Bottom Line Up front, After spending 20k on the floor, kitchen and cabinet. The work completed is below average. Wife decide to get the new tile floor with zero grout guide. The tile look very uneven and the floor molding look very ugly. Regarding the cabinet, they tore up the electrical conduet when they take out the cabinet. The plumbing from the bathroom and kitchen was left incomplete when they put in the new cabinet. The cabinet guy took all the old plumbing from the sink in the bathroom and kitchen. So, we had to buy at new stuff. Also the island was not nail down to the floor. Regarding the countertop, they left the molding under the countertop and near the wall incomplete. We have to hire handyman to reinstall the electrical and plumbing. we still have to hire a stucco guy to finish the wall and molding. When I try to contact Dario ( the owner). He never call me back. Anyways, I recommend that you do your homework before dealing with this business. They want money ahead which would kill the deal for me. But my wife drive this boat so I am stuck with the bill. Merchandise: We ordered room carpet, backsplash, & patio pavers. The merchandise quality is excellent and they have so many choices. The showroom is superior & it is easy to shop & get an idea of how the products can fit into your space. Cost: I should have run out of the door when they tried to charge me $1200 for the 2nd bedroom carpet. I showed them a Lowes add--$799 with installation. They balked & then said they'd match the price. Installation: I also ordered patio pavers & the installation quotes kept changing $500 and then $700, etc. Lowes charged $400. Wait Time: They told me the backsplash & paver orders would be available within 30 days. The backsplash took 6-months & another glitch. The pavers took 1-year. I tried to pick up the pavers the same time I picked up the backsplash, but the salesmen talked me into paying for installation. Review: Even during difficulties, we are professional people & we treat everyone with professionalism & respect in order to come to a mutual understanding or conclusion. It was a less than professional experience. So, if you expect professionalism, courteous services, rapid response, honesty, & great deals beyond what you can find at retail stores, this is not the flooring store for you. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing carpet, backsplash, & pavers. Instead of getting our merchandise, we received a $1400.00 refund for both the pavers & installation. We took the backsplash home & we're hiring our own installer. Damages: The carpet installer damaged my home because he tried to carry the large carpet up the stair by himself. We had to have a handyman repair all the damage the carpet installer did to our home, i.e., walls, molding, door stops. Customer Service: The owners wife was aggressive and defensive when I tried to resolve the situation. She yelled & screamed in the phone & then hung up the phone. "We have been tryin to call you, but we didn't get you." I emailed a message on their website with my contact info & asked them not to call my cell because I am in class til 3 p.m. & I could not answer. I gave them my home number & guess what number they called. Yep, my cell. We love the products so we were willing to wait for the new installers. The sales person really wanted use to pay the installation for both the backsplash & pavers, but we were no longer comfortable letting them inside our home. I am reposting this review with updated pictures taken today because the last pictures were not "up-to-date" enough for the owner. Apparently, the fact that they had to come back to try and finish the horrendous job they did less than a year ago in the first place is not enough of a red flag. Pictures 1-3 are for bathroom number 1 and pictures 4-6 are for bathroom number 2. Picture 7 is the original response I received where the owner finds it necessary to berate and insult my mother. You said the job was done 18 months ago? WRONG picture 8 shows when the contract was signed 7/8/21 and you still didn't come for a month because you didn't have the materials you needed. You said my mother got other quotes? WRONG D'Best was the only place she went to. Folks this is what $14,000 will get you from D'Best! A few shower tiles, bathtub and a new floor! Nothing else! No mirror, no sink, nothing else! Good try attempting to blame the calking issue on the cleaning agents being used THE BATHROOM HAS NOT BEEN USED DUE TO THE TERRIBLE STATE IT IS IN AND HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED AS A RESULT. It doesn't surprise me you would refuse to take accountability, you're more interested in trying to argue than you are in proving yourself to be a true professional. On top of it all, you also seriously struggle with reading comprehension so your responses don't quite make sense. I have been searching high and low to find a place that sells decent priced tile for my entertainment room and despite the light up signs they have outside and all the stickers promising you 49 cents per square ft is an all out LIE plain and simple. When you go into the store and ask for the tile, guess what? "We're out of that right now, but we have this beautiful 18x18 at only 2.99" .... Are you kidding me?!?! They're out of the product they've got advertising in neon lights but they want to turn around and sell me a "substitute" at five times the price? AND!!!! That's not including installation. That turned me off for a start but I decided to take a look around anyway since I had bothered to drive out this far. All of the tile ranges from 1.99 + The only "SALE" tile they had was for like 1.19 and it was in very limited quantities, not even enough for a small room. Oh and the workers here will totally be on your tail trying to pressure you to buy this extremely overpriced tile