I highly recommend D.J Capps Glass. The owner, Dave, was an absolute lifesaver. My husband and I came home to find our bedroom window smashed by thieves. We were lucky that nothing was taken, but it's terrible to have to sleep in a house with the window completely gone, worrying that the bad guys might come back. I called several glass companies the next day, but no one could come out immediately to help us. One of those companies suggested I call Capps (which shows that they are respected by others in their industry). Dave himself came out at the end of his work day with an assistant. He explained due to the rain, trying to immediately replace the glass would be unwise, since it wouldn't cure properly. He and his helper put a board very neatly into the missing pane area, and also finished the cleanup of broken glass that I had started (without me even asking or expecting it). Dave ordered new glass the next morning and came to install it quickly. His work is impeccable, and fairly priced to boot. But where he really shined was in helping up feel safe after a frightening event. He could have brush us off, like the other companies. These guys came in, measured everything, and stated they would return in few weeks. They did, and within a few hours had the failed double pane glass replaced with brand new...and it looked brand new! Had a double pane bedroom window that smashed pretty bad (had been dropped when cleaning the windows). Got ahold of Capps Glass and took the window over to be repaired, assuming they would only change the one pane, but they changed out both panes and fixed the interior seals. the window looks good as new and the cost, well, i wish i had more broken windows to send his way because his costs are more than fair. will definately use them again should the need arise and anxious to refer my friends to Capps if they need glass repair. D.J Capps has replaced all my windows when I first purchased our house 29 years ago. Then we remodeled and they put in all the new windows we wanted in the new home. In addition, they did all the glass mirrors in the bathroom, put vintage glass in all my kitchen cabinets and their has never been a problem. I had the misfortune of having to replace my very large semi round front window. Being in the trade ( plumbing ) myself I got 3 estimates and hired DJ Capps. They were not only the least expensive but very professional and courteous to boot. Because the new glass had to meet the new building code it had to be "safety glass" so they made an exact template of the old glass and in a couple of days were back with my new pane and in two hours had the old glass out new glass installed cleaned and complete. After i made an appointment i received a phone call saying they called my office and i was not there. This was forty five minites after the set time.. I told the estimator i was not in my office because i was at home waiting for them to show up forty five minites earlier. When i called there office the next day the owner gave me the impression that i did something wrong, To make a long story short, when the estimator did come he told me a would receive a quote the next day, Four days lator im still waiting.
