This was my first time ordering from Chef Gigi's, and I opted for Delivery, as they had a great promotion. The first thing worth celebrating: the delivery time was accurate to the minute! I thought, "There's no way it will be here by then..." and I was right on time. Kudos for time management, efficiency and accuracy! All 3 pizzas were phenomenal: Salsiccia Pizza, Prosciutto E Funghi Pizza and Pizza Cacio E Pepe. The flavor and freshness of the ingredients shine, and it's a revelatory experience to have them combine once you bite into a slice. My favorite was the Prosciutto E Funghi, very closely followed by the Salsiccia Pizza. The toppings don't distract from the rest of the pizza; and the sausage was savory and perfectly crumbled. I've ordered delivery from this restaurant on two separate occasions, and both times more than half of my order was missing. I'm not referring to missing toppings or a forgotten side -- I'm talking about entire personal pizzas and full orders of wings that I paid for but never received. The first time, I assumed it was a busy night and gave the benefit of the doubt after calling the restaurant. However, the second time it happened, I called again and was shocked by the response. I was told, "Then don't order here anymore." I was taken aback by the blatant disrespect. I paid in full both times for what should have been a complete order and instead received less than half of what I was expecting -- and now, on top of that, I'm being told not to return? We had an incredible pizza with Tuscan Boar prosciutto and an arugula salad with fried burratta. Then we had lobster stuffed tortelloni with Sicilian red shrimp! Yum. To top it off Gigi made us a special dish with Tuscan pici pasta with a prosciutto and a gold sauce ( tomato and butter) and green parmesan (basil added to 24 month aged cheese) and cracked black pepper. Forget this place. Ordered delivery online directly through the restaurant's website last-night at 8:22pm and received a text notification from Farina00 That said, "This is Farina 00 Your order will be ready for delivery today at 8:47 PM. If you have any problems, please call +15166734630." It also said, "Sent by Owner" At 8:59pm I got a notification that they cancelled the order. I called at 9pm and they wouldn't answer. We could have ordered from one of the 2 the pizza places on my street tonight, but decided to try something different. Now our go-to spots are both closed too and we're starving with nothing for dinner. This was so rude and unprofessional of this restaurant. Ever since actor Stanley Tucci took a gastronomic tour of Italy and sampled The Four Pastas of Rome, I have been doing my own Roman culinary odyssey right here on Long Island Chef Gigi specializes in making the Four Pastas of Rome, not just "Naples Street Food". I recently devoured his intensely-flavored Pasta alla Gricia, which was made with heaping tablespoonfuls of guanciale and Pecorino Romano. I will be back soon to try his new version of Cacio e Pepe: Fettuccini Cacio e Pepe with pistachio crumbs and black truffle. Everything sounded wonderful and I wished I could try it all. We had a calzone which had much more filling than any I'd ever ordered, fat spaghetti pasta with the whole through the middle with a 3 meat tomato sauce, and a brick oven pizza with tomato sauce, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella. I couldn't tell you which I liked best. Everything was great!!! The servers are knowledgeable and friendly and the chef comes out of the kitchen to see how you like his food. If I had to guess, it's all one family. I rarely give 5 stars. In fact, it's almost never. This restaurant though, deserves 5 stars. The only negative I have is that the seating area is much too small. There are probably not more than 10 tables. Most are for 2 with a couple that could seat 4. This place is fantastic! Came here for a yelp elite event and have been here two more times in four days because the food is so delicious. We've tried a few different things. The pizza that we had had tomatoes and I think Buffalo cheese and it was delicious. The tomato sauce with a little sweet tart not like typical tomato sauce you get another Italian places. It was good and I had a really good crust on the pizza. My mother got the caccio e Pepe and loved it so much! My daughter also loved it. When she got it tonight it definitely had more pepper in it compared to the previous time and my mother was sweating because it had so much heat from the pepper. The Cesar salad was huge. My parents, daughter, and I shared it! Delicious! I forget with pasta I had what was called, but it had twisty pasta with sausage. It was in a cream sauce and it was amazing. The sausage was extremely flavorful. My dad also had the stash but he had it without the cream sauce and he loved it also. My mother also tried the eggplant appetizer. She said it was huge and quite delicious and she's looking forward to getting it again. My mother is going back on keto and she said it was great because there was no breading on the eggplant. The dishes served with bread but you just don't eat it if you're going to try keto. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars is because it is so tiny. It's also kind of loud when there is a lot of people inside because you're so cramped. But this is not gonna stop us from going back it's not gonna stop us from getting takeout because the food is fantastic and I completely recommend it. Plus the chef is so incredibly nice.