and sometimes while one of them was talking, he would in mid sentence turn away and just start talking to someone else, or looking at his watch when I spoke so at one point I turn around and say: "I don't want to commit to anything; I'm just browsing since the 49 cent tile is not available, if I see something else that interests me, you'll be the first to know." The guy actually scoffed in my face and walked away!!!! We purchased 1200 SQ feet of quality flooring and all materials required to install the product. First impression of the store and service was outstanding. We were able to walk the store floor and look without pressure or someone looking over our back. Once we found the product the owner was quick to provide immediate feedback to all our questions and help us pick the required materials to have a successful install. Every time we entered the store we were met with a friendly greeting and immediately provided any service / help we needed. the customer service and warehouse personnel were there to provide expert advice and help. After install we had materials remaining and we took them back to D'Best and this outstanding staff happily received our excess and immediately initiated a refund on the spot. The two ladies (the Maria's)in Customer Service absolutely provided the best and most sincere interaction I have ever experienced. They showed me what true customer service was supposed to look like. I purchased 2 rooms of carpeting/padding to be installed. They broke 4 of my 13" tiles surrounding the living room and told me AFTER they had broken them. They proceeded to bring the padding in for the bedroom, left it on the floor, and they said that they would return in 48 hrs. to install the bedroom carpet. The padding was soiled, stinky and disintegrated. Where did this padding even come from? With Covid-19 on the rise and my wife being a heart patient, I realized that it was too much of a risk to deal with this company, as they are untrustworthy and are indeed an embarrassment. If I could give you zero i would customer service after work isn't installed properly is horrible they is no accountability for poor workmanship other than we can try to fix it. And watch out for that cancellation fee it's a bitch of 35%. After first remodel of my kids bathroom is a complete and utter Shit job I canceled my master bathroom and they said I would have to pay that fee so I lost 1700$ but they can lie about excellent work and get away with it. I should have none from the beginning they really don't have any real pictures to demonstrate their work and the fact that you have to pay in full before they even start is bull. I always like to start with the positive - the sales pitch was top notch (by the owner). He went as far to promised that if I was not happy with the work/tile installation, it will be completely redone; so NOT TRUE. That's it. Now it's all downhill once you've paid. I could have avoided so much grief and frustration if I had read the reviews posted on Yelp before hiring these folks. I too agree and experienced most of the negative comments from my fellow yelpers so I won't repeat myself. The lack of communication, follow-up, honesty and professionalism is/was painful and to boot, the finished work is just OK. I find the response from the store manager laughable and untrue; this business is not BBB Accredited. Sadly they have a way of skewing the truth, with selective memory and justifying every single issue that you bring up. As far as they are concern, it's the customer's fault. However, due to my research analyst background/mentality, I have written down, every conversation with times, people, dates and discussion. Hopefully, these reviews will bring about an aha moment to this organization, where training (communication, listening, follow-up, empathy, honesty, proactive, solution oriented, excellence mindset skills, etc) will be provided and enforced to all employees, including the owner/s. I just had new tile put in throughout my entire house. It wasn't easy as they had to pull up all my old tile. What a beautiful job they did. They worked hard every day and it looks gorgeous. I also had new kitchen cabinets put in with granite counter tops and backsplash. It turned out wonderfully. They also took down wallpaper in two rooms and redid my fireplace with new tile. They answered all my questions and took every phone call. Dario, his wife Maria and Henry were wonderful and helped me with anything I needed and wanted. A rack fell in one of my closets and they put it back up for me even though it wasn't in my contract. They fixed a toilet that was leaking. Also not in my contract. I'm very pleased with the final job. I shopped around and they had the best price compared to two other stores. I recommend them to anyone who wants a facelift to their home. Very happy!!! read more

We had a terrific experience having laminate installed in our home. Our budget was tight and the timeframe to get the floor installed was limited. They totally came through for us. I can't say enough about how easy Leo was to work with. He was able to provide us with options they had in stock in our price range. I also can't express how amazing the install crew was. paid for cabinets in 10/28/17 didn't get them install until mid January 2018 because every time they came the Sales person Dan had taken wrong measures and cabinets were wrong size. Dario was very unprofessional didn't step in until the end after I reported them on BBB and channel 9 news. Now my granite looks like it has scratches and stains. called Dario 3 wks ago and the issue is still not resolve even though you have 1 yrs guarantee. No one has come home to look at it. He straight face and all said he gave me a great price, NO YOU THOUGHT I WAS OLD AND STUPID. They not only give one of the best pricing but also quality of