The woman who works here, Donna is the most incompetent, unprofessional, and downright rude person I've ever come across when talking to a "party planner" -as their tag line states. The first time I called she was pleasant and helpful, it was on the 3 other occasions (I left a voice mail- she called me back) that led me to believe that she may not be the best to work with. She failed to recognize me after calling and leaving my information on four different occasions, and insisted on speaking to me like an idiot, or a child (I'd elaborate but this is already going to a long review). When we first spoke, she said there was a possibility she could waive the traveling fee of $75 because she'd be in the area, which was nice even though I was fine with paying it either way. Around the third time of speaking with her she said the charge would be a nonnegotiable $200 and that she won't be in the area at all. I don't know if she's forgetful or just disorganized. She told me she'd write down my information as a side note and sounded like I was crazy for saying "we've spoken before on several occasions." I wish good luck to anyone who wants to hire this organization for their party, seems like if you're not planning on paying thousands of dollars on her your business isn't wanted. I have used "My Pony Party" over the past decade ++ for many events I have produced. I will have to say that the industry of "animal management" has to be so difficult and tiresome. So many rules, regulations, sick animals, drought, leads to so many challenges that it is a business of passion for those who merely must love animals so much. Donna, has been an ambassador of first class efforts to bring joy to thousands of people by providing petting zoo and pony ride services. As purchasers we demand 1st class services. Donna delivers just that service at my events. I can guarantee you that Donna and her associates are not getting rich off making you, your clients and your kids smile. ANIMAL ABUSE: I came across this company today at the Santa Clara County Fair. Aside from the usual lethargic, chained up ponies you typically see I was struck by the one poor little pig in their "petting zoo". This poor pig had lacerations and wounds all over it's body. It looked to me like it had been abused. When I asked the attendant why it was so rashy-looking, she told me he just had a "sunburn". Hmm... if you're running an animal handling business and don't know how to take proper care of them like giving them shade or mud for the pig's skin- I still consider that animal abuse. Not only did the pig look physically not well, but he was also TERRIFIED of the children. He was running away and cowering from the children. In one corner by where we were sitting we could see he was shaking/shivering uncontrollably- who knows if this was from the fear of the kids or his sunburn. I understand the concept of a petting zoo, but I would think you would choose better-adjusted, more domesticated animals to be handled all day (in the beating sun). Or maybe just an older pig as this one was perhaps a baby and wasn't accustomed to this treatment. The pig was frantic and looked like he would bite the kids who came too close! Maybe not a good choice for your "petting zoo". Also, I must say that as a parent I would be concerned letting my children in a pen to touch animal that had such a severe skin condition and wounds (sunburn or not). Additionally, a child gets bit by that poor, scared animal and I imagine you'd have a lawsuit on your hands. This seems like a lose-lose situation for everyone. It was so disturbing to see that pig that my son actually said he wanted to leave the fair because it made him so sad to see an animal that way. read more

