I called and left a message, and they called me back promptly. I was able to book an appointment the next morning. I was quoted a simple fee with no add ons, which is great because I like it when things are simple. Drop off was easy. The layout of the shop is an open concept, so you can see all the groomers and the dogs they're working on. Service was pretty fast, and they'll call 15 minutes before the service is complete. Everything was AMAZING. This place knows how to give your dog the best experience of their lives. My boys never had a professional grooming experience because no one was willing to take them because they bite out of fear. If you knew their former lives, you would understand. A long time ago I used to take my first dog to Petsmart for grooming and he always hesitated and stopped in his tracks right when the door open and I'd have to force him to go in. This was a big sign for me. D-Tails Pet Spa is the exact opposite. My current dog would enter without hesitation and enjoyed seeing the workers there. After 3 hours I would pick him up and he has the same reaction leaving just with a new fluffy hair cut. To me this shows that they handled my pup with care. When we first brought our puppy there, they let us know what little things we can do at home with our pup to make his experience more pleasant. Example is to hold our puppy's chin hair so he gets used to it as that's a thing for their groomers when cutting his hair. D-Tails Pet Spa is a very friendly and welcoming place! Both of the owners were super nice and kind. I came in with my golden doodle super matted (very difficult to manage; new owner!) Daniel was very nice and told me that the cut that I wanted would be $100. However, I mentioned that this would be my dog's first time getting his hair done. He told me since it is his first time, he's going to see how it goes. Which I understand, it's my dog's first time so Daniel doesn't know what to expect when grooming him. When my dog was ready, I didn't expect him to look like that. I expected to him to have his hair cut like how I requested. Instead, he was trimmed like one centimeter. Daniel did a good job on getting his matts out and trimming his nails, but I didn't expect him to only trim his hair. He mentioned that my dog would pull away his paws every time he trimmed his nails and wouldn't cooperate. Which I understand because he was nervous. If I knew what service would be given, I would definitely not pay $100 for this. But I do thank you for doing a good job on getting his matts out! However, last time coming here. I don't think $100 is worth for getting his matt out, and no hair cut. read more

We have tried a variety of dog groomers in Vegas from Petco to mobile groomers to other shops, but this place has always been the best. It's not the most glitzy or glamorous pet spa and features a simple exterior and interior. Masks are required now for customers due to the viral pandemic. One minor complaint is that their website is extremely basic and doesn't offer online appointment scheduling or even a price list or menu of services that I could find. Similarly inside the store there doesn't seem to be a menu board or sign listing all their services and prices. The staff have always been very friendly and seem genuinely happy to work with your fur baby. They do a consistently great job on our two Poms. Their haircut is always just the right length (other places always left it too long) and they smell great and just overall look perfect. They always seem to enjoy their time there and never come back stressed or traumatized. Their full service groom is $55 for each doggie (about 7 lbs each). If you pay for their tooth brushing add-on once ($5 I think?) you get to keep the toothbrush and then the teeth brushing is free when you get it thereafter if you bring the brush back. I have taken my two large dogs to D-Tails twice now, and I'm so glad I found this groomer! The owner is so friendly and you can tell he genuinely cares about animals, which makes me feel much more comfortable leaving my pups in his care. Both times my dogs have come back looking amazing! They get a bath and get trimmed where needed. Both times they were shedding way less too, which is awesome for me. They are now reopen after the COVID-19 stay home for Nevada closure, and they are already getting booked up quick! I had been getting mobile grooming since Covid hit and I wanted to find a groomer that was a bit less expensive. A neighbor of mine had gone to D-Tails (she also has a maltipoo) and her pup always looked great so I decided to give them a try. I made an appointment over the phone and the man who answered was so kind and friendly! We got an appointment for that same weekend which was absolutely great and such short notice. When Milo and I arrived, we were kindly greeted by everyone in the salon. I believe the gentleman's name at the reception desk was Daniel, but I did not catch the owner's name. Well I am assuming she is the owner, but I could be wrong! Either way all the staff is amazingly nice! Seems to be a nice friendly/family owned local business. When I picked Milo up, just a bit over an hour later, he looked AMAZING! Perfectly groomed exactly how I asked. They take notes and really care about doing good repeat business. Apparently, we had a communication issue. I asked to keep my pups length, but I didn't mean only trim her paws and shave her tummy. I still expected that they would trim her up all over but on the longest setting, and at the very least clean up her face and hind legs. It feels like a paid 45 dollars plus 20 tip to just get her bathed. She was in her carrier bag when I arrived to pick her up, or I would have noticed and asked that they do more to clean up the back of her legs and her face. The photos are from days later, after her bow was taken out. She looks pretty much the same as before taking her in which is disappointing. Also, something to note: I believe you have to pay extra for a nail trim, because her nails are still long and looked untouched. This was included in the grooming service I had at another place, however, this may not be included here. If it isn't included here, it would be nice if they asked if I wanted it added on since they are noticeably overgrown. I hate giving less than 5 stars, but I've been here twice and she is either shaved down way too low, or left with hair untouched and too long in places. My suggestion is, if you go here, be very clear that you still want your dog trimmed everywhere even if you want the hair longer. Also, specifically ask for a nail trim, because it may not be included. read more

I took my 2 dogs to the groomers for the first time and decided on D-Tails after reading many reviews. When I called to make an appointment I got the answering machine and left a message. To my surprise I got a call back from the owner who answered all my questions. The following week I took the girls in, they were a mess with knots and tangles. I requested wash (which comes with a blueberry facial), haircuts and wanted the dogs teeth cleaned. We were warmly greeted by both the owners, and they were so welcoming to the dogs getting on the floor to introduce themselves to them before taking them back! They explained the whole process and quoted me a reasonable price, I immediately could see they have a passion for their profession and felt at ease with leaving the girls for the first time. When we came to pick up the girls I couldn't even recognize them, their haircuts were so cute! The owner informed me that my dogs were really nervous and that he decided not to try to brush their teeth as they would not be able to do a proper job and he didn't want to charge me for something that they were not able to do correctly! He is a pekingese so their fur is super thick and long.. a handful to deal with sometimes lol We checked in 10 mins late and they were still so sweet, accommodating and friendly!