products is absolutely best !! I had a huge project with very tight time constraints on tile floors downstairs, carpet upstairs, baseboards all over, kitchen cabinets and granite counter tops. They dropped off old, disgusting, padding that was stained, torn, and looked secondhand. Their unskilled installers also broke multiple tiles! Their joke of a manage offered to replace the padding, but why continue with a business that's untrustworthy and unskilled in the first place? For any of those that believe D'Best Floorz & More will provide you with great service, be prepared for a long haul battle. On August 12th I bought a set of cabinets from D'Best store, and from the first appointment that was made, the experience was terrible. No one showed up. And thus started a continuous monotonous habit of missed appointments. I went to complain with the owner Dario Hernandez in person twice over this issue, and both times he made excuses, refused to abide by the contract refund policy, revised and created new contracts, and still nothing was done. The only time the installers did showed up was nothing short of disastrous. Instead of using a stud finder they made holes in the wall with a pencil...! When the wall cabinets were installed they left big gaps between the ceiling and the cabinets. When they noticed that some of the cabinets weren't corresponding to the design, they wanted to modify the cabinets to fit the kitchen! At which point I stopped them and told them that wasn't what I had paid for. They told me they would come back the next day with the corresponding cabinets. However, wasn't surprised when no one showed. By September even more continuous excuses followed. Apparently the SALESMAN had a family emergency so the INSTALLERS couldn't show up to finish the job? Everyone knew Hurricane Irma was coming and they still made appointments for the week before? Just not to show up. He also had 23 long days before a hurricane had even formed! What's his excuses for those days? By November I contacted BBB, and Dario's attitude completely changed. He communicated with me, set up an appointment to have the cabinets and granite installed, and the installers actually showed up with the missing cabinets and finally started to finish the job... about 95% finished. Although the cabinets were installed, it wasn't the greatest installation by any means. The installers scratched much of the furniture, install them wrong, and when we asked for the last missing back panel and for a replacement on a warrantied broken cabinet (which has obvious manufacturer defect) the installer said he would bring it the very next day. And that's when Dario's old habit kicked in. No one showed up and he refused to provide the back panel as well as replacing the cabinet. He then proceeded to write to BBB with continuous excuses, as well as texting us that he would never do business with us even if we wrote to Trump himself with a complaint, that if I wanted to sue I was welcomed to do so. This brings me to today, I am now looking at my legal options since warranty laws have been broken, as well as warn as many people as possible to his way of handling business. I called regarding a tile, they didn't have enough for what I needed and offered to call the other store for me to see if they had any of the tile I wanted. they tried but couldn't reach them. they said they would try the next day and would call me. I ended up calling them since I didn't hear back. They stated they still couldn't reach them but should be able to the next morning. The next day came and no call back. I waited until late afternoon to call them for a status. This time they stated they didn't have any. I did complain but the impression I got was they weren't to worried about losing my business since they have plenty of customers. read more

Good price, good work when they complete it, but horrible customer service and follow-through. Advice: Be present when they install. Only pay partial deposit upfront. They ask for the remainder before installation, but DON'T pay them the remainder until the job is done (this is how must companies do it). Inform them of this before you make deposit because they have you sign this 1 page contract that they like to point to. Lastly, use a credit card. If things go south and they don't want to complete the job, dispute the charge. BBB ratings are for complaints that BBB needs to get involved with...D'Best has 8. If it's like my story and my in-laws and the other people on here...if you're persistent you eventually resolve without needing to make a BBB complaint. But it's not a good experience. Now for my story if you still wish to read: We purchased carpet for 4 bedrooms in our house. The rest of our house we had laminate already there. We looked around at other stores and found D'Best to be the cheapest. So we moved forward and they sent someone out to measure. They hire third-party contractors as many places do to install. They installed when we were at work. We paid deposit in store and remainder when they arrived to install. When we came home every room threshhold had a cement gap between carpet to laminate (no transitions were installed) and the master bedroom carpet was cut too short leaving an even larger gap. After several messages with no returned calls I showed up in store to request someone to come fix it. There was a lot of back and forth. D'Best blaming us that we didn't tell them we needed transitions (didn't even know what those were but their measurer should have known). The installer didn't want to return to fix it so they had to send the store installation manager. Time frame to get it fixed...1 month. And they even wanted to charge me to send him out. During the entire process they made excuses and passed blame. Very unprofessional. So if you're going with them, follow my advice above. read more
