Another city, another eye appealing experience. There was no customer lineup here. It was somewhat overcast and hanging just above freezing mark with a breeze. Masks are mandatory before allowed entry. This Toronto store is small-sized compared to recent ginormous garden centres we've visited. Indoor product selection was good and pricing was on the high end. The outdoor display areas were virtually empty due to winter. Aisles are narrow and a shopping basket is the way to go both inside and outdoors. Staff were knowledgeable, offering assistance, and friendly. Checkout was quick. Parking is found on the other side of the road opposite of the front entrance to the building. Wait for it..... Yes, we came home with 2 plant additions to our home!

I don't really buy flowers, because I'm mostly interested in things I can eat, but they seemed to have a good selection of those as well. They have a modest selection of garden supplies, but I don't think that's really their thing. I asked if they sold any trellises to grow my veggies on and he told me "Let them grow over the ground". I said "Yeah, but if I grow them up then I'll have more ground space." Then he looked at me a little annoyed and repeated himself. So, not the best customer service I've seen, but whatever just give me the plants.

As soon as I walked in, a friendly voice called out and asked if I needed help. After a lot of searching, he was unable to find the weeding tool and offered to let me borrow his for the day, which I thought was super nice. Someone else helped me find a bag of soil that I would be able to carry home and a small bag of grass seeds. The damage $6. I was pleasantly surprised with the friendliness and helpfulness of the service, as well as their variety of products: plants, soils, tools, seeds... they even had canning equipment. I'll definitely be back when I'm ready to start REALLY gardening, and not just making my yard presentable.

They are very nice before you contract with them and they will promise you the world, but once they have your monies, they will mess you around for months to the extent they become belligerent. Our job was promised to be finished within 2 weeks, but took over four and a half months to "finish". They will hound you for money, and once you give them deposits and interim payments, you won't see them for days or weeks on end, and then you have to hound them to come back to site and continue. They will give you every bs excuse under the sun why they are not on site ( the supplier was late, the colour was wrong etc etc) and will always be blaming you for their tardiness. At the end, you will eventually discover the inferior work of these people. The best way to get these people to do the job i discovered, was to withhold monies until they "finish". They will also try and charge you for "extras" which should be part of the job - don't fall for this! Oh, and forget about any after sales service - they will promise and lie to you that they will come back and rectify things, but never do. You'll eventually get sick of calling them. FORGET THEM ! There are plenty other firms to choose from in Vaughan Ontario and the GTA.