It's a no star at all i never ever recommend this company to anyone if it's ever seen as a company!! to me it's a nightmare the person I deal with was Glen very rude,unprofessional Selfish animal abuser. I was on a phone back to back for 2hr trying to guide giving him my physical address and telling him nearest high school but because he doesn't know how to put address correctly he told me he doesn't have gps ‍ then 2hr later he got to my house he texting me he will charge me 50$ more because he drove wrong address Which doesn't make sense to me but I was okay with him been late and been charged more money and all off that rudeness because I have about 60 Guests at home to host.... Me thinking I will be dealing with his Manager next day But Glen didn't have 2 min patience for us to show him where to park his truck instead he started taking the animal out from our neighbors driveway and mess all the driveway he Block the road with dirty grass and animal foods.....my husband went out and told him that is not right he need to pick up all the dirt and to park his car at our parking lots. That was for him a big no no we are not going to get the pony or bunny his start packing up and told us he cancel the party and go back where he come from we try to talk to him he doesn't wanna talk he is very rude ignorant never seen in my life! Monday I called to his office ask for manager Rachel who is assistant manager talk to me I explain everything he dose for her she was sorry for what happened and she said that Glen have this kind of issue before as well! So she also agreed that to give me back my deposit I was waiting 5 Business days to get my money back it didn't happen I called back and they told me I can't get my money back and owner called me back and talk to me rudely I believe that is the same guy who came to my house so I could not get my money back for the party that they cancelled on me and Embarrassed In front of 60+people who was expecting to have a beautiful fun pony party with my daughter! Donna seems to have a huge cow chip on her shoulder. She is grossly unprofessional, just downright nasty. If I could give negative stars for this company, I would. Her company was hired for a child's event and one of her workers actually started arguing with a parent in front of all the children. That totally ruined the tone for all of us who were tryng to have fun with our kids. Donna has no clue why people don't use her and doesn't seem to want to find out. She can say anything she wants to try to redeem all of these negative ratings, but the fact is - she is mean, rude, and damaged. As a preschool teacher i thought by hiring a farm lady for farm week would be fun for the kids. Well i thought wrong! The girl (KAITLYN) that came to our school was very uninformative, she kept saying "i dont know" to every question we asked. Im very saddened by the way her performance was with the animals. We saw this group at the Santa Clara County Fair just like Michelle B. We also saw a piglet with a skin problem. I don't know if it was the same day or even the same pig. It didn't look that bad and it's disposition was okay. My friends and I have kept pigs before and also had problems with sunburns...it happens. I'm sure Michelle B.' s kid has NEVER had a sunburn before, otherwise someone would have written a review for CHILD ABUSE. Really shocked by all of the bad reviews, came on here to find some extra info for a flyer. We are a retirement community and we always book My Pony Party for our Annual Easter Celebration. Our seniors as well as their huge families, children of all ages, absolutely love the petting zoo. It is the most popular thing about our Easter Party. Myself, as an insane animal lover, adore this feature every year. All of the animals have looked well cared for and just happy. Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing the adorable pigs and rad goats next month! read more

I wish I could click 0 stars. Didn't show up, on my child's 1st birthday party. All the guests were expecting pony and bunny farm. She told me they couldn't get the "pony in the vehicle"...yea, ok. I was told this 15 minutes before they were supposed to come. It was embarrassing and disappointing since all the kids and parents were expecting a pony and bunnies! Personally, I think they had another party right after mine and would make more money so they bailed on my party. Because when I asked if they could just bring the bunnies, since the pony couldnt come, but they were on the way to another party? But I was confused since they were supposed to be at my party. Too bad, I work with several children's programs. I was considering using them for my after school programs regularly if this went well. Well THAT definitely won't happen. Don't work with them if you want any kind of dependability. Book at a great risk of no show! I will be booking another company for all my children's programs. read more

Had a farm animals petting zoo from them for my daughter's birthday party. The kids liked it a lot.

I should have read the other reviews. When the male handler showed up with his pregnant helper, the parents had to help him with the set up and moving the animals. Then the handler completely ignored the little animals and handled the pony -only- during the three hours. It was a 'zoo' inside the little pen with too many kids and the animals running around unattended, so my guest's had to help keep an order. read more

We had the petting zoo at my daughter's birthday party, which was supposed to include a host of small animals plus a pot-belly pig, which is what we were most looking forward to. They came and set it up but had no pot-belly pig. Apparently the pig needs to go home to it's mother every few weeks and Donna neglected to tell me this was one of those weeks. We were very disappointed. If you are booking this, be sure to get clarification about what will and won't be at your party. In addition, the children, who are 9-10 years old, were not allowed to pick up any of the animals and only allowed to pet them with one finger. We didn't know this until the day of the party and it made the whole experience disappointing. The kids did their one-finger pet and were pretty much done after 15 minutes. For $250 for one hour, it wasn't worth it. read more
