitely not enough! I usually need 2 to be content!!!! (Some of my guy friends here come and grab 3-4 slices haha) Well anyways.. Pepperoni is something like $2.75 now? And the other slices like the pasta slices, chicken caeser slice, buffalo chicken, etc are $3. I don't know why you would have high expectations for a small place like this.. Personally, I enjoyed the hell out of the chicken caeser slices and garlic knots (considering I used to come here all the time during lunch). They have other things such as pasta, burgers, fries, salads, etc on their menu. Their fries are alright, I've tried their fettucine alfredo which was like $11 and plus another few dollars for chicken which was alright. I don't know, I'm not a picky pizza consumer. Their slices are just a tad bit bland (yep! that's why I dump a lot of pepper flakes or parmesan cheese on it) but it's really just fine. They do have a very small parking lot and street parking though so cars are pretty much somewhat in and out. Also, they do have a bunch of chairs + tables inside and it is somewhat spacious! So there's not really much of a seating issue unless you're coming to this place during lunch time on the weekends in which all the high school students all gather up in. Since I moved up to Buffalo (the pizza there is atrocious. I hate it.), I really learned to appreciate this small business so when I came back for winter break, I immediately came here to grab a bite. Don't hype yourself over the pizza. I've ordered from this establishment a few times. Pizza is not bad and delivery is quick. Three star rating is for pricing - their online menu does not match the pricing they give you over the phone. I've mentioned this every time I order and their answer "ah well that's wrong" well, then fix it! Other complaint is the pepperoni - they charge $4.50 for adding to the whole pizza - I wouldn't mind it so much it there where more than two slices of pepperoni on each slice!! Really surprised that there are not more people commenting and rating this one. They have very good pizza and the sauce here is amazing! I love the chicken cutlet parmesan, meatballs, chicken marsala, Penne alla Vodka, the salad with house dressing is great...etc. I took off one star because the pizza is second best to another place in valley stream and because I can never seem to sit down inside to eat here. They do have plenty of seating, but they are always either washing the floors when I go or it's being used as a child care with some very loud and rambunctious children there. I assume they are related to the owner, but it is difficult to enjoy a meal there in that situation. Then, if they are washing floors, the strong cleaner smell ruins the taste of my food. Definitely order food here, but make it "to go"! read more

I have ordered from here several times over the phone and ate in all the times the times the pizza was burnt. Also, it literally tastes like cardboard with cheese on it barely any tomato sauce on the slice it has no flavor whatsoever. The owner is really cheap and nickels and dimes for everything I ordered 10 pies once he was trying to charge me extra for seasonings on the side and for paper plates come on after I ordered 10 pies of this underwhelming pizza really? I've been meaning to check out Family Pizzeria out for awhile now since I pass it all the time on the road. With that said, I never had high expectations; with the generic name and the lack of reviews on here I figured this wasn't exactly a gold mine but sometimes it pays to take chances. Located on the always busy Mill Road, Family Pizzeria is the only pizza place in the immediate area. The little section of stores always seemed out of place but I guess when people want to stop for a bite, this is an option. Parking is irritating because the street parking is always packed by the employees's cars and the private lot doesn't even have any lines drawn in to separate spots. The inside of the place is pretty open. Most pizzerias I've been to tend to be jam packed to the gills with tables but this one could stand to add a couple more. The interior is bright yet plain. It looks clean though with the pizzas and a couple other dishes are on display at the counter. Service was quick enough for my order so I can't really complain on those fronts. Our order was a large pie with garlic knots; an old standard for any pizzeria and gave us a good idea as to what level of quality we're looking at. The presentation seemed nice enough where the cheese wasn't overly runny or salty and the garlic knots appeared a nice plump size. Upon a closer inspection, we were all disappointed. The pizza was in a word, bland. I don't think I've ever eaten a slice of pizza where I didn't taste a single ingredient. The cheese, sauce and bread had a texture but no taste to go along with it; it was literally just made to fill up your belly. Only after applying some garlic powder did the pizza form some kind of a distinguishable flavor. The garlic knots were a tad too greasy and had an over-abundance of garlic to the point that the other flavors were drowned out. Not the worst garlic knots I've ever had but they certainly could have been leaps and bounds better. The price was $14.50, which is average but for what you're paying it doesn't feel that way. With such a bland regular slice, the foundation for the majority of their other slices, its fair to say the rest won't fair much better. A big problem of Family is that they focus on too many different dishes; besides pizza you can get hamburgers, fries, sandwiches, and more. By putting your resources into so many different aspects; unless you have money to burn, you're going to cause more harm than good. Focus on building towards your strengths such as removing the miscellaneous menu items such as burgers (because lets be real here, no one comes to a pizzeria for a burger) and put the money into buying better ingredients so your food has substance and pizazz. This is what separates you from the average pizzeria. Change your act and revamp your recipes and perhaps you'll ascend above the level of mediocrity. read more

