Elie and all the furry friends were an absolute delight! The whole process from reserving a time for our party, to invoicing and then the actual event was smooth and easy. The animals were adorable, friendly and the kids 2-8yr olds loved interacting with them. Elie explained all the ground rules at the beginning and the kids enjoyed every minute of it. They brought the fence, sanitizer and we added on feeding time, which was fun for all. They were constantly picking up after the animals, so the pen was always clean. This is an amazing experience for both adults and kids alike. The family came and set up shop in my backyard for a very special birthday surprise. They were extremely responsive and flexible with our requests, we couldn't have been happier. We had a combination of rabbits (extra rabbits for me please!), a pig, pygmy goats, roosters and hens. All of the animals were super friendly for our 3 year old. I was worried they might be a little too aggressive, but they weren't. They were super into whatever treats D'Rose provided for us to give them! I can't recommend them enough for your private party, large or small. Absolutely worth it. For those of you hosting at home, all you need is a small amount of lawn space for D'Rose to create a special penned in area. I was one of the main organizers for our school PTA Spring Carnival three day event this year. Due to the pandemic, this was our first virtual "petting zoo". After a few failed attempts with other vendors, D'Rose and Elie came through for our school event. Thank goodness because she was very professional, prompt, and had excellent customer service. We kicked off our virtual Spring Carnival with a "virtual petting zoo" on Wednesday, May 5th in the evening. This specific event was for 50 minutes and was a huge hit with the students from TK to 5th grade. We asked Elie to showcase bunnies, chicks, ducks, chickens, goats/kids, cows, etc. She patiently walked around their farm showing the different animals and the children were "wild with excitement ". She handled their four dozen plus questions with finesse. She showed that they were an actual working farm and that her son, dad, and family members helped around their farm to be successful. The parents and adults "oohed and ahhhedd" along with the children. I don't usually write reviews but this experience was so wonderful I think anyone who loves animals or, knows someone who does, should have the D'Rose Petting Zoo. My daughter, Merry Sara, wanted to have a petting zoo, which I thought was silly to even have a second birthday for a two-year-old. Boy, was I wrong! I did a ton of research and Elie was the most responsive, had the best setup, and was the most reasonably priced. I wanted it to be perfect so I asked Elie a lot of questions and she got back to me every time. Then Merry Sara, Maddelein Rose, & Justin got caught in that nightmare of airline travel in DC. They spent hours at the airport on Weds and were told they couldn't fly out until Sat. Merry Sara was so upset but I was almost relieved as the temperature was going to be 97. I called Elie thinking I would still have to pay something for it or at least my $100 deposit but instead, Elie said she understood and she would try her best to find another date for us. I was shocked as people don't seem so kind anymore. I was really impressed. Well, they were able to get a flight out on Thursday so the party was back on for Sat. If you prefer a short read just know you will have no regrets about hiring Elie. They were very kind and understanding, very professional, and cleaned up each time an animal relieved itself. Everyone loved it and Elie was asked to give out many business cards. Elie's prior event ended up being closer to us than she realized and of course, she loves her animals so wanted to know if she could set up early so animals didn't have to stay in a truck with the heat. The party hadn't started but of course, we said yes. She had a tent that we could rent for a very reasonable price for the animals and the people since it was so hot. I had thought Elie said there would be two handlers but she came too so there were three of them. It is actually a family affair. Her dad and one of her two sons were there. All of them could not have been nicer. She let the birthday girl go in while they were setting it up. She was so very excited. The animals were all exceptional and clean. There were the softest baby bunnies I have ever felt. There were larger rabbits. There were two adorable lambs, plus one large goat and one small goat. The chickens were different. Some beautiful black and white large ones I had never seen before. Two gorgeous orangish smaller chickens and a larger black pot-belly pig. All were so friendly. You didn't have to worry about any of the animals biting or hurting the kids. Because of the heat, Mer had a waterslide and lots of water activities. Kids were very noisy and the animals were not bothered by it at all. My daughter wanted them to be there for one hour whereas I wanted two hours. Elie was so sweet and offered us an hour and a half. But they ended up staying thru the whole time even though they got there so much earlier which I thought was so sweet and professional. You could pet all the different animals and they also provided brushes for the children or adults to brush the animals. Elie also offered a reasonable price to have the children line up along the outside of the fence and feed the animals for the last 15 mins. of the party. All the children not already in the zoo ran from the water activities so they could line up and feed the animals. They were provided with carrots and tortillas and all the kids loved feeding the animals thru the fence and the pig, goats, and lambs loved eating from the children's hands. Those afraid could just throw food over the fence and watch the animals eat it. My granddaughter was the first one and the last one feeding them. The expression on her face and watching the other children in the zoo made me realize that a party for a two-year-old is OK in my book especially if you include the petting zoo. The pictures and videos we were able to take are so precious and even though she won't remember it, we can show her the pictures and tell her what happened. Elie, her dad, and her son were so awesome. I have Parkinson and they couldn't have been more accommodating. They answered any questions our guests and children had. They were extremely patient with all of us. Also, I learned that chickens hide when they want to lay an egg. One chicken laid two eggs and they were given to the Birthday Girl's parents. As I said they were constantly cleaning up if any of the animals relieved themselves. When they left, you would have never even known they were there. Please know Elie and her family throw a great experience. I can't express what a treasured experience it was. We love looking at our pictures and reliving the experience.
