Ordered a pie to be delivered, asked for it well done and they definitely delivered. Now I cannot speak of the ambience as I haven't been in person yet or a majority of their food considering I've only had a well done regular pie, but it was a very good pie. The only thing I wish was that the sauce had a bit more flavor. We had to use garlic powder, red crushed pepper and oregano to give it some more flavor. But overall this is a great football pie. I would like to try a lot more of their slices so I'll provide an update once I do try more. read more

Quality Pizza is Bellerose/Floral Park!! There are many pizza shop around the area but Vaccaro's Pizza is made with quality and love. I work and live in the area and always pass Vaccaro Pizza but finally came in for a quick bite. I must say, I absolutely love the two plain slices, they were thin crust, sauce was flavorful and it was cheesy. You can taste the quality of their pizza. The gentleman was pleasant and polite. We got mozzarella sticks, two regular pizza slices, and an order of penne a la vodka. The penne had a really nice flavor. The vodka sauce was creamy, well-seasoned, and comforting. The pizza totally gave us flashbacks of grabbing slices in the city after a night out dancing. Piping hot, cheesy, and classic. The mozzarella sticks were fried perfectly. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, and the marinara sauce was a standout. It was robust and flavorful. Gotta be homemade or close to it. My only complaint? Solid local pizza spot. Ordered a Sicilian pie and a coal fired pie. The Sicilian pie had a nice crust and generous amounts of sauce and cheese. The sauce was a little sweet but good. The coal fired pie had prosciutto and truffle oil and had some nice leoparding on the crust. We went straight to this place right after few hours stay on the beach as we get hungry. Can't believe that I have never visited this neighborhood pizzeria. I am bad. :) Hubby and I ordered a 12 in pie of one of their brick oven specialty pizza- Rustico which is made of mushooms, prosciutto, goat cheese, sun-dried tomato & garlic for $12.95. It was worth the wait. The crust is thin and crusty but chewy. The veggies are perfectly cooked. My hubby tried their in-house beer and delighted of the taste. Our waiter was quick, funny and helpful. The place is clean and welcoming. It is a wonderful place to hang-out , a pizzeria of its own class. Stumbled upon this place by accident after Belmont day. It was late, our group couldn't agree on anything and we had trains to catch. We found this place on a corner road and I couldn't be happier!!! It looked like they were closing down but the owner said he was happy to stay open and cook. Not heat things up, but make our food from scratch!!! I'm so glad he did. Our group of 5 was thrilled with the food. Salad, shrimp sub and 3 kinds of pasta. Also a caprese salad to start. The Caprese was good, the tomatos were delicious, I could have gone for some more vinegar. I also tried the carbonara. Not as good as Italy but well cooked, flavorful and rich. Yum. Now my pasta was heavenly. The noodles put Rome's to shame they were so well cooked and the sauce was just delicious. No metallicky jar sauce here! The addition of goat cheese made it creamy and coated my mouth with richness. In fact, I now add goat cheese to my sauce at home just before serving! This pasta was also amazing cold the next morning at 6 am in the cab to the airport. Next time I'm at Belmont, all the suckers can head to the city, I'm headed here. read more

After a seeing the review from barstool sports, I decided to check it out thinking maybe Umbertos and Gino's of New Hyde Park may have some competition. The guy had little to no patience and was screaming at me saying they don't take credit cards over the phone. I grew up in Bellerose. I remember this place when it used to be called "Tilly's." My old neighbor and I went with her baby to have lunch. The minute I had a slice of pizza all the great memories from my childhood re-emerged. The pizza dough was thin and crispy slightly chewy - just perfect. The chicken Caesar salad was $11 but definitely worth it. The chicken breast was grilled just right not too dry and went well with their Caesar dressing. This place is a gem in a great neighborhood. Love supporting local small businesses and Vaccaro's is no exception. Small, simple and straight to the point menu. There's something about their spaghetti marinara that we just keep going back for more (almost once a week!)...my 4 yr old picky eater son can scarf two bowls worth of it! We just moved to the area and this place is right up the block. We came here for dinner one night a little before 7:30pm on Friday the 13th. No one greeted us. After sitting for about 5 minutes the first waitress comes over and tells us we can't order anything other than pizza because the kitchen is too busy. I came there for pasta, so I was annoyed by that. We had to get up and order slices. When the second waitress came over I asked her if I called and ordered would I be able to order pasta. She said no the kitchen is closed for orders. Keep in mind, it was a about 7:30pm. Other people people seated were getting pasta, in all fairness, they had already ordered. It was just weird. The waitresses were not friendly. And the pizza was just ok. After we left, I called to see if I can order pasta, just to see if the kitchen was closed. And the were taking orders. Wtf? Why wouldn't you take an order from a customer seated in your restaurant? I haven't been back. My kids like the place, but I think we'll start order and eating at a different place. read more

The food is mediocre; The chicken in the salads are kinda dry & sometimes the pizza is kept in the oven just enough for the crust to get a little too crunchy for my taste. This is not about their food which is ok...nothing to write home about. The customer service from BOTH guys behind the count sucks. I went there with my 2 year old son who is playful and happy child. I placed a $50 order. Those whole time I'm waiting for the remainder of my order I'm ignored when I tried small talk which was mainly asking about his business since I was never there before. When it came time to pay my son grabbed the pen from me and started to play with it. Mind you no one else is there, he nastily said I need that. I figured he was having a bad day and chalked it up as such. Went back a second time because it was convenient on the way home, $40 order this time and again the same crap. I was face to face asking him a question about a pasta choice I was going to add when he turned around made a joke to his coworker and just walked away from me. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!!