I order online from this place hoping that would ensure accurate delivery. WRONG. When I ordered, it said (and did) take 45 minutes for delivery. When my order arrived, they forgot AN ENTIRE ENTREE. When I called to inquire, after 8-10 rings I was met with "please hold". And hold I did. For about 5 minutes. When I got someone on the line, I told them they forgot an entree and sides with my order (dressings and stuff). The kids response was "yeah, we're busy." We're busy? That means you forget to add ketchup packs or utensils to an order NOT MISS AN ENTIRE ENTREE. When I told her about the omission, she said "okay. 30-40 minutes" Unbelievable. The missing entree did arrive in about 15-18 minutes but, STILL MISSING THE EXTRAS. Having had enough dealing with these people on the phone, I have decided that my $35+ dollars (with tip) can be better spent somewhere else. They obviously could not care less about customer service (a discount for waiting an hour and change for a mistake ON THEIR PART might have been nice). Needless to say, I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN and RECOMMEND NO ONE ELSE DOES if they want to have a meal in a reasonable time. By the way, I ordered at 8 o'clock on a Monday. read more

This place is within walking distance from my home. There have been many pizzerias in this location prior to this one, but Family Pizzeria has lasted and for good reason. The food is adequate and reasonably priced and yes they have a lot of items on their menu but they have lots of students coming in from the local h.s. and so having a big menu probably creates more business for them. They are no Ancona's, which is probably Valley Stream's top pizzeria, but Ancona's doesn't deliver which sucks for a pizza place and Family does. I hope they stick around for a while. read more

Alert Alert: Please do not use your bank card over the phone with the children that are helping out at the register. My sister made an order on 5/15/18 and by 5/16/18 Chase Bank contacted her in reference to two charges that they declined. 1. To Verizon to pay a cell phone bill and 2. To purchase airline tickets online. What are the odds that the young girl at the register was asking very prevalent information that is not required to purchase food over the phone. This pizzeria is the worse I've ever been to. I don't understand how any one can screw up pizza but I guess it's possible since I've seen it for myself at this dump. The pizza here is always ice cold even though it is put in a pizza oven which can heat up pizza in under 45 seconds. One time I told them to make sure my pizza is extra hot and they just said ok. Instead the pizza came out cold. Why should I give these idiots my money when they make me cold pizza. I rather spend $3 less at McDonald's and get much better food. The pizza is also super greasy to the point where it's not edible. These people don't respect the students at the local high school who work hard all morning and then have to spend their parents money to get cold pizza. I'm pretty sure there just heating up the pizza before the kids arrive and when they get there they put the pizza in the oven while the oven is off to make it look like they are heating up the pizza even though there not. They probably don't want to spend the gas money to keep the oven on. If you are smart like me you will spend your hard earned money else where. Also this place has a disgusting chemical smell. It's like they spilled detergent everywhere. Why would you want to eat somewhere where your gonna smell cleaning detergent? It's kind of unpleasant to breath in harmful chemicals while your eating. All you should smell is the food you are eating. Also their other food is served cold. I got buffalo wings once and they were ice cold and this is freaking weird considering the fact I had to wait 25 minutes for them and was almost late for school and the guy kept on telling me your wings are coming soon like every 2 minutes and they wouldn't come. Adults who come to this so called pizzeria are treated with respect and are given nice hot food but students are given ice cold greasy burnt crap. One time on the tv they had a show on that had a surgical procedure being done on television. Who wants to watch someone getting cut open while they are eating. My grandparents have a friend who got sick after eating at this dump and now he has to drive almost 3 miles to get pizza at Vincent's. If u want ice cold food this is the place to go. I ORDERED a pizza on Thursday, February 22nd @4pm. This pizzeria is literally 12 minutes away from when I live. After 60 minutes - it's now 5:00pm, my son calls and asked Esmerelda (she answered the phone) where the pizza was as we have been waiting for an hour. She communicated that the delivery guy was out and that we would be getting our pizza in about 15 minutes. It is now 5:45pm and the pizza is STILL NOT HERE. I speak to Esmerelda and she said that they are very busy and that I need to just wait because the pizza guy is out. I asked if she could text or call and find out where he was exactly as now its has been 1 hour and 45 minutes my family has been waiting. GET THIS - her response is " I do not have the delivery guy's number". REALLY??? You do not have an employee of your establishment's contact number????? I passed the phone to my husband because Esmerelda was NOT helpful and offered NO HELP to me the paying customer. We then got a call back staying that there was NO ticket for our order placed. I told them, there had to be b/c Esmerelda told my son that the pizza would be here in 15 minutes. I will NEVER EVER order from them again. The staff that they have there are RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.
