Went to them for years until they started upselling me in 2024. Ron was the best, but they have a goof by the name of Mark who apparently runs the show since Ron's passing. Stripped my lug nuts on my Tundra and never told me about it. Also, needed a full front end job done including brakes, rods, pads, etc which came out to 1800$. Three weeks later it was doing the same thing. I can go on and on with this shop since this guy Mark took over. Stay away from them....they're a ripoff. read more

I've had the trailer i bought from them for two-years and in that time the roof is leaking at the skylight, the roof is leaking at the front corner, the wire for back door broke off, both cheap keys for the side door snapped off and the side walls on the tire are cracking... When i reach out to them they said $225 to repair the chord even though it snapped after only having the trailer for 6 months. UPDATE: Someone From Ron's saw my review and contacted me. I went into the shop during my lunch break and requested to speak to the owner. I was told the owner passed away. I asked who the new owner was and was told it was Ron's wife and that I was not allowed to speak to her. When I explained that I'm an unsatisfied customer and I'm being told I can't speak to the owner, the person working behind the counter said I could "leave a card, or speak to the owner's Son. I had to wait to speak to the son. The son wanted to shake my hand, I explained that I was unsatisfied. The son (part owner?) repeatedly said he had no idea what was going on. I said "someone saw my review and contacted me, who called me?" An employee behind the counter raised his hand. I said "Ok so you've worked on my vehicle, two times, and this shop is claiming they have no idea what's going on?" I was asked several times to give them an opportunity to explain. When doing so, they're only real response was that they understand that I'm not satisfied, and that they wanted the opportunity to make it right. I explained, yet again... that when I entrusted my classic car to them, it was a running reliable vehicle. I paid them nearly $800 and I received it back, and it stalled In traffic (nightmare situation). When I brought this to their attention they never apologized, and said it was my responsibility to get it towed back to them. In good faith I gave them a second chance to fix their mistake. After working on it a second time, its still stalling. To reiterate, it was not stalling and was a reliable vehicle before they touched my car. Not one time have they offered to refund my money. When asking for a refund the owner/owner rep said "we worked on your car, we provided value..." I said "I paid nearly $800 and my car isn't running what value did Ron's Toy shop provide me?" He responded by asking "why did you bring your car to us? what did we do to your car? we did a tune up." To which I responded "You are the owner, and you don't know what's going on? And I wasn't told you did a tune up." He corrected himself and said they replaced the distributor. But I was being "hostile." Please, learn from my customer service experience. Ron's claims to value customer service: "Born of a time when great customer service was NOT the exception; Ron's Toy Shop strives to give excellent old fashion quality service at competitive prices."-taken directly from their website. Great work and customer service at Ron's! They're the only mechanics I've ever 100% fully trusted. One time I brought my car in when it was acting odd. They ran tests on it and looked it over for an hour and couldn't find a problem. They told me it was likely water that had gotten into a line because of the storm we had just had. They didn't charge me anything because they said they hadn't done any work. They were right about the issue because it never occured again. Any other place would had charged me for the time. They are very fair with the prices when they do make repairs. If you need to use a car while they repair your car, they've always had a car for me to use. They always are able to get me in same day if needed, despite how busy they are. I highly recommend them! read more

Looking for a mechanic is extremely hard now a days. Thankfully for some friends and yelp, i landed on Ron's Toy shop. After my second run with these guys, they made me felt like this was the right place to repair my vehicle. My honda was leaking some sort of oil or coolant and i didnt want the problems to build up. I went over and without charging a dime, they took my car took a look, analyzed the problem, fixed the problem, and charged me a price i was not expecting. $100 bucks to fix a minor leak while honda was trying to charge $750. This store did not disappoint. Went in to buy a hitch for my fifth wheel trailer. Extremely pleasant personnel to talk to and work with. Knowledgeable of their products, and the staff was not pushing to make a sale. Called ahead to let them know I would be arriving close to closing they said not a problem will stay as long as needed. After an exceptionally bad experience with a different trailer dealer, we checked into numerous trailer dealers all over MA and NH to find one who would balance a fair sale with good customer service. Of the many shops that we inquired with, RTS was the only place that didn't try to talk us down on their product or 'bottom line' pricing. Every other shop boasted the superiority of their trailer, while RTS simply made a brief comparison between their Covered Wagon Line and other popular models on the market. They even priced matched the trailer we were interested in with a price given to us by a different dealer. We are very satisfied with our experience at RTS. Horrible experience at Ron's today. I brought my 2008 Toyota Yaris in because the A/C stopped working. They unclogged the filter, but never checked the fan motor. When I left, the A/C was working, but with less power. On the way home, it stopped completely & the fan wasn't working at all. I brought it back and showed Jamie. He could not get it to work. The mechanic came out & turned the car off and on & it worked again- briefly. He said the motor might not be working properly, that I might have to play with it, and that was it! Unbelievable! When I called before they went on vacation (A/C was still working) and told him about the problem, he said it was probably a clogged filter, and the worst that could happen would be a release of water. He DID NOT say the fluid release could ruin the motor! I would have made an appointment elsewhere to have it taken care of while they were on vacation! His response when I called from home:'I can't save lives everyday', 'It was working when you left', 'What do you expect- the car is 12 years old!' Not once did he take responsibility & apologize. It was only when I reminded him that I have referred several people there- people who have much more expensive cares than mine, that he said that they would replace the motor IF I bought one. No more Ron's for me. I am disgusted with Jamie's 'I don't give a shit attitude'! I am taking my care to Auto Care Plus, where my Dad took his for TWENTY years (the same car)! I will be picking up my 84-year-old legally blind father tomorrow in a car that does not have A/C solely because Jamie did not care enough to provide the same service to me that he would for a higher paying male, preferably Trump supporting, customer. I swore off dealership service years ago after recognizing that the experience was probably more like jumping into a tank full of hungry sharks than anything else. My experience with Ron's Toy Shop over the last few years has been great. These guys are excellent at what they do, and know Toyotas like the backs of their hands. They have always been easy to deal with, and I know I can trust them to figure out what a problem is and fix it right the first time. Most importantly, they don't over-sell repairs like some dealerships I used to go to. If they tell me I need something replaced, I can believe that it needs to be replaced (they explain things very well), and that they will charge me a fair price for the repair. I wouldn't take my truck anywhere else. Nice guys doing nice work. If your Toyota is broken, these guys are certainly up to the job of fixing it right, the first time, at a reasonable price. read more
