This was the best part of my day! I rented a car at the airport the day before, and upon arriving at my hotel, I noticed my tire pressures were 55, 25,26 & 26. Not good! The next morning, I went to an auto parts store in Manchester to have them set my pressures correctly, and was told they couldn't adjust the tire pressure for me. They did send me to DMR Auto Repair. When I entered the shop, Dave welcomed me and accommodated my request to adjust the tire pressure on my rental car before I drove up to near Modanock Mountain. He was cheerful, helpful and above all, understood that I needed help. Of course, when I tried to pay him, he refused any payment. WOW! What a wonderful mechanic. Having just moved here, I am always weary about trying a new mechanic, but Sam exceeds all my expectations. Upon arriving, he and the staff are so friendly and happy to help you. He took time to listen to my concerns and helped explain a few things to me, too. I also greatly appreciated that he called me later that day to fill me in on what the problem. He wasn't pushy in the slightest about fixing unnecessary things.. which I feel like is always the case when I go to other mechanics, he cut straight to the chase and was very honest with me. This place is fantastic. The mechanics are friendly and dependable. Today, on a very cold January day (7F or so!), I was asked if I was sticking around for my inspection. I said I'd stay if my car was going to be looked at quickly, otherwise I'd walk home and wait (I live about a ten minute walk away). The mechanic refused to let me walk home in the cold, and instead drove me back to my street. Another benefit to this was that I could ask him about a sound I've been hearing WHILE I was hearing it, instead of just having to describe it later. These are just good, old-fashioned people. Be careful this guy will lie! I was selling my Volvo and this woman asked if she could bring it to her "mechanic/brother-in law" Sam Daghir and I said sure as I was very confident in my car. She came back and said Sam said I had three bad struts. Of course I wasn't buying it as I have an awesome mechanic who is very honest and I take care of my car. Well, I brought my car to my mechanic and just as I thought there is nothing wrong with any of the struts, not even a leak.
