Recently had a window panel repaired at Pace Glass. They had to order the glass but it took under a week and the price was fair.

I contacted Pace Glass to replace my shattered patio door glass. Ray came to measure the replacement door glass, then less than a week later, the new glass was delivered. Ray and Michael were punctual and worked together to replace the patio door glass. They were professional and careful with the heavy glass. During and after their work, they vacuumed up every speck of broken glass and thoroughly cleaned their work area. My home experienced 2 glass breakages in recent months - a sliding glass patio door and a beautiful ceiling-to-floor French door - both through no fault of my own. Pace personnel were on-site within a day to assess damage, take measurements, and recommend replacements. Needed to replace two glass shelves 15"x14"x 1/4" in a wall unit visible from both sides. Got a price from Brian on the phone for $65 for both shelves. Took one old shelf that I was replacing as an example of what I needed so there would be no question about what I wanted. Brian said I should have the edges polished for an additional $50 so the new shelves would match the existing. Came back a day later to pick up. The new shelf edges looked nothing like the polished edges on my old shelf that I had brought in as an example. Looked like the polishing was done with a belt sander of a sort. Discussing and resolving this issue with Brian was fruitless. I would never go back to this store. Over priced and poor workmanship. read more

Sadly, I purchased a 7 drawer dresser with three mirrored drawers on top. Upon arrival and unpacking the piece, the middle drawer mirror was cracked. I tried to contact the company to get a replacement drawer, but this was during COVID 19 and staffing / customer service was at a minimum, so it was difficult to get resolution or even for someone to call me back. I attempted to contact the manufacturer and although I was able to reach them, they advised me that the style I had purchased had been discontinued................ I was really discouraged and upset because I purchased the whole bedroom set! I figured I had to go a different route, I took a picture of the damage, emailed it to 6 local glass / mirror companies for repair quotes. Pace Glass came in first in terms of response, price,and turnaround time for completion. They are close to my work so I dropped the drawer off with them and was told a week. I was called less than a week later, that it was ready for pickup. I was extremely happy with their work, it looked great. So although I had to come out of pocket for the cost of repair, I was really grateful that Pace came in with a terrific price and quality work. I will use them again for sure. Thank you! read more

Once again the silicon was filled with mold, and leaking quite badly - so decided to go with a highly recommended specialist to figure out what's going on. He was here for ten minutes, and showed me a two inch stretch where there was NO silicon - allowing water to flow freely into what are supposed to be dry crevices, and eventually, when enough black mold builds, to break a seam and leak. Keep in mind this was the second time they've "fixed" the problem. So, yeah, I'd recommend going elsewhere. No customer service, and the work quality definitely has issues. read more

Nothing but professional knowledgeable people here. Kind and honest is the impression I got. Good people that want to help you. That's all you can ask for. The negative reviews are obviously fake. Research each negative review then go there and ask about the review directly with the staff and you quickly see that each review that was negative was either absurdly exaggerated or they demanded there window be free because they received in their opinion bad customer service. Can't believe how people lie and try to destroy a business with negativity just because they couldn't scam and con the owner and staff. Right now they get 1 star for customer service. They obviously forgot to place my order when I offered to pay for a rush. Oh they can't rush it, but "I will keep you updated". They did not follow up with me like they said they would or we would have known it did not get ordered. I called again to check on status and they said they would call me back, no call. Once again I call for my order, Christina was going to call them and see when the order would be delivered to them. No call back! I call an hour later, "let's see if they responded to my EMAIL, oh your order is here, half of it. How long was that sitting there I wondered? Geez, would never use them again. read more

