This past winter was our first winter in the house and we were so pleased that the house was extremely well constructed and energy efficient. Building a house from a far can cause some problems, but DFC did an excellent job of keeping us informed on progress and problems through regular communication and lots of pictures. The quality of sub contractors hired by DFC was fantastic and they had a very good working relationships with all the trades. Once the house was completed, DFC and all of the subcontractors were very responsive in helping us get the "smart" home up and running.

It took him a month to return my call but that didn't bother me because anything construction related is so much in demand right now, I was just happy to get a call back. Plus it worked out timing wise because when he returned my call, I was ready for the countertop portion of my project. Jaymes was quick to come over and take measurements and he recommend a few places for me to look at slabs. The next day, I had a slab picked out and he sent me the estimate. Once I paid the deposit, he had the countertops installed within 2.5 weeks. The turnaround time amazes me because I was expecting it to take at least a mont, again because of all the construction needs right now. I was not completely happy with the installation crew. They told me they were going to have to make a seams down the middle of the counter and backsplashes, which surprised me because Jaymes had told me the seams would only be in the corners. But after speaking to Jaymes about not being satisfied with multiple visible seams, he was able to accommodate my requests and put the seams in the corners. Also, the installation crew dented a cabinet while they were installing. The handles that were installed later covered the dent up so, no harm. Overall, I am very happy with the quick turnaround and the quality of the work. Jaymes did a great job lining up the grain patterns on the slabs so the backsplash matched the direction of the countertop. I would definitely use Stone Creation again and Jaymes was very easy to work with.

B&T had taken the job from the seller but had not completed the job at closing. I was told that B&T Construction would be able to complete the job in a few days and they were pre-paid for the job. My experience with B&T/Nikolai Travis was extremely poor, I expected B&T to quickly replace the screens so we could use the house we purchased. Rather than being treated as a customer I was treated as a nuisance. Every step of the way, it was me asking them about the status of the project(project? It was replacing 5 screens!) What was supposed to be done before the 4th of July stretched into the 2nd week of July and then end of July. As of today Sep 9, 10 weeks after closing the job has not been completed. Nikolai knew the screens were critical for us as there is no A/C in the house and the windows need to be opened at night to let the house cool off. However, without screens there were dozens of flying bugs coming into the house every evening. After weeks and weeks of delays someone from their team came out to install the screens. There were only 3 screens installed, one was installed in the wrong window. A 4th screen was left on the ground and there was one screen missing! To this day the job is not complete and have not received a single piece of information as to what went wrong and when they will be able to replace the missing screen.

John & Stephanie took me through the entire project with such professionalism & care, I feel truly lucky to have found them. I was going to do the roof & the deck but John told me that the roof didn't need to be completely re-done and only 1 of my 2 decks needed work. He could have just "sold" me the new roof & both decks but was honest in his evaluation of my property. His integrity is beyond reproach. I ended up replacing only my top deck and ended up doing 2 bathrooms instead (along with replacing the necessary tiles on my roof). Since I am in a HOA, John worked with the association to get the proper decking & color to comply with their guidelines. It was seamless. He replaced the top deck completely and secured everything on the 2nd deck. He made it safe & sound and good for years to come. I took 2 bathrooms down to the studs. Thank goodness I did since dry rot was found. John kept me up to date and let me know of any hiccups. As others have mentioned, he helped me with suggestions that ranged from where to look for tile, toilets, etc to helping me with suggestions for the bathrooms. He was patient when I would change my mind on things (i.e. I decided on one color for the bathrooms but it looked just awful once it was on the walls so I picked out a new color and they repainted them for me). The work of his team is extraordinary! I had wainscoting put on the walls - the tile "flows" and the gentleman who installed it is a true artist. They laid plastic on all the carpets to avoid dirt and grime to take care of the rest of the house. As I was doing this, unfortunately I had 2 floods due to the snow from this past season. He discovered it one morning and instantly went into action to drain the water from the house, find where it was coming from & got to work fixing the problem (draining the water, opening the walls, putting industrial fans in the rooms). They were both insurance issues and Holm stepped up and helped me with that too! Talking to the adjuster, getting me separate invoices for the work, etc. This unexpected fiasco could have been a nightmare!! But John came to my rescue and stepped up to help. It was completely unexpected and not in the scope of work that I had contracted with them but he had my back and I can't begin to tell you how much his efforts, help & kindness saved the day. They are busy! I did have to wait "my turn" and that took about 4 months but well worth the wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a reason they have a waiting list, their work is beyond reproach! They are up front with their pricing. Nothing is ambiguous - no hidden fees. They will bend over backwards to help their client. I feel so lucky to have come across them. I will definitely be using them again for any future projects. I can't thank John & Stephanie enough - incredible people, phenomenal work & an A+ company! Incline is lucky to have you guys.

Knowing I was going to need to find an engineer with water/flood experience, I began to ask around for recommendations. A local business owner who built his business near a river recommended Robison engineering to me and specifically, he recommended Nathan. I emailed the company from their website, described the issues on my land and said I would like to work with Nathan if possible because he was recommended highly. I received an email back within hours from Nathan saying he'd be happy to work with me and help get the water issues and concerns under control. I was shocked to see Nathan's last name in the email -Robison. Not only did Nathan respond to my email quickly and agree to help, he is the owner of the company! I was not expecting that at all.
