I've been coming to this salon on and off for years -- not for the owner, but for the few stylists who actually know what they're doing when it comes to blondes. I made the mistake of trusting the so-called "master colorist" after not touching my hair for an entire year. Huge regret. For $280, I expected professional results -- not brassy, uneven, yellow-toned hair that clearly shows in every filtered photo posted. Filters won't hide the lack of skill. If you're a stylist and a client sits in your chair asking for a service outside your level -- just say so. There's no shame in turning down work that's not in your wheelhouse. I thought I was going to be a lifetime client at this salon; however, I recently had a disheartening experience. I had made my usual appointment for root touchup and highlights. From what I recall, that's what the owner was working on. However, when the time came to pay, the owner charged me double of what I usually pay. I was taken aback, but did not question it in front of other clients. A day later, I reached out to the owner and asked her the reasons for the increase in price and she stated that she decided to do a process that I had not requested and also took it upon herself to use a product which I was charged $50 for without my consent. I indicated to her that I had made an appointment for a specific service, not a service she decided to do. She indicated that due to inflation, she had to raise the prices for the product, which by the way, I would have not consented to since I have many of the products at home. Instead of offering best business practice to make it right, she simply said, I will let you know what I will be doing, next time. Unfortunately, there won't be a next time since this is not only unprofessional, but wrong since I was charged double what I usually pay for my service, plus tip. I write this not to bash the salon or owner because she does great work, but to make you aware that it is important for you to confirm that you are getting and paying for the service you requested and to confront and address it when you are there. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I can't even tell you how good the hair color/cut was, I never received any. I scheduled my appointment online for 10:45am on a Saturday. I had plans in the afternoon, but that was the earliest available. In the confirmation email, they said to arrive 10 minutes early. So I arrived at 10:35. I was told it would be just a few minutes and to have a seat in the waiting area. About 20 minutes passed and another woman came in. She was told to sit, and about 5 minutes later, she was taken back. I still hadn't been acknowledged by a stylist. Finally 10 or so minutes after that, a stylist finally asked what I was coming for. I told her color, cut and style. She asked what color. I said back to my natural (brown) color. She said "ok, it will be a few more minutes" L10 more minutes later a different stylist came out and asked me, again, what I was there for. I told her the same. She got swatches. I thought "finally" we picked a color and she said "a few more minutes" Well I waited "a few more minutes" until 11:45. And walked out the door. With the same hair I walked in with. Completely unprofessional to keep a client waiting over an hour. Especially a new client. I will never go back, and I suggest you find somewhere else to get your hair done. read more

They don't honor appointment times at all. Waited hours after my appointment time, just to have my scalp clawed and scratched so hard while having my hair washed. The lady blow drying my hair didn't know what she was doing, my hair was getting tangled in the brush. I could write so much more but I don't want to remember it anymore. This review is a long time coming as I really don't like to be negative... I went to this salon on the advice of friend. I wanted a big chop to my bra strap length, naturally curly 3c hair. The person who referred me got their hair cut here and their curl pattern/texture is tighter/thicker than mine so I was led to believe the stylist knew her way around natural hair. I get in the owners chair and tell her what I want and show her pictures, she fingers through my hair and has her daughter take pics, she then grabs half of my hair and cuts a ponytail amount off, from there she sends me to get my hair washed by someone else and then she leaves. WTF?!? She was gone for close to an hour but I couldn't leave if I wanted to with one half of my hair cut off. She finally returns and she starts working on someone else. When I finally get in the chair I'm still confident that she knows what she's doing. She blows my hair out without incident and then starts cutting, from there she flat irons my hair. I have not been able to see any of what she's done thus far as my back is to the mirror. Once she's done flat ironing she goes back in with the scissors, then plays around in it, then back to the scissors, more playing, repeat. I'm sweating now. Something clearly aint right. After what seems like forever she sheepishly turns the chair around to reveal her work. I look in the mirror and am near tears. There is no point in going off on her as the damage is done and there is nothing she can do to fix it and i just want to get out as soon as possible. Long story short and the moral of the story: She did a horrible job on my hair and if she was not comfortable/experienced with styling/cutting my texture of hair she should have gracefully declined to do it. Doing natural afro textured hair is not one of those things you can fake until you make it. read more

I went for a bob with layers and a shampoo and i got kind of a rough shampooing, a wonderfully quick cut, and unfortunately a rather painful cleanup on my neck with trimmers. I said nothing because I thought I was being overly sensitive but my neck was on fire that night and the next day i could feel a straight scabby line where the trimmer had cut me. I don't understand why I was cut! Did the trimmer not have a guard? I'm debating whether to come back or find another place to get a cut. read more

After being a loyal customer for 2 years I got shafted on the day of my wedding and the owner (who said she'd come to my wedding with her sister to touch up my make-up and hair) never showed. My 1st visit I wanted extensions to give me volume. I ordered the hair there, and Gladis applied the extensions. I told her I wanted volume, instead she gave me length. Still I decided to give them another shot, so my next visit I wanted really dark low lights, Gladis again did my hair and it wasn't dark enough, very unnoticeable. I gave them 3rd chance because it's close to home and this time I wanted Roseanna, the owner, to do my hair. I wanted to lighten my dark hair and cut it. I even bought a picture and she can't style hair either, it wasn't lighten to the color I wanted, but she can cut hair. The owner didn't even tell me lightening my hair was going to be a 2 step process, that would of been useful information. Never again. That salon is very understaffed. They say they're a spa but they don't even have a person to do nails, facials, waxes or massages. Oh and they like to talk Spanish to trash other customers. Little do they know I talk Spanish and they were talking bad about me and other people.