Holy shitballs Batman! The reviewers who sited poor and rude customer service were not exaggerating. I received a call in the morning that my custom cut table top was ready to be picked up. Great!! Do you close for lunch I asked? No, come on in. I arrived at 12:40 and guess what? The office was closed. About 10 minutes later a woman comes back and unlocks the door. I'm here to pick up my glass table top and, um...I thought you didn't close for lunch? I specifically asked that question FOR. A. REASON. But whatever, moving on. So I stood there for about 30 seconds, waiting for her to pack the glass up and someone to help me load it. When nothing happened, I asked, "Are you going to wrap it?" Nope. "Do you have any bubble wrap for ME to wrap it?" Nope. "So what if I have to brake suddenly and the glass breaks?" That's your problem. You know what the best part was? She asked me why was I so agitated. Newsflash: You sell glass. It is fragile. Don't act like I'm crazy to expect you might want to mitigate the breakage of your product. It's called basic customer service, look it up. And if you need to leave the office unattended, tape a note on the door. I can't read your mind. I don't know if you are closed for the day due to an emergency or if you ran to the bathroom. Communicate. If you don't provide basic packaging, inform the customer so they can bring moving blankets and such when you call to tell them their order is ready to be picked up. Communicate. read more

These guys were great. Threw a baseball through a window in a door. Needed a cheap replacement. Went to several glass places in San Carlos and Belmont, all really expensive. Then asked the contractor fixing my front door latch if he could recommend anyone. He said to call these guys. They were fast, efficient and cost half of any other place. I called them to get a quote for a broken window. They quoted me a price over the phone. I called back to let them know I would like to proceed with the work and they said that if they came out and did it and ran into any issues it would be more expensive. I asked someone to come out and give me a quote (I live 3 blocks away) and they have "free estimates" and the woman said no problem! No one ever came. I called and she said someone would call me back within 24 hours.....after 48 hours I called her back and let her know that they had terrible customer service! Needless to say, I went elsewhere! Made an appointment to get a quote from this company to get a window replaced at my rental. The technician said he'd be at the house sometime between 1 and 2pm to quote the job for me. The company calls me around 1:30 to tell me the technician is running late and it will probably be between 2 and 3 before he arrives. At 3 o'clock he's still not there, so I call them to ask what is going on. The secretary tells me he will probably be there within the next half hour. At this point I had been waiting at the rental for 2 hours. at 3:30 he was still not there, so I called the company again. At this point, after arguing with the secretary and pointing out the service experience I had so far she rudely remarked that I could "take my business elsewhere." Finally, she conceded and agreed to contact him to see what is going on. SHE DIDN'T CALL HIM HALF AN HOUR BEFORE AND JUST GAVE ME SOME BALONEY GUESSTIMATE OF WHEN HE'D ARRIVE. After calling him she informs me he's finally on his way, but he wouldn't get there for another 20 minutes. When he finally arrived, I'd been WAITING FOR 3 HOURS. Unacceptable. Once he arrived and inspected the window, he informed me HE COULDN'T QUOTE HOW MUCH THE JOB WOULD COST AND THE OFFICE WOULD CONTACT ME LATER TO GIVE ME THE ESTIMATE. He brushed off my questions, not to mention he couldn't even speak in proper English. What information he did impart was difficult to decipher through his heavy accent and limited English. He kept saying he had to leave for an appointment in Daly City, and rushed off, after doing a sub par job, and effectively ignoring me. Worst experience I've had with a contractor. 1 star for getting the job done. They did a good job at getting my window fixed but the headaches of actually getting them out to my place was horrific. First they gave me a 2 hour window so I waited only for the tech to call and reschedule me for the next day, sure it happens. The next day the tech came by and took the measurements, said they would call me that day with an estimate. No call that day, I call them back and they gave me the estimate, I said okay and asked when they could come out, they said the very next day but sometime in the afternoon, no definite time. So I took work off to wait for them only to get a call to say he wasn't going to make it. So they reschedule me to the next day but say they don't know when they can come. So I take work off again and wait. Called after and the lady said she didn't even know where the tech was! So I got rescheduled again! And finally after about 4 reschedules and disorganization, they came and fixed the window. They will most likely be my last resort when needing a window fixed. read more

Another door that they installed and warantee has broken. In this case the frame has fallen apart and the door isn't usable. They did come and fix it, without charging this time, but a week or two later it came apart again. Have to call them again and hope they will fix it, not just patch it. read more

I asked for an estimate to replace a cracked mirror on a mirror sliding door. I was willing to bring the door to their shop and pick it up. Pace Glass Company wanted $300 which was $100 more than another glass company to replace the mirror, and this did not include removing the door and installing. Even $200 was too much from the other company when the sliding door was not even worth that much. read more
