But then we met Jesse who was professional and responsive and took over the project. We had to wait 9 months until they were able to come and complete the project. This was due to supply chain issues with getting the railings, compounded by cold weather (freezing temperatures could crack the granite when drilling). As with any contractor- there are always some missing touches that require additional care after project completion. In our case- it was loose post caps, prior granite holes not completely filled with silicone, loose fence post. Jesse was responsive, responsible and came to repair ASAP. His partner, Troy is also amazingly diligent and kind. We've had different contractors work on different things- and they've all had to come back to fix/touch up after their initial project. So don't be surprised if you need them to come back. All things considered- we are very pleased with the final results. Good things are worth waiting for and his railing work is outstanding. Troy was also very nice and sweet so that was a bonus!

We called NYC A1 and the owner, Moe, inspected the damage and pointed out that a leak from beneath the wall-in shower on the floor above had thoroughly saturated the supporting ceiling joist over some period of time. Repair required a partial demolition of the shower above so we decided to bite the bullet and redo that bathroom completely. Moe gave us a fair price and stated the job would take 3 to 4 weeks. I am always dubious of timelines that contractors provide so I assume it would take longer. Moe's capable team showed up three days after I signed the contract. They were very professional, protected the rest of the house from the bulk of the construction with tarps and plastic sheeting, showed up consistently (including on two Saturdays), and worked full days. Long story short, work was completed in three weeks. We are thoroughly delighted with the final products. See photos below. Highly recommended.

He and his assistant Jonathan were informative and had realistic numbers for the project's materials and labor. However, when asked for a summary of expenses-- we received an inaccurate floor plan and digital rendering 2x without an explanation of costs. It was not scaled to the correct measurements and it had items that were not requested for our foot print. In a crunch, we need TANGIBLE pricing to send to the bank to secure the remodeling loan, NOW. I'm sure with more 'back and forth' Omar and his team would be a good fit for our Kitchen/Dining remodel. But right now, we just need this done.
